To win a game ur ment to score more
If they get 3 u need 4
When u get back we'll be waiting
u'll be knackerd we'll be celebrating {Ed007's Note - What tune is that meant to be sung to??}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not decided yet ED. If I sing it, you hum it, and between us we'll kum up we summit eh? {Ed007's Note - So you just made up a naff poem then? Here's a couple of new songs (they won't even get you into trouble with UEFA: 1. Penny Blockade
2. Borrow Borrow
3. The Cash My Father Owed.
4. God Pay YOur Queen.
5. Build My Ring Fence, Build It High.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007, naughty but I loved the song titles, not as good but how about to Mr Murray "The Cry was no Backhanders!"
LOL Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Or how about these for the runners up party...
1) Fail Fail
2) You'll never get in alone (European mix)
3) The goals have run dry (Samaras solo)
4) Just can't get (over) Diouf
5) ...nope, you don't have any other decent tunes {Ed007's Note - Well it's four decent tunes more than Rangers have got to be FARE.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah, the banter, the banter. I was gonna give you a wee ditti using the surnames of SPL title winners in the Celtic squad but coud'nae find a word to rhyme with none .(yea yea, person I know) Thanguverymush... I'm here till Thursday. TaTa ED off to watch the footie. It's been fun {Ed007's Note - You couldn't think of a word that rhymed with none? That is a bit sad, make sure to hold someones hand crossing the road going to the game.}

Was listening to the Radio Clyde Football Phone In tonight , i couldn't believe what i was listening to ! the usual person love in was in full swing , Hugh Keevins , Gordon Dalziel and Jim Delahun who last week were "slagging" Scottish Football for not having a club in Europe at the end of August , today they greated the news of Celtic's re-instatement by saying its a disaster for Celtic , as they are basically s**te and will get humped off Atletico Madrid , Udinese and Rennes and be an embarrassment to Scottish football and it will hand the league title to Rangers ! what are you people all about ? Rangers are facing possible liquidation over taxes , but these characters have made excuses for them , while slaughtering Celtic all week , but thats the country we live in so i shouldn't be surprised really . {Ed007's Note - Tonight is the first time in years I have listened to Clyde (sorry, but I had my reasons to tune in). Within minutes I quickly realised why I stopped listening, and then the 'brown brogues' stoater came on and I realised that nothing had or ever will change there. People need to realise that these people say things to get a reaction, that is their job, even down to the writers at the 'red tops'. If people stopped listening to these programmes and buying their papers then they would maybe raise their level of journalism and report facts rather than what sells papers or gets people to phone in. I have admitted openly that I am a WUM and enjoy winding up Rangers fans, if I do it and get them worked up it gets them posting back, that is the whole point of the site (just like a newspaper???), but if a Rangers fan comes on here and wants a sensible conversation or debate then they know they are more than welcome and will get treated with respect along with their points/topics. People are playing into people like Mr Keevins hands by constantly nit picking his statements, and basically you can't win with them. Sorry, rant over.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Sadly, Keevins, Young and Traynor get away with it every day. "Investigative Journalism" my aunt sally hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Ed007 , i usually listen to RCFFI when i'm backshift , as of today i wont be again , Hugh IM Jolly does as you say , love the sound of his own voice , is ignorant and condesending to anyone who disagrees with his opinion , Gordon Dalziel , Iain McCall , Billy Dodds and Daryl King are "Rangers men" and Jim Delahun will not hear a word against , Rangers , Ally McCoist , referees who "favour" Rangers , we really should not be encouraging these people . {Ed007's Note - If only more people could see it, CFC and Rangers fans, these jokers live off both sides paranoia yet continually condescend us all for it. They're vetting of calls is extremely questionable at times also. Keevins 'It is only my opinion' stance is is both childish and smug beyond belief, everyone is entitled to an opinion as I say enough times on here, and sensible opinions warrant respect, if you are putting yourself in the public eye then you need to expect your opinion to be questioned surely? Being controversial and then hiding behind your media 'power' is wrong and just proves the point that it is all about the ratings (and their earnings). The old pals act throughout the media is verging on nepotism IMO and it is only the advent of a new generation of younger, curious journalists that can buck the trend. The 'red tops' and their cohorts are afraid of the changes that are going on in journalism because all of their unwritten rules etc are becoming like them, extinct and well past their sell by date.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down Calm down! Your right, but I love it! I love getting wound up by what they write/speak... what would you prefer? Nothing, or some dullard talking statistics? Lighten up and enjoy the ride, you can still make up your own mind... {Ed007's Note - Personally I would prefer nothing, or if the panel would gave their true opinion rather than constantly fishing for their next caller.}

Ed, you might have already answered this several times but, what happened to the 'Baba' deal? I didn't hear anything so assume it's dead, but I didn't know if there are work permits to sort out that can be done after the deadline, as long as the paperwork for the deal has gone through. Can you shed any light mate? MB67 {Ed007's Note - It was visa/WP problems that halted the deal. CFC have first refusal on him in January and (I think) next summer. He should become eligible at some point this season to move to the UK.}

the last three year rangers can not have made it any easier for you to win the league ..yet you still failed ...who is two blame .... Lennon or your tight board ... {Ed007's Note - You could have made it easier, you could have let us win!! By your reckoning and admission CFC failed to win the league, our failure seems more important to you than Rangers success? Are you saying we were the better team but failed or Rangers were a poor team and succeeded? I can live with that, takes a big man to come on and admit it though, cheers mate. I obviously blame NL for this as it must be his fault, everything wrong in Scotland seems to be blamed on him so we might as well add that to the list.}

Hi ed,not sure but is it tonight EPL 25 man squads are announced ? There's bound to be a few decent centre halves who have been left out,so could Celtic still bring them in on loan or sign any of these,and would they be able to play in Europe ? So at least we can have a go 2nd time round ! Cheers. {Ed007's Note - Squads needed entered for today, it is possible for CFC to get loan players in when the loan window opens, but I doubt they would and they wouldn't be eligible for Europe.}

Ed007, good news about Celtic getting reinstated, although no doubt Sion will appeal. Just listened to Hugh Keevins, he was his usual happy self, instead of wishing us well as a Scottish team and helping the Scottish coefficient, he went on about first game away in madrid, Celtic will be downhearted after getting beaten and tired for old firm game on the sunday. Come on Mr Keevins lighten up.
Other point Ed007, hope the board do not try and cash in with the fans, as i said about a week ago maximum ticket price should be £20 even at that price given a crowd of say 50,000 at all 3 games gives over £3m profit on top of UEFA bonuses, so come on Mr Lawwell do NOT be greedy. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - 'At least we still have our brown brogues'.........I nearly fell off my chair!!!!}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We would not make £3m profit. We would immediately loose 20% VAT which is £0.5m. We would then have all the running costs for the game. More like making £2m. {Ed007's Note - We would still be able to add money from TV revenue, merchandising, extra sponsorship and in stadium sales of programmes, food etc.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks fur that wee tim but.......

Agree0 Disagree0

Unnamed poster, as Ed007 we would make a lot of extra revenue AFTER those deductions, remember also we get £1m just for reaching group stages and we will also get £700k for beating Sion, then if we do well in group we get money for points also. lawwell will know EXACTLY how much there is to gain Timalloy

I heard sammi is claiming all the goals from the games we were awarded against sion. Sion are appealing the decision saying samaras hasn't scored 6 goals in 2 seasons never mind the 2 legs

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You heard nothing of the sort. It was Ed replying to the Rangers fan cause he said that lawwell would write to Uefa to claim that Hooper scored them so Celtic can sell him for £29m. Did you not read it?

As a rangers fan and Scottish football fan, I'd just like to wish you all the best in the Europa League. It certainly won't be easy for you, it's a tough group, but anything that helps the Scottish coefficient is good news. Hello Ed, I believe Victor Wanyama and Kelvin Wilson should play in defence together, got 2 great right backs in Mathews and Mark wilson, the new left back is pretty decent, I think Cha would be great at right mid, dunno what do you think, he's fast, good crosser and always has a willingness to get forward, and our midfield is class don't need to say it, Hooper and Bangura up front, ... Daniel Majstorović should retire, spl players are too good for him, he's slow, dim witted, and can't head the ball properly, how many chances at corners has he fluffed ? His timing in challenges is shocking...! Hope we get a good result at the hearing today...Hail Hail :) Gaz {Ed007's Note - Anyone with Wilson is better than Majstorovic Gaz, and you have probably heard about the hearing :-)

The whole celtic team put together isn't even worth 29 million so i don't see the logic in Lawell making fun of a bid for quite clearly the best striker in scotland by a country mile!! I'm really really p@!sed off at how the club is as a whole. Lennon is inadequate as a manager and makes a fool of himself every time he speaks to the press, especially after a defeat and if lawell is leading by example with his remarks then Lennon's childish behaviour is no surprise!!

Rangers will win the league AGAIN, even though they seem weakened, as the did the last 3 seasons!! {Ed007's Note - Nonsense.}

{Ed007's Note - There is no guess, that's who it was, and the rumour about it being LFC are 100% nonsense. LFC never had any interest in player what so ever.}

maybe you can tell us all ed how you know that Liverpool had no interest and it is 100% nonsense as far as i can see you have no idea what goes on at your own club so what makes you an expert on the going ons at LFC {Ed007's Note - Who said it was LFC?? Tell them I said they are lying, just like Gordon Smith was.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You haven't answered the question Ed how can you be sure do you have inside information or is it a guess why should anyone believe you over anyone else can you prove its 100% nonsense why dont you just prove your point and make Rangers look the silly billys they are imagine the headlines Celtic Ed Exposes Rangers Over 9 Million Jelavic Bid. how satisfying would that be {Ed007's Note - I can guarantee you that LFC never had any interest what so ever in Jelavic, how I know this is of no concern, phone the 'red tops' lol I would have no concern over that. It came from the same person who told me about CA going to LFC and kept me up to date on the Bellamy situation since he started negotiating his move there last week. The same person also told me about Nasri going to City, if you look back through the Arsenal and Man Utd archives you will see that English Eds and myself knew about Nasris medical for them long before even the much glorified SSN carried the story.}

The sun has said it was Liverpool but we all know they lie through their teeth unless its something positive about Celtic they write then its the god given truth {Ed007's Note - The S*n and LFC? If you knew the history between the two of them it is glaringly obvious that there is NO CHANCE of them having any insight into LFC what so ever.}

I was just having a wee look at Morten rassmusen's record starting from early 2010 when we took interest in him in total he has been at 4 clubs since 2010 brondby,Celtic,mainz and Aab then back to us Quite alot of moving around for a young guy not much settling in time at any club and still managed an average of a goal every second game played 66 and scored 30 he also scores quite important goals for the teams including Celtic to beay hibs 3-2 and 6 goals in 5 games for aab I think this guy should be at least getting a sniff instead of samaras and I for one would be a very unhappy Celtic fan If he was to move without getting a chance. 3 goals in 10 for Celtic mostly sub appearances end up with hearts or hibs and coming back to bite us in the arse !! Chrissybhoy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One other point to pick out mate promise you its not a dig cos i do see somthing in the Boyd mould with him, but he has also been kicked out or dropped by EVERY club since moving to celtic , clearly something must be goin on with him behind the scenes and with that record no one seems like touching him either you need to also think of these things.

ps ed the other problem here is the SFA.... they are BIG time jobbybags when it comes to standing up to UEFA they bend over whatever way EFA ttells them and take their medicine every time. The example of hearts having to play at murrayfield summed it up for me .... when you you look at some of the middens the old firm have played at over the years its clear that not all countries suck up uefa rectal pipe the way SFA do.

Its a real shame the way football is developing!

"They" came on September 1 dear
To Take away our gold

It makes your blood run cold

Oh Taxmen you break our backs

Ed007, read in Evening Times that Sion President, may take UEFA to a civil court and get group stages suspended. I was of the opinion that if a club went to court UEFA would throw them out, what is the position regarding court cases and clubs, give us your best guess, thanks Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Sion have already broken the UEFA/FIFA stature that forbids taking the governing bodies to court. I honestly don't know what will happen but I can't see how UEFA can not expel them as they had been told before hand that the players were ineligible. It will be interesting to see the outcome.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers Ed007, as you say lets see if they follow their own rules. hail hail timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed/Tim, gers man here but just passing on info that iv heard. Iv heard they will be thrown out of europe next year ?!

We all know that this clown Sion chairman is a nutter, he has taken uefa to court umpteen times ... but has never lost a case ! Mix that with the fact that they are also based in Switzerland means they have a good chance of being favoured. Face it Gers and celts just dont aint of the same influence in world football as we once were.... uefa doesnt care bout us at all.. Now i aint gonna lie i dont have much sympathy with you as i feel if u deserved to go thro you would have won. But this should never have even gotten this far the second they were on the team sheet the team should have been thrown out .... the thing is that its UEFA tournie, they make the rules and can change them at any time so they do have the power to do this but choose not to .... why?! i feel we will never find out!

Germinator {Ed007's Note - I heard that as well but it seems to have been dismissed in some quarters. The point is though that they DID field players that they knew would bring consequences for them. If they are not expelled it brings the whole integrity of the game as a whole into doubt. Rangers fans were banned from a European match for their singing and warned the club could be banned, yet coloured players have to put up with racist chants and abuse all over the continent every year, it smacks of double standards when you look at it with out the parochialism and 'point scoring' of Scottish football in the mix. No matter what the outcome, I think it could get very messy in the next few days etc. If Sion are not expelled, what is to stop CFC claiming damages from Sion/UEFA over loss of revenue through the courts? UEFA have said the players were ineligible and CFC believed them. If Sion are not expelled then it sets a precedent that the rule forbidding court action against the governing bodies is null and void, allowing any club to freely take them to court over anything that doesn't suit their club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ed, all this "who gives a f**k about wee teams is gonna come back big time at some point. Do we really think that UEFA is fair lol one look at the champions league setup show you just what EUFA want. Has there been a team kicked out of europe over this and another team re-instated? ps i wonder if Barca would have the same problems if such a thing happened to them ..... the thing is ed i bet u laughed to yourself the same way i just did there! {Ed007's Note - UEFAs love affair with Barca sickens me.}

Got to love the Rangers fans on this site telling The Celtic fans to go onto your own site ( look at the top of this page ) I maybe wrong but I'm sure there is a Celtic badge there . Also calling Mr Lawwell , Liewell when your own chairman Mr Craig (Ally will have £15 mil to spend over the summer) Whyte has done nothing but lie to the rangers fans since he took over . Hi Ed good morning just been reading about Loan window opening next week. Is that for everyone or just England ? There was not much detail just talking about Man Utd loaning a couple out . If for everyone might be good chance to get centre back on loan once PL have named there squads what do you think ? {Ed007's Note - It is possible.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Is it not just lower league teams that can get loans in outside transfer window ed {Ed007's note - You can loan players to a team from another association. The EPL allows players to go out on loan to lower league teams (as well as Scotland, Wales and NI). When the EPL window closes it closes on any player coming in, not going out.}

But that is the thing wee wont die wee will be fine and ano what yous are gonna say go back to your own page and worry about your team because of hmrc but just want to come on and say something wee are gonna win the title this year if wee have won it the last 3 years a don't see why wee wont do it again so enjoy being second best again

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers die it would have some knock on effect to Celtic. But in the long term I think it would good for Scottish football as the other clubs will see a better chance of winning something (even with the best will in the world Celtic could not win everything all the time) and this would bring fans back to the game. Not saying Rangers will die but it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they did.

Word is filtering through that Sion will be heavily fined but will keep their place in the group stages. Additional sanctions may happen as well. TBC.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Thats amazing considering a decision hasn't yet been made.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets be honest with ourselves here. We were not good enough over two legs and don't deserve to get back in. The club should stop this trying to get in the back door and concentrate on a domestic treble.

Agree0 Disagree0

If sion win there case celtic should be able to sue due to lost finances . If Sion are found guilty and only fined the rules have been breached and the only loser's will be celtic . and i for one agree that we lost over 2 legs but the male who scored the 2 goal was not supposed to be registered and without him and the other 4 players they would have been a weaker team which would have giving celtic a better chance of winning.

If FIFA only fine them they would lose credability as both blatter and plattini have stated that sion should be put out and all transfer blocks will have to stop as the mean nothing , every team can just bye players and just take FIFA to court.

what do you think ED. {Ed001's Note - FIFA and UEFA have to act strongly to deter others, fielding an ineligible player usually means expulsion and the knocked out team reinstated.}

Agree0 Disagree0

My opinion is that UEFA will do as they always do. Bend to the will of the most powerful forces acting upon it. They have disregarded rules before when it is politically advantageous. It is extremely likely they will find some middle ground for themselves whilst dropping Celtic in the poo. We are not a mighty football nation and we have no leverage politically. I do not expect to see my beloved Hoops reinstated. I am hoping and will be delighted if we are but my head says no. Just a quick word about comments regarding how we were beaten by the better team and should accept our fate and other such comment which to my mind is nonsense. No 1 We were very unlucky. No2 the referees gave us nothing. The first leg particularly was disgraceful and we all seem to have forgotten this in our new sense of European brotherhood. No 3 Effectively they have cheated by breaking a clear rule. Further they have flaunted the rules gone to their own courts (again another contravention) and are arrogantly goading Uefa and to a lesser extent FIFA. Could you imagine how this would have been received had Celtic tried to do the same thing. The whole thong stinks of vested interests, possible dodgy dealings and probably much worse besides. I am ever hopeful but fear a bad outcome and even worse the board and Mr Lawwell will just have to suck it up as if we fall out with the powers that be we will get even less favourable treatment than we get presently. We are probably on a par with Albania as regards influence in the corridors of power on the other hand the Swiss are running the show.

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazing....now just the appeals to deal with...I wonder how that will go...:)
