ED007 or anyone on here who has hired an executive box or had a meal at Celtic Park, can I ask your opinion.
You will not believe this, but bigot in a suit has offered Mrs T, the girls and I an executive box and a meal at any home game, EXCEPT Sevco game (he has contacts because of his various business interests so has access to these freebies) I think he has also been shamed into it by a) his wife who is a friend of Mrs T and b) my ex bear pals who were so helpful to us during Mrs T's illness.
Anyway advice please on standard of the food please, would Mrs T like eating at Celtic Park and also, as Mrs T is not a football fan, do these executive suites have access to a television for her to watch during the game. I think she will only go if she can see a televsion, women! what can I say? lol

went for a meal match hosp here once myself - was supposed to take clients but took my Dad-in-law (rip) and he loved it.

its quite blokey - she wouldn't feel uncomfortable - but you get fed and lots of beer and a great seat for the game.

when you come in at half time, a pie and pint is waiting for you.

it was fab, £300 ahead - but money well spent,

if she doesn't want to go I will, I'll even wear a dress, call 0800 555 555

It's obviously more suited to football (Celtic) orientated guests but if your wife's anything like mine - who also has no interest - she might just appreciate the fact it's a special treat, out with family and being looked after for the day?
You can always add to the day along the way with other wee surprises - naw I didnae mean that!

Well in bigot in the suit. Nice gesture.

Ive only ever attended hospitality at cappielow. Tennents out a can instead of pints but decent munch.

Thanks for all the comments I will show them to Mrs T.
Yes it WAS a nice gesture by Mr Suit, I slag him for his views sometime but he sometimes surprises you like this gesture to cheer up Mrs T, so a shout out to him, THANKS.
On an entirely different note, ha ha even when I simply ask a wee question EIGHT people disagree, but thanks for reading anyway lol

Anybody else think Jurgen the messiah Klopp is getting more and more embarrassing with his touchline antics but as long as he gives the media the smile everything's fine

02 Feb 2017 16:11:45
I think he's a great coach. The league cup aside he isn't in a bad position really. He could do with a top drawer centre half and perhaps not trying to play at 100mph all the time. As for the man, I find him entertaining to be honest. Although I don't know what incident you're referring to.

Agree5 Disagree0

02 Feb 2017 16:30:36
Jim they're out the fa cup and the league cup and u wouldn't put money on them winning the league, the game against Chelsea he's flipping out at the 4th official and he's had previous

02 Feb 2017 15:11:39
I thought it was class last week when Brendan defended klopps recent record! Total class act of a guy honestly! All the pelters he's took from ex Liverpool players and the media in general down there and he still acts with total dignity! Couldn't wish for a better guy to manage our club by the way HH

02 Feb 2017 16:44:08
Aye my bad, I even sseen the Wolves game 😶

Well there are other managers who aren't top of the league. I didn't have him down as winning the league in his first season so wouldn't criticise him there. Ok he could still have them in the cups but cup football can be like that just by it's nature. We've been knocked out by some poor sides over the years. I can't really condole remonstrating with officials but again, I'm struggling to really think of a top manager who hasn't off the top of my head (Rodgers, lol? ) .

02 Feb 2017 16:45:35
Agree with that BR class act

02 Feb 2017 17:03:29
BR got pelters for nearly winning the league but Klopp gets away with it I don't get it, surely the Liverpool fans were expecting a trophy this year and making a fist of the league Chelsea are a stick on and even spurs sitting second

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Feb 2017 18:13:52
Well he didn't get pelters off me. I'll probably just leave this for a Liverpool fan, I have no idea if they were expecting a trophy this year. I'd back Klopp in time to deliver silverware. It's pretty tight amongst the chasing pack.

We finally have a manager befitting our great club who acts with class and dignity and who is only up here because it's Celtic. Everything I've seen and heard from the man is a breath of fresh air and he also happens to be a very good football coach.

He has and will make mistakes again but I think we all should savour the time he is here, there is a totally different feel at games now and most of it is down to him

Klopps a bit wild but ain't no denying he's a great manager. Forget winnin it no1 thought Liverpool would be anywhere near it this year. N what he done at dortmund was not too shabby. But he ain't brendan HH

I like Klopp as a person. Seems very approachable n friendly. However anyone remember his last season or so at Dortmund? Nearly relegated. I am biased. can't stand Liverpool! HH.

Don't know why we all seem to be fascinated with how Klopp and Liverpool are doing it takes time to build a good team will prob get shot down for this but RD laid some good foundations for BR to build on!

I obviously think Brendan is a better manager than Ronny but I thought Ronny showed real class and dignity when dealing with severe provocation from msm . On an entirely different subject any idea how old bhoy ( Chris) is getting on ed?

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Feb 2017 10:25:18
Why would they not be near it, al bet most Liverpool fans expected them to be close, the fact they spent a few quid and as u say he's supposed to be a great manager. and at this point it looks like another barren season

Now Mrs T is almost back to her good self (witnessed by her regular tongue lashings she gives me lol) the girls and I are able to attend home games again without worrying.
I enjoyed last night's game because we were 4 first team regulars down yet still outplayed Aberdeen, would it not be delicious to win title at Celtic Park on 12th March or even more delicious winning title the week before and they having to clap us on to the park.
PS don't worry I have thought this through, the away toilets will be housed in temporary BOUNCY CASTLES lol

Enjoyed the game last night, couple of points for me:

Who is this guy boyata we have signed in Jan?
Great movement last night, when Rogic is back we will move up another level he has great vision.

Liam Henderson has a great tough and range of passing.
Solid shifts from the midfield, bitton looking much more direct and confident the last two games.

My concerns:
When PR goes back to city we will lose a serious quality player, forest has done well this year, but doesn't have the same ability to change a game week in week out. For me this position is a future concern.

If moussa goes, and if we receive s £40 mill bid i think we should take it, then we are seriously light up top.

Craig Gordon was untroubled last night, what he did do he did well, I can't help but panic when he has the bell at his feet under pressure.

Teams who press us high up the park seem to have the most success, but so far the back line have coped well.

Great times to be a tim

Hail hail

Agree that Belgian CB we signed in Jan is getting better every game, i hope its no fluke, very impressed with LH when he came on as well, GMS looked lost, hasn't got that raw pace which makes him vulnerable. I'm not getting worried about what if players depart anymore, as long as BR is in charge im optimistic if any of our players go they will do so for the right fee, and that potential successors will already be targeted and agents contacted, and finally just a big shout out to Scott Brown, he plays host socks off every match, his touch, pass, turn and vision are remarkable, joy to have in our team

We won't receive 40m for dembele and even if we did we would be luck to see 10m invested while the rest goes to the brass at the top like it always does. As far as I'm concerned it will be a lose, lose scenario for us when he leaves.
As for Forrest, I don't buy into this "improvement" tag. He looked good for the first month or 2 of the season and has down nowt for me since. (1 good game in 6 is not good enough and good is as good as you will get with him. never very good. With us missing out on the Nigerian lad and Roberts 99% certain to return south I have serious concerns about that position as well. We should have done more to improve that area when we had the chance in January.
As for Boyata, if he keeps up this form we could save some money on buying another CB in the summer. Looking like the player that had all the potential a few years ago.
We are still short on quite a few positions for me.
We will need a new GK, LB (I fizzy leaves) , probably 2 wingers and someone to rival rogic. If we can keep dembele and Griffiths gets his finger out I don't see the need for another striker.
On another note, I would like to see young ralston and aithcison given some game time between now and end of the season even if it's just for lags 15/ 20mins of games that have already been won.

Agree1 Disagree3

02 Feb 2017 08:35:34
Agreed but for 1 point if dembele was sold for 40m we would still only spend 10m max in summer so team would be weakened so keep him for at least another year.

His proformances are still hit and miss so it would be good for him and us.

Agree1 Disagree2

02 Feb 2017 09:29:27
Forrest has been ineffective for weeks - as most of us expected the new improved model was short lived.
He needs to be dropped, but when we play with two wingers our wide options are limited so we will have to wait for a striker to get back fit.
Roberts would be a dream signing, but I think it is a dream as I can't see him leaving City - even though he will not get a start and may well end up like Denayer - out and about.
Dembele has obviously been carrying an injury as his form has been very patchy for a while and I really hope he regains those £40m performances - and we haven't missed the chance to cash-in at top price? Personally I would not have minded that kind of deal for a player we had for only six months and was not a king-pin like Tierney.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Feb 2017 12:05:26
Totally agree about forrest been saying it for a while now just has no end product he's scared to take his man on an always cutting inside. Hides behind players an not showing for the ball. Would love roberts to sign but if not we need another player in the mould of sinclair. What a player he is for us and everything down the left is a real threat for us.

@Belfast Celt £10m investment would go a long way. Don't understand why you think team would be weakened. Obviously it's a matter of time before Dembele does go and he is going to need replacing

Aberdeen have killie and motherwell . I think motherwell are due a wee result of some kind. Fingers crossed skippys appeal takes him to a 1 match ban minimum. Ajer puts in a motm and old boyd misshits a pass into sheep's net :) . Sevco are in meltdown after that loss. Pick your forum, your friend or the screams from your next door neighbours house tonight or the leaks of the boardroom tearing strips off of mw during the week and you will have all the persuasion you need that they are on the rocks. I don't see thier bottle holding.
We might not get the chance to win it at parkhead. Sevco might be our first title party visitors.
