Dedryck Boyata our new central defender signed from top club Man City. Richard Wilson on BBC radio tonight - There must be something not right about this, he's not played many games for them, has he had injuries blah blah. Nothing positive to say about a player Ronnie rates and has big plans for. Celtic pay good money considering our place in the money market, no recognition, no talking up. such blatant jealousy of the Champions.

He looked as though he'd just chewed a wasp.
All you seem to hear and read at the moment is the mouthpieces for Sevco, droning on about how their fans deserve better, and what a difficult time they're having.
Their sympathy should be directed at the fans of every other club, who had to endure seeing the old Rangers lie and cheat their way to league titles and cups over the last few years.
If Sevco didn't come back for another 10 years, it would still be too soon, in my opinion

Now that season tickets have to be sold expect many good news stories about Sevco. The fact that they never materialise doesn't matter .

ED007 have Celtic announced who they are releasing yet? I assume all the loan players like Guidetti, Denayer, Wakaso and Tonev have already left but do you know if any decision has been made on Pukki, Balde, Fridjonsen etc.

We do u know who is showing an interst in VVD? And how much we are looking for? I just can't see him being here much longer!

{Ed007's Note - Arsenal, Man Utd, Southampton and Sunderland have all shown interest in van Dijk but he would be used as a back up at Utd so he that's ruled out and I'd say the Sunderland interest was Advocaat related. I've no idea exactly how much we are looking for, sorry.}

I wonder why Deila keeps saying that Virgil will be at Celtic until after the qualifiers at the very earliest. Is Deila trying to make a fool of himself or does he have no notion of our transfer plans .

Chris I don't think Deila will have no say in it if Pedro gets the price that is in his head he will be gone I just hope in that case RD gets ALL the money to invest in the squad If it is to be Sunderland or Southampton we may well keep him until after the Qualifiers as they are not in the CL although not sure about Southampton did they Qualify for Europe?

Ed soz have to wholeheartedly disagree with you on the "back up" for Man Utd. Back up for who? Phil Jones? Anyone who is back up to him will play more games than him lol. I have been saying to anyone that listens to me (I know prob no one) that VVD is defo top 4 material.Here is a list of "top defenders" in premier league.
Jones - Injury prone.
Smalling - Bombscare and easily pushed off the ball.
Evans - How does he even get a game.
Demichellis - Slow and past his best.
Mertesacker- A giant who can't win a header and slow as can be.
Chambers- can't get in team due to Mertesacker Nuff said.
Skrtl- Only interested in fouling players at set pieces a total liability when found out.
Lovren- Struggling to find form.
Mangala - a beast but is struggling to.
Sakho- Impatient and erratic, gives the ball away for fun.
Now I not saying VVD is the next best thing but he is a better player than this lot. AND he scores goals.
I purposely left out the Chelsea mob ed as they are a great unit. So for me its not necessarily how good VVD is but how good the set up he goes into and the partner he gets.Kompany is the only outstandin defender in that league and even he was poor last year by his standards.But would be perfect for denayer given the chance.Remember Rio (who I rated) struggled with Man U early on till Vidic came along. So its all about opinions and maybe your right but I sincerely hope VVD proves them all wrong because I not seen a better all round defender for Celtic in a long long time.

No probs ed just had to get my bit in. As I said he quality and after reading and listening to top pundits saying he not ready just makes me laff.
