I sometimes think it gets overlooked about how good the Celtic performance was against Inter Milan in the 1967 European cup final.
The Lisbon Lions had an incredible 42 shots at goal on the day against a club who had won the European cup I think twice in the previous 3 years.
To put how impressive that statistic was into perspective,
The greatest final ever was at Hampden Park in 1960 when Real Madrid won 7-3 against E. Frankfurt and there was only 42 shots at goal between both clubs.
The Germans were also a decent side having beaten Rangers 12-4 on aggregate on their route to the final.

Mr Grumpy is back on to give his criticism as usual.
Never once has commonsense gave positive feedback about anything to do about our club which is very suspicious.
My point is the score line doesn’t reflect how dominant Celtic were in Lisbon compared to the Real Madrid result.
It’s okay I will put commonsense back into the water. 🐟 😂.

I don’t think their 2 players have been in contact with the rest of the squad and therefore Sevco will be okay to play their next game.
The Police only caught them at 1.30 this morning at a house party and they issued them with fines.
The club have suspended the 2 players and they will now have to isolate for 14 days.
It would’ve been a different story if the players went into training after breaking the rules.
They’ve got away with one again.

Thought the two game suspension was a punishment, because professional footballers had been given a special dispensation, to allow the professional game to continue, the players were meant to just exist in a bubble as it were, it wasn't a quarantine as such.

It was Scott Arfield's birthday yesterday so may be some truth in the rumour. The Scottish government will have access to the police records and if Scott Arfield was there, then this could get very nasty for Sevco as they have not declared it.

Is it just me. Why is it everytime Nir Bitton plays an ex player or pundit will say he's not playing in his natural position. For me he's now a class defender as shown playing for his club and country. They don't say anything about Ajer when he's playing.

Bitton is a tremendous player in possession he's immense and his passing is usually right on the money lacks a bit physically but tgats what Duffy was brought in for.

I remember Tom McAdam was a centre forward when bought by Big Jock but made his name as a Centre Back, playing alongside Roy Aitken another 'Jack-of-all-trades' in the Hoops. George Connelly could play literally any position and there was Big Shughie Edvaldsson; another versatile player. More recently Chris Sutton could do a decent shift up front or at CB. Good footballers can always adapt.

There’s been half a dozen clubs who’ve achieved 4 doubles in a row including Juventus recently.
Lincoln Red Imps hold the record of 8 doubles in a row from 2004 to 2011.
Celtic will overtake Rangers 19-18 in doubles if we manage to overcome Hearts.

There must be a reason why Turnbull is so far down the pecking order. His one start he was poor, as were the whole team. He will have to be patient and keep working hard and then take his chance when it comes. I think a nice home banker would be a good time to throw him in. Bit of a wait for that though!
