Right ok, raff let's be honest all the Celtic players score against diddy teams and we think there great. So why is it any different when Russell does it. As for k1967, check out tony watts stats and you will find a very average record. Now I hope he does become a great player for us but let's be real, even stokes is well ahead of him. Having both GMS and JR with TW at parkhead with our coaching staff would gives us a fantastic future strike force that would also help our national team.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I think the McKay Steven thing should be put to bed for a while. He looked today like your typical winger, couple of good moments but fell away badly, better than Forrest? Russell should be a cert for us in the summer, fast and brave he will get better in a better team. . . green jhedi

Two Scottish QCs sit on a tribunal and find Rangers not guilty of most EBTs. Now we have five Scottish QCs dealing with illegal registration of players. Three on tribunal (one a judge but still QC) one for defence and one for prosecution. A little gentlemans club who own interpreting the law in Scotland.
Why does the SPL even need such senior judicial figures? Why can't they simply deal with this themselves? Would they have such expensive high court judges for Ross county?

Well fellow bhoys it just goes to show that Scottish football relies on the old firm. Rovers are 50quid & 60quid for full hospitality and are charging 105quid as it is celtic. They have booked directors owned satellite venues for catering so they are full and booked to the hilt with us spending money in kirkcaldy all day. that's them sorted for years due to us charity bonus being in town. 5-0, well done Jackie and wee Sid. beginning.

Had a bet Russell to score first goal utd to win 4-0 and the scorecast, howcome there was no time added on at the end, should have been at least three mins

Believable5 Unbelievable0

You should have got advice from shammy. check earlier posts. the man got it spot on. H.

Agree3 Disagree0

I had 3-0 so it suited me buddy but I was thinking the exact same thing. Normally get the basic 3 mins but there was also a few times players were down and then the 2 red cards.

There's only 1 possible reason he stopped it at 90 mins and 45 seconds and you know what it was.

Usual shi*e, making sure the zombies don't get an even bigger embarrassment with 9 men left on the park.

It's things like that which make you realise your not paranoid. It's the refs job to play the full added time. It's not amateur football, he can't just decide I'm stopping this because he feels like it. There's rules to abide.

Agree6 Disagree0

Yet more paranoia and look another claim to a winning bet after the result. why not post before the result?

Lets not get too excited about a Scottish Cup result today. Bottom line - An SPL team beat a 3rd Div team comprehensively to progress into the next round as you would expect. No giant-killing performance by the wee team.

TinyTim

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Except Tiny Tim this is no ordinary 3rd Div team, their wage bill is far higher than Dundee Utd's

This is their Manager's 2nd full season in charge, previous to that he was 6 years assistant to Walter Smith. This was Jackie McNamara's first game in-charge after a couple of days in the post, previous to that he has had less than two years at Partick Thistle ~ Mrs E

If ever you needed evidence the sfa are helping the deady bears by allowing top flight refs to officiate them in the lowest tier of Scottish football it was there for all to see today imo. Hammer throwers that are protected in division 3, top amateur teams would run riot in that league. Lee Wallace called into the Scotland squad all these great youngsters learning there trade in div 3 & how great they are going to be in the future? In the words of Jim royal " my ar*e"! AbS {Ed007's Note - This so called 'young team' is another myth being peddled in desperation Abs, against DU today their ages were:
Defence: Avg. age 27,
Midfield: Avg. age 25,
Strikers: Avg. age 28.
Overall team Avg. age 26.5.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Spot on 007, I maybe wrong but I believe until zaluska has been between the sticks our average age has been lower all season. I also have coached dozens of lads in recent years who had been offered terms with clubs in division 2 & division 3 of scotland, 95% knocked it back & went juniour on terms in some cases ten times what they were offered by div 2 - div 3. It really cracks me up reading the drivel written by the press about the tribute act & the standard they play in & the level of player they have. Clueless! AbS

Agree2 Disagree0

@AbS; Would you go and play for a part time team for say £40 a week or go junior for £60-80 plus your full time job wages? Scottish football has for years had to many Blazers and hanger ons attached. . . green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree3

My advice was always play at the highest level put yourself in the shop window so to speak & hopefully go on to bigger & better things. But when a player looks at it money talks GJ break a leg unable to do his day job it's obvious the guys take the couple of hundred a week rather than 20-50 pounds. Makes sense obviously but then again money isn't everything I say, but was told by a young pup 20 years my jnr it, s the only thing boss? AbS

Can we now put to bed this rubbish being spouted by Lee Mc Culloch and other Rangers players that there is no difference in class between SPL and div 3. Also thought Lee Wallace was very slow at the back and was skinned by Russell a few times. That is why he shouldn't be near a Scotland jersey till he is playing at a higher standard more regularly.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Wonder if they know that you have to score to win and not by getting as many cards as possible. Showing what they are all about if we can't win we will hurt the players, black suns them up as he walks off. And they say the div3 is shocking tackles, I didn't no a tackle is done by jumping on someone's back and arm around the neck to make a tackle, shocking to say the least.

Just heard a The rangers fan on the radio giving his thoughts on the boycott. It would seem that, according to him, that he can see the point of not giving Utd cash through a shared gate but he wanted to see the match. Fair enough. One problem though, it would seem Utd fans have turned out to balance the gate so the crowd is around the same as the last three rangers visits, result, no money lost! The fan of The rangers also said he would be happy with a draw to take them back to a "packed ibrox". Problem there is that a "packed ibrox" would give Utd 50% of a 46k gate, much more than they would earn today. So the logical thing to do would be, take your full allocation and try and knock them out. What a silly half assed shambles this boycott is. . . green jhedi

Believable14 Unbelievable0

I suppose there will be journalists following charlie around to see the gate money does indeed go to charity. 4500 full price tickets, fair whack.

if this comes up I don't want to be accused of claiming it after the fact. so my wee bet for today. £10 russell to score first and 3-0 united. 40/1. corals price. shammy

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Shammy; I got a funny feeling rangers might nick this. Utd have not won at home since AUGUST apparently. A lot depends on templeton, up against two tough full backs with good pace could see him marginalised. Daly is the key for me, he should bully the centre halves easily and let Russell and McKay Steven down the side. Just got a nagging feeling that the two rangers youngsters might hurt Utd with direct running. . . green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree4

It all depends on the ref. 10 men Utd I think, it's how they do it.
