Just realised what situation we're in. Guess it's time to press the panic button. Seen enough to understand the managers ambition ain't the same as the boards. Well in though ronnie bhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep I a defender of NL not so much because I thought he was great but because he continually slated on here when he was a good manager for us. DN you can have all the opinion you want and I enjoy our clashes but its your name calling that's out of order.Check your posts you constantly call people clowns persons etc. Playground stuff cut it out. Ed you putting words in my mouth I never said I enjoyed losin a final.Taking the old firm game aside because that is important (or was) the cups are no longer sexy, floating peoples boat any more.Sozbut beating Hibs, Morton, Dumbarton then a St. Mirren in a final just doesn't do it for me anymore.Do you honestly think Manchester United fans care about losin to MK Dons. Europe is where its at that's what gets the money, that's what gets our juices flowing.Sorry but I will take beating a Barca in a CL night over beating the current dross to a cup final.The CL is where the prestige is, its where the money is, it brings the full houses, it brings the better players. Europe sits up and takes notice when we beat a Barca or Man Utd. Do you think it cares when we beat St>Mirren in a final.Since we on the topic of NL and he gets lambasted for wasting money. Look at what he brought in. 40m in CL money, over 30m in transfers let me ask you all where would we taking out 70m out of or budget last couple of years?

Agree0 Disagree0

I never brought up his cup record you did lol. I was talking about RDs inability to beat inferior teams. You cherry picked the cup games but failed to mention beating all these team regularly.You and a few others seem to think RD is good because he talks a good game. Well I don't want him to talk a good game I want him to win 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He didn't beat them regularly in the cups though, we were regularly put out though, at least he was consistent, pity it was consistently bad. You can't argue with facts, no matter how much you don't like them, and the facts are there, 2 cups out of 9 with nobody mounting any real challenge is a pathetic record and only a moron would consider that a success in the current climate with no Rangers any more.}

Considering the stats of MON, WGS, and Lennon, there not the worst
Neil Lennon
League. Titles. - 3
Scottish. Cups - 2
League. Cups - 0
Last 16 - 1
Win percentage. -69per cent
Won 159 games from 228

Gordon. Strachan
League. Titles. - 3
Scottish. Cups - 1
League. Cups - 2
Last 16 - 2
Win percentage. -69per cent
Won 122 games from 182

Martin One Neill
League. Titles. - 3
Scottish. Cups -3
League. Cups - 1
European. Final - 1
Win percentage - 75 per cent
Won 213 games from 282

While iam the first to admit his cup records poor,overall not bad.

Ed, when does guidetti's contract expire?,
If the move is rattiefied will it be in good time for us to get him on a free?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - His contract doesn't expire to next summer.}

Off topic ED but nonetheless I thought worthwhile posting

Tonights INDY-DEBATE at Assembly Halls (Edinburgh) was the best yet. It was direct questioning, good, robust answers (not disagreeing for the sake of it or petty point scoring as Salmond / Darling seem openly too happy to engage in).

The debate matured tonight and I thought both sides told their stories intelligently with a high degree of clarity and conviction.

So well done Mr Harvie, Mr Alexander, Ms Sturgeon, Ms davidson, Elaine C Smith and Khazi Dugdale

let's have more debates like this

well done mr ponsemby too .a brilliant performance as "chair"

surprised better together haven't asked Celtic to join the EPL.!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was an excellent debate and have to say Nicola Surgeon is a very confident speaker.

I'm not a huge SNP fan but was impressed with the way she came across.

Elaine C Smith was just fabulous 👍

New signing Stefan Scepovic has insisted Celtic were always 'his first choice' and denied saying he did not want to join the Scottish champions.

The Serbian striker's move to Celtic appeared to break down amid reports he was signing for Getafe, but 24 hours later he sealed a £2.3m switch to Scotland on transfer deadline day.

'My first option was always Celtic', Scepovic said as he was unveiled by the club on Tuesday.

'I never said I didn't want to come.'

I believe him and will believe him even more if he score over 30 goals.

A big welcome Stefan :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said Mrs E…and remember he is happily married so no trying to do that WAG manoeuvre on his debit!

Agree0 Disagree0

I did notice he was rather easy on the eye lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He's better looking that nicola sturgeon that's for sure ….as for elaine C smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't going to say anything else; The fact he was in Spain with only hours to go in the window suggests otherwise, however I do hope he makes a difference as the team needs all the help it can get at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just glad we have signed a striker. Hopefully he is what we have been missing

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest, would you rather play in Spain's topflight with Getafe or in Scotland with Celtic, its a no brainer if you ask me.

Play Barca, Real, Atletico, Bilbao Villarreal, Valencia, Sociedad or play Hamilton, Ross County, St Mirren and all the other crap in Scotland.

If your a Celtic fan, a genuine one not like the Robbie and Roy Keane' - you know the kid on Celtic supporters that actually support Engerlish teams then it would be Celtic always.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kev T when you listed the teams from spain and scotland (in terms of opponent) I thought it was 50/50 to be honest ….until you said hamilton …

see what I did there

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice won!

I don't understand how tom cleverly can move to Aston villa and they don't need FIFA to confirm it there fa gave it the ok and he is now a villa player, we are in the exact same situation yet we need to go to FIFA is this because we are in the europa league and for him to play in that competition they have to agree?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2014 22:01:45
Can anyone shed some light on the Guidetti situation please?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Celtic receive the documents from Man City and faxed them to the SFA in plenty of time, the SFA contacted the club and said the player was still registered as being on loan at Stoke. CFC contacted City to ask for documentation confirming that the loan had ended.
CFC applied for an extension and after some frantic communications the relevant documents eventually arrived around 23.10.
The SFA and UEFA registered Guidetti as a CFC player but now they need final clarification from FIFA.}

So it's done then. Hope he gets back to how he was in the Eredivisie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they need clarification from fifa if the sfa spfl and uefa have all reg him

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's the rules, Marco, and it's not like we haven't benefited in recent years from the governing bodies' thoroughness when it comes to paperwork.}

I get what your saying ed. Do you think uefa would give us special dispensation for him playing in the Europa League

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If we are allowed to register him domestically I don't see why they would stop us registering him for the EL.}

02 Sep 2014 21:58:11
Evening Ed,

If this Guidetti deal could be time barred after tonight?

Thought of a clever way around it Man City release him now from that contract now and with RD being close to Man City we agree the now (even on the q t, but see real no need for that) to go to the Ethiad? Stadium next season in a "pre-season" friendly RD has indicated he is not prepared to "plane/train/automobile next season"

Obviously Man City are not short of a few bob but even they need a "pre season" we would fill the away end for sure WIN WIN your thoughts please?

Right I'm no song writer but surely the new song will be

There's only one John guidetti,
He puts the ball in the netty.

Dunno what the rest will go like. Too bad he's not Portuguese!

Anybody tried to buy their 3 match package for Europa league yet? If you haven't and you sit in the lower tier you will find your season seat has been taken by ST holders from the top tier and you'll have to find a seat elsewhere.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2014 21:42:48
Ed, apologies mate this situation is probably doing your head in but can you clear up the Guidetti situation as it stands at the minute! I'm confused!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note -The SPFL and SFA confirm Guidetti’s paperwork was filed at the the SFA/SFPL after FIFA the deadline, both our governing bodies are to petition FIFA on Celtics behalf.}

02 Sep 2014 21:31:32
Ed how can signing guidetti run into 2morrow if the deadline for Europa league is midnite? Thought everytin was signed, just a case of FIFA approving it?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The people at FIFA have a bed time the same as the rest of us.}

02 Sep 2014 21:11:30
Does anyone think if Craig Gordon can keep fit he will be signing of the season! A don't think we will miss Forster that much tbh, a think a fit Gordon is better than a fit Forster!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2014 21:36:30
Ok Craig

Agree0 Disagree0

No No he ain't better than FORSTER!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jamiebhoy…did you see the forster attempt at the weekend for the west ham goal…there was a deflection but it should't have bothered FF…and yet….it was a dreadful attempt to save a low shot…technique was all over the place

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 22:34:42
Time will tell I suppose .

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Paradise a never seen the West Ham game so I take you word for it mate

I did take an interest in the West Brom game because of the potential Sammy/FF Factor it was excepted that FF won them the point Koeman stating Wont be long till he is England's No.1

I think big FF is the best ever Celtic GK a have seen although he grew into it IMO

As a GK myself a suspect CG's "report card" will only read certainly over the duration of his current contract "so far so good" given what he has been through, but I was all for him in the first instance ATVB

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I loved big FF I honestly think that if CG can stay fit then we have a winner.

Hi Ed do you think the man city swedish striker we want on loan will sign before midnight

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - No, it'll run into tomorrow but I would imagine he will be allowed to be registered for Europe if he is allowed to register for CFC.}

02 Sep 2014 18:06:14
I heard that guidetti can play domestically but not in Europe till uefa sanction the deal is this true ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - No.}

Thanks ed

02 Sep 2014 15:59:30
Hi ed, well done on last night you where one very busy man! My question is do you think we will sign any free players? I see Modibo Diakité got released by sunderland he's a centre back looking at his career he played a lot for lazio but fell out of favour at sunderland, do you think or anyone whos seen him think he could do a job for us?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Thanks very much. Diakite is a good shout, he'd certainly be an improvement on Ambrose. A couple of free agents who caught my eye are Sotiris Ninis, 24 years old Greek, can play as an ACM or on either wing, he's recently left Parma and surely if we moved for him Samaras could help any deal.
Also Ermin Zec who has left Gençlerbirliği in Turkey, the 26 y.o. Bosnian left-winger can also play up front or in behind the main striker and is comfortable with the ball on either foot.
22 y.o. Romanian CB Mihai Leca has left Concordia Chiajna in his own country and would do a good job for us from what I have been told of him. I've been looking at LBs available on a free but nobody is standing out to me.}

Ed get on the phone to Celtic and get them told, think everyone agrees that defence needed improved. Remember and ask for 10% of any future transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed. Where do you get your info on bosman players I've been looking for 3 days and can't find a think. Can you post a link to the web page you use cheers. Keep up the good work . Hail hail.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We have our own databases we use for information, sorry. Try www.transfermarkt.co.uk

Youve done your homework ed! Thing I find crazy is how me and more so you and others can think of all these players that would surely add something but our well paid management team and scouts never seem to come up with anything like them, also how people on here knew the likes of balde, pukki etc wouldn't make the grade but again the scouting team thinks otherwise, i'd love to actually hear what the scouts and management say about these players prior to buying them. Perhaps a sneaky look on here would help them out! Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 17:03:50
I see today's poll is asking if Delia will last, I have already posted weeks ago that I had serious doubts about him and even said he could be another Mowbray.
However a few things have made me think again some of which I list below.
I think it was RD who told Lawwell not to sell VVD.
Even before this RD said that our pre season preparations must be geared towards CL qualification and NOT money spinning friendlies all over the globe.
He has cleared the decks of underachievers and reduced our wage bill.
OK it is mostly loan players brought in, but if they live up to expectations most will be better than we had, giving us some much needed pace in our team.
My only nagging doubt is Scepovic as he could be a troublesome player if things are not going his way, I really hope I am wrong with the Serbian only time will tell with him and with RD.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have been harsh on Deila as I think he hasn't been playing a system that suited the players he was playing . Now he has a squad that should be more suitable, and if he can moderate his formations we could have a very successful season . Although I am looking forward to our next league game . I am fully aware that it could take four or five games to see any improvement and maybe near the end of the year before we see the real thing .

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think he's not up to it i'm afraid. Yes he was left a squad needing an overhaul but this system he's trying to play is terrible, it just doesn't work and he's either too stubborn or doesn't have the tactical know how to change and adapt during games, europe was always going to be a big ask with the current squad and the lack of signings before the CL play offs but the performances against St Johnstone, ICT and Dundee were absolutely shocking and to be perfectly honest are unacceptable as the squad we have now should still be blowing these teams away.

Maybe he's due a longer run to get Brown back and Tonev, Wakaso, Scepovic, Denayer and hopefully Guidetti into the team to see what he can do but from what i've seen so far i'm not convinced he's up to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Tim,

For me he has to stop looking incompetent/out of his depth

He has to stop making incompetent/strange weird even decision taking

I accept he willnever come across now as being incompetent!

As for VVD a think we have we have him sadly for another full season at this he will have 2 yr left on his deal and with getting selected for the Dutch his value will be at its maximum I am happy he I staying but just have a gut feeling he will have pulled aside like big FF and said "knuckle down, don't give us any probs (not that FF did btw) and you will get your move NEXT season, I am happy he is staying

Am happy we shifted Pukki & Balde

As for loans as long as the contract is "stacked" in our favour in terms of even "cherrypicking" the good from the bad am fine with that before now loans like Miku, the pole forward, never really got much game time so this lot will for sure!

We were crying out for CB cover CDM cover a would love to have seen Jackson Irvine get a wee chance there because he can play both he played 30 games for Killie last season and there he was according to there manager "head and shoulders" above any one else there

A have no real issue with Scepovic anyone plying any trade is always going to have preferred "options" and a "back up plan" a don't doubt like any foreigner now he will see us as a "stepping stone" we cannot win here am afraid if he "sets the world on fire" the wolves will be at the door!

ATVB Tim hope each day you getting a bit better mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi for me RD has not had the full backing he deserves JC just sits there not doing anything and I think its a board fall back plan if RD falls flat on his face .IF that is true how can any one operate the way they want to knowing some one is waiting for him to mess up

Agree0 Disagree0

To all of you on this thread. PL could not have been CLEARER…RD has the Board's backing and this will be a multi-chapter transition for the foreseeable future

he is not going anywhere
he has a new system to implement
he has a new regime that needs time to manifest
he has a philosophy on the game, the player, the "professional footballer", the man etc etc

this will require adjustment and patience and compromise

if he ain't going anywhere then behind the scenes the powers that be must be convinced ….they are right to get behind him

time to re-engage and give him a proper chance…clean slate etc

Ed any idea wats happening with guidetti? Is it likely to happen and if so will he be registered for Europe as the deadline was last night was it not?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The deadline for the EL is 23.00 tonight, Tam. The SFA have contacted FIFA to ask permission for Guidetti to be registered as a CFC player.}

Wats the chances of that happening you think mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd say pretty good.}

That auld 2nd class post can be very slow .

02 Sep 2014 14:47:23
What's the script with guidetti Ed? Is he signing or not? Heard it was a done deal last night but time ran out, same thing happened with falcao at Manchester United and they were allowed to sign him? Also Aston villa are still tryin to sign cleverly from Man U today! Do u have any info Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Guidetti is still in Glasgow, at the minute there's nothing else CFC can do.}

02 Sep 2014 10:49:54
Ed I read on here commons has signed a new contract with us is that true and of so how long is the contract for?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Nothing has been signed yet as far as I'm aware.}

02 Sep 2014 10:00:13
Ed according to some papers celtic are still trying to seal the Guidetti deal do you think we will finally get this deal done or should we except the fact it's dead in the water? Would love this lad up front with Scepovic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm quietly confidant.}

Watching transfer deadline last night, around 11o'clock a few English teams were granted an extension to finalise deals can that same extension not be applied to celtic to complete the signing of guidetti any one shed some light on this.killy.

Hi Ed, just wanted to say THANKS last night for you efforts and keeping us up-to-date

A suspected that you would be so busy yesterday " cuttin n a pastin " a bought a wad of shares in PRITTSTICK! lol

After listen to us demented over the weekend you don't have to go to the cattle market mate you can just have the rest of the " wee calf"

But a suspect you may have to stay on standby when someone figures oot PELE is available and out of contract no doot someone will be a posting asking you something

ATVB Ed JB7

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Jamie.}

02 Sep 2014 10:35:16
Thank you once again Ed 007 for your usual hard work, keeping up with the twists and turns of another one of these God forsaken windaes.
I have never liked them and in my opinion we as a club are not particularly competent during them.
The players leaving are rarely a problem and the moves are arranged swiftly and smoothly as the beneficiary clubs do their utmost to obtain players seen as surplus to our plans.
Especially when a large fee is involved and we cannot seem to get the player out the door quick enough, while we worry about a suitable replacement later. Usually too late to sign anyone of similar ilk?

The way we scurry around in a panic at the last minute scrambling for what's left is all too familiar.
What happened with Guidetti was typical after we had already released Pukki, Balde and Fridjohnsson.
Scepovic was very lucky to get another chance after 'changing his mind' and he will be glad of an International break before he makes his debut as the support may have calmed down by then.
If I could go back to Pukki and Balde; those were our main striker signings when Hooper left and how foolish do we look now, and who is at fault for such a waste of money and lack of judgement?

Anyway too late for tears now and although I am disappointed as usual as another window shuts, at least we never lost Van Diijk - just yet.
I suppose this break might help - as we are in the middle of a mini crisis on the field - and we can re group and settle the new guys in even though most of them are loanees with no real affiliation to Celtic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the face of it, the break could help.
But the problem is that it will be the middle of next week before most of our players are back from Int Duty . Deila won't have much time to get to know his new players or they him .

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 09:16:02

It seems Atajic and Toshney have been released.

Any others released?

Paul George and Darnell Fisher still at the club?

02 Sep 2014 11:28:57
Isn't it no brilliant once the Griffiths deal collapsed. Then so did the Guidetti deal!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Give it a rest. Fed up reading posts from people having a go at the board. Sometimes its justified but this time I do think they were trying to do these transfers

Agree0 Disagree0

The board had all fecking summer to sort out these issues they knew we needed players especially strikers ( that can score actual goals ) this running about with 3 hours to go trying to sign players is nonsense and as for give the board a break you give us a break! We would probably be in champions league if we had done this before legia/Maribor games and we all know that

Agree0 Disagree0

Tam, Celtic doesn't have the financial clout, Celtic isn't playing in a popular top league and the climate isn't the best either . It's not unreasonable that we have to wait until the window is over to pick up players we hope will benefit us . This year well done Board we have come out stronger than we went into .

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 09:21:03
Happy bhoy today, got rid of the dross and brought in the striker we wanted . I hope we can sign guidetti on loan or permanent deal that would give us great fire power for the season please please celtic don't let this lad slip away!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2014 07:50:18
Southampton signing Sadio Mane from Red Bull Salzburg might help us out. 45 goals in 87 games! One less goal threat to worry about

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Seen this last night and was thinking the same thing hopefully they didn't spend big on a replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 07:47:26
Am I the only Celtic fan not overwhelmed by the Serbian player signing, Celtic where is your pride, the guy turned us down hoping for a bigger pay cheque elsewhere and when that failed "hey Celtic I will do you a favour and sign for you (ps any more cash in the pot?)
No Scepovic is NOT for me.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 Sep 2014 09:25:47
When's all these superstar signings being unveiled. Another very very successful transfer window. your not alone Timmaloy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he's here now so you may as well swallow your pride and back him. I'd rather have him than nobody because we needed some quality up front. People make mistakes so let's give him the chance to make up for it on the pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 2 - Got to agree with you 'Kevbhoy' . We were left without a Strike Force last season, and relied on the magnificent efforts of Kris Commons to fill that, so obvious, gap . ( Stokes running around on his own aimlessly and blaming others for his mistakes, would've been dire to watch for another season . )

The Sno Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Timalloy, what evidence are you basising it was a money issue on?

Agree0 Disagree0

What now happens if scepovic gets an injury we are left with stokes and griffiths up front 3 fu@£n strikers to do us in Europe surely not enough! Hope this Serbian is everything he is made out to be because we are in trouble if he is anything like the ones that just left .

Agree0 Disagree0

2, 3 & 4 synopsis will do for me let's face it! would you stay in the country you are used to or try for there as your first option in plying your trade?

Way a see it also " he has to bust a gut " to appease those who feel otherwise

Hoppy Days

Agree0 Disagree0

Speculation. Same guys on here that hate and slag off the media but are so quick to believe everything that's said. The guy maybe didn't want to move his family out of Spain. There could be 100 reasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think today shouldn't be a day for negativity . It's always easy to be negative, but one way or other I think we have gathered together a good squad that should give Deila a chance to restart the season .

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 02:20:43
Ed is it true that commons has taken a pay cut to sign a new deal? If so its an absolutely disgusting thing to do to that man.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It was the only way he was ever going to get a new deal, it was a like it or lump it deal, agree to it or be sold.}

Shoddy - but typical - from Celtic. It's obviously affecting him as his performances have been very half hearted to date - and no wonder.
Yet another negative issue in a string of poorly handled incidents at our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it a disgusting thing to do he's older less mobile and is still prob being offered good money. It was a fantastic jesture to oscars family and he did well in spfl last year but I don't think it means you can write your own cheque.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not surprised if Commons is given a contract until he is nearly 34, he should be asked to take a pay cut . Most clubs would do the same . Arsenal for example only gives 1 year contracts to over 30's

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 01:38:56
Only in Glasgowcelticland can a club mess things up so much. totally acting like an amateur pub team. taking sooo long to tie Guidetti up. letting us down badly as usual now he's being told to negotiate his relies from Manchester for us to sign him. sure if he does that he can sign for f@#king anyone!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you work at the club? Do you know something the rest of us don't? Only the clubs and players know what happened. I heard that it was City's paperwork that held it up but again that's just speculation.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2014 01:29:33
Just seen on sly sports that the paper work was not passed in time for Guidetti but if Guidetti can negotiate his release from man city then when can sign him on a free, but surly if he gets released from city he will go to someone for more money? Hope we get him but could be another own that's slipped through the net. What's your views on this Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Honestly, my flabber is gasted, it's bizarre :/

Ed, I know that is the story but I don't believe that. It more likely that since we signed The Serbian striker Scerpovic that PL wanted a way out of the Guidetti deal? If that is not the case then God help us as it was reported that he had signed around 10pm last night. More PL spin I think? What do you know Ed? By the way good job yesterday.

Ed do you know if he can actually sign for anybody if he gets released. I heard that even if he gets released he can't sign for anyone till January as it was after the deadline?

{Ed007's Note - Without UEFA dispensation he won't be allowed to be registered until January. As it was a clerical error that held tge deal up UEFA might allow him to register for us, and us only. He is already listed as a CFC player on UEFA's official website.}

Thanks ed.

Great job as always Ed. What are your feelings on how we have done in this window with ins and outs assuming we complete the Guidetti deal?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Thanks very much, Marty. I'm happy but still wondering why it was left so long and what could have been. I'm not particularly keen on loan players, come this time next year we could be back to square one.}

So 1 player in and 4 loaned out. I suppose from PL view it has been good business. Maybe I'm just too pessimistic these days but I see this as a failed opportunity to show faith in the fans and some ambition for the season including Europa. Was hoping for a bit of excitement but should have known better. Ach well, I'm also a realist and you can only bring in players who want to come to our tuppencehalfpenny league. Hail, Hail.

Hi Ed what's this rumour about Georgi Kinkladze?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I have no idea???.}

Googled him he's 41 must have been a joke. A poor one at that

{Ed007's Note - I was wondering what you were on about lol He was a cracking player for Man City back in the 90s and we did try to sign him.
