What do you mean ruining? Its already ruined!

The players were dead on there feet on Sunday.
NL needs to use his full squad I would play the following team over the next 2 games

Bain / Gordon

El Hamend Julien Bitton

Frimpong Ntcham Christie Bolingoli

Rogic
Kilmala Bayo

I know these are big changes but the we should target 4 points from these games and prepare for the game at castle greyscull.

Can't see NL making wholesale changes for the difficult trip to Livi especially while we are on a long domestic winning run. With so many games since the turn of the year, there will be horses for courses.
Think it would be more likely to rest a good few for the home match v St Mirren, assuming everyone is fit?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 20:25:27
You're right Jonace 7 points from our next 3 games guarantees to keep the points difference the same, if 3 of those points are won at Greyskull we're guaranteed to extend our lead.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 21:33:30
Strongest team in next 2 games is a must then we have 8days to prepare for Ibrox. we don't want to give them a sniff before we meet them and worst case scenario it's 6 points gap.

02 Mar 2020 21:37:56
Going to Livingston a venue were we often struggle we need our strongest eleven, this is not the time to tinker with the team. I have said in a previous post that in my opinion this is the hardest away fixture we have before the split.

02 Mar 2020 22:00:58
Target 4 points. Not a chance. Our target should be full points between now and the end of the season.

02 Mar 2020 22:04:33
Stop it Jonace๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Thankfully your not the manager cos you'd get bagged for picking that team, Klimala and Bayo are single fish๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Strongest 11 everytime!

02 Mar 2020 22:14:36
Tinkering with the main 11 at this stage is absolutely crazy, 1 or 2 changes of course, 5 or 6 is ridiculous!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 23:18:04
What are u on Jonace? We need full points so why play half a team of squad players who are not good enough to start? Klimala and Bayo up front, on what basis?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 23:37:22
I don't mean to be pedantic, but isn't Castle Greyskull the home of the good guys. Surely Snake Mountain is a better analogy?

Sh*tty weather, sh*tty surface which resulted in nervous victory, which I'll always take as history always remembers the victor's.

Can I throw this in Ed, if not obviously don't post. Do you think taking into account our obvious defensive weaknesses which have need to be sorted for a few seasons that Lennon is the one to get us to 10.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Don't we have the best defence & defensive record in Scotland?}

02 Mar 2020 17:49:01
I think on their day (and I include Simunovic) , we have three very good central defenders - including two exceptional footballers in Jullien and Ajer, who are only 24, 25 and 21 respectively.
Simunovic's consistency possibly suffers due to his injury problems and it would probably be wise to seek a fitter replacement?
I know they have all had occasional lapses in concentration, which have cost us goals, but over the piece Ajer and Jullien especially have combined to win us many-a-game, score goals and earn points.
If El Hamed wasn't so brittle, he may have made us more solid?

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 18:08:08
Cheers Ed. Yeah the stat's don't lie it's just that I personally still think it's a problem area and when the opposition get to attack the defence I'm never confident although this opinion does contradict the stat'.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We need to get the RB position sorted, Frimpong is suspect defensively but he'll learn and Elhamed is looking like another Rogic/Simunovic and Ajer is never a RB.}

02 Mar 2020 19:00:09
I think frimpong would be better played as a winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 19:26:34
Frimpong I think will develop into a great player, well hopefully but his stature for a defender is suspect.

I do think he's a natural winger with great defensive qualities but I don't think he's an out and out defender.

However, history will no doubt prove wrong as I'm useless at judging player's having never really played the game after school.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If Elhamed can get fit and stay fit - if not he needs replaced in the summer - then if we play 4 at the back he should be the starting RB but if we go 3 at the back Frimpong would (could be turned into be a good wing-back) but that then takes Forrest out the team who to be fair is never a wing-back.
Frimpong's not long turned 19 and he has clearly surpassed any expectations of him this season but there's no reason why if it's handled properly he would spit the dummy out if he found himself on the bench or not involved.}

ED007 is there any truth in these rumours that French Eddie going to sign a new contract but will be allowed to leave in 2021.
I know it's only a rumour but several sites carrying it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Celtic have been trying to get Edouard to sign a new contract for a while now but as far as I know there hasn't been any talks since around Christmas.}

OK all the punters on here, with Cheltenham beginning Tuesday week I have put up 3 decent priced anti post each way horses on the Football Rumours Bets page.
I hope some of you will get involved next week and post your own tips.
Happy Punting.

Just looking from start of the year to the rangers game next that's will be 14 games played domestically wuth 10 games being away, to be on the run we are with so many away games is brilliant i will take scrappy wins away and games with not the greatest football being played once we get the win, teams relish us going to there ground to have a go at the mighty celtic and try and stop the run, they will up there game and some have the best games of the careers against us, so a scrappy battled win will do for me! Keep it going bhoys! Nothings stopping us!

Anno it evens it's self out but how do u end up playing that many away. It's been a busy schedule since the break and we still get punters moaning about slight dips in form even tho we grind out result after result.1 defeat this year is incredible consistency.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 14:48:52
I can't see it even itself out through out the year as after the split if it was done correctly we would have all our games at home as we have played all five other teams away 2 times as it stands.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Mar 2020 16:10:49
So the split is a farce no way this should happen if it penalises any club in this case ours.

It was a shocking tackle and JF was lucky not to be seriously injured and the yellow card was lenient to say the least. Madden had a decent game but that was a real honest mistake.

Celtic still have a title to win. We have 3 away grounds to visit before the split that we struggled at recently.
In the last 18 months we have visited those grounds 8 times combined in the league and won once. Celtic have also failed to score a goal in 6 of those games.
I am expecting a big improvement which will hopefully start at Livingston on Wednesday.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 Mar 2020 09:43:17
Since the break we have already won at five other away grounds - (eight if you count three cup ties) domestically and although these coming fixtures will be very tough, it's also possible Sevco could drop even more points along the way and change the scenario again?
I'm also confident our experience and mental strength will prevail.

Another game towards a record. Still annoyed about the euro result and thought we had a real chance of progessing. But credit to the team, these records are not easy and just shows the mentality we have when it counts.
