Not that it really matters to us but I see Tony Watt's attitude is being questioned yet again. Between him and Feruz we had 2 potentially outstanding players who couldn't get their heads out of their own arses and have taken exactly the same attitude with every club they've gone to since leaving. Shame really but hey ho there you go. HH.

When we talk about why there are no great talent coming thro in Scotland and we blame the coaches, playstation era, weather, facilities etc we only have to look at these 2.
This is the main reason.

Where has that Skinnybhoy gone? I thought he would have been flooding us with rumors by now, Day 2 and all quiet.

I'm waiting for Hoops88 to make an appearance with his reliable sources.

Maybe Ed007 could give us any info he might have on new signings. Do you still expect James McCarthy to sign Ed?

{Ed007's Note - I never said I expected McCarthy to sign.}

missing the transfer mince maself lads, so im going to start one, i heard thru a reliable source ( guy that sells two fur a pound socks in paisley) that we are on the verge of signing mark wright from towie as cover for left back, although were getting him on a free it severely depletes our budget as it means we have to double the intake of fake tan and teeth whitener, were also looking at steve evans as fitness coach and iain dowie as the face of celtic.

Love the term "transfer mince" lol! Been waiting for a "reliable source" who drinks with Yaya Toure's uncle's mate to tell us he's up for a medical and it's a done deal!

And henrik wasnt either when he was 19. Give him a few year in holland (sound familiar) and he might just get to the standard required.

Would never say never anyway.

Hoopy new year to you all bhoys! Who do you think we will be bringing in this month? Don't think we need anyone domestically but bringing them in now with champions league qualifiers in mind makes so much more sense. Hope you all had a good one. 🍀.

I'd like to sign paddy Roberts permanently but with only €8Mill to spend it's unlikely to happen.

I read that Rodgers will have £6 million to spend, but will he not also get the sell on fee from any sale of van Dykk? If so, I really agree and hope he does make Roberts a permanent signing.

One position I think we should look at is the right wing. I think James Forrest did well early doors and won his new deal but I haven't been impressed with him for a while now. For me it was evident that all our best play went down the left through Sinclair and we need another good option on the right. I also felt that Lustig was badly exposed against Barrie Mackay (also not helped by Forrest) on Saturday to the point where I would have put Gamboa on instead because Lustig doesn't have the pace and had to put the foot in every time and got booked whereas Gamboa could have matched the run without diving in.

That would be the priority position for me too. I can't complain with results but still a bit surprised Forrest has been preferred to Roberts.

I think it's probably due to Roberts not really fitting the bill in terms of the high press and work rate but there's no doubt he's a real class act and I'd prefer him in the team. There's also the fact that he'll be away come the summer.

Think you're right there, Forrest does look like the stronger runner. Can't see us making a move for Roberts permanently now, he'd be quite an expensive super-sub. Not saying he wouldn't be worth it though.

My mate was telling me that some members of the GB took photos of the toilets at Ibrokes before and after the game on Saturday so that there could be no claims that they were damaged by visiting supporters.
Well done GB.

Happy New Year all
I haven't posted for a while but I'd like to give Stuart Armstrong a special mention. I have to hold my hands up and say I got it wrong on this lad. I didn't think he was good enough to wear the hoops but it's with huge credit to the boy and the gaffer how he's turned things around. He has been immense the last couple of months. I'm not sure his contract situation but I hope we get him tied up on a long term deal.

I always liked Armstrong and thought he was a real prospect, but I totally agree he has taken it to another level - I was just saying to my brother that he has been MOM or very close to it for about the past ten games that I've seen him. Brilliant player and a real contender for player of the year in my opinion. Along with Brown, Sinclair, Dembele, Sviatchenko, Rogic - and I'm not even being biased!

Can tell he's really worked on parts of his game and got there through his own hard work. A lot can be said for other players this year (Brown, Forrest, Lustig, Gordon etc) all players who most fans would liked to have seen be replaced at end of last season. Credit to Rodgers, his man management skill and attention to detail have really improved the squad.

Agree0 Disagree1

I fairness to Armstrong it was RDs insistence on playing him wide left caused a lot of his problems always thought he was good player.
