Hey Ed what do you think are the chances the board keep the biscuit tin lid shut this close season? Our goalkeeper search is starting to look like the old 'left back' problem position...everyone sees it but nothing gets done about it {Ed007's Note - I have no idea the snack situation in the boardroom. I would imagine the biscuit tin gets opened during meetings and put back on after to help keep the freshness in. NL has stated that brining in a GK is his top priority.}

Just been watching SSN and they were on about the Joey Barton carry on, and on the side ov the screen was the odds on his next club, Celtic were 3/1 fav's.I know it dosent mean much cos Celtic were bookies favourites to get boothroyd, Givin, Bellamy etc but Barton would b a cracking player for us, but as usuall wages will balls it up {Ed007's Note - I don't usually post things about odds after sky trying to get free advertising on the sites, but Joey Barton? Are you actually serious? He is worse than Diouf, believe me that would be a horrendous signing for CFC. I for one would be absolutely disgusted if CFC were even interested in talking to him. For legal reasons I can not list things he has done but the cigar incident with James Tandy wasn't the worst incident. There is a list of his misdemeanours that goes way beyond that, he bullied younger players out of clubs because they wouldn't/couldn't face up to him. Complete waste of space IMO. There is a reason Mike Ashley wants him out of Newcastle, and anyone will tell you Mike Ashley doesn't like losing money so why is Barton a free? He has also been fined 2 weeks wages today, if he is being hard done by why has he not approached the Players Union to help? If he is being bullied by Mike Ashley then that is good enough for him.}

I know were ur coming from ed and agree he's has been an absolute clown for years, I live in Carlisle and alot ov my mates a Newcastle fans and I can remember them not being over the moon when he signed for them but most ov them, like me think he came ov age last season.but as u say fat Ashley wouldn't let him go for nowt.

Ed007 I agree totally from what I have read he has caused trouble at almost every club he has been at and his off field activities make goodwillie look like a saint. As you say barton NO No NO and NO again Timalloy {Ed007's Note - And that is just what you have read Tim.}

Barton has a horrible off the field reputation but to be fair has cleaned up his act in this respect in the past 3 or 4 years.

On the field he's still got a bit of an aggressive and overly competitive streak but then so has Scott Brown.

Kind of stuck in the middle on this. Good player, would be another that would get in people's faces like Broony but his reputation puts me off the guy and he'd command a large wage. Squad probably doesn't need somene that might disrupt the dressing room. {Ed007's Note - I can assure you he has NOT cleaned up his act. His off field problems are continuing.}

Not Realy A Rumour But Alot Of Ppl Are Sayin Sell Scott Brown N Bring Sumone Else In But Tbh A Would Rather See Ki And Kayal As Ki Can Go Forward With Kayal Breaking Up Attacks Ki Has Progressed Realy Well Tbh Swap Zaluska And 1m And Get Kello And Welton Of Malmo Looked Realy Sharp And Can Play Ed Wat You Think ?

Would like to see ki in there without brown too, but beleve Joe ledley is an excellent player but gets no praise because kayal is more noticeable

Tony dont know if it was ME or other guy you were having a go at, possibly both, no offence taken on my part I was just trying to explain that an insult is only an insult if you let it become one the people back then chose to be positive, anyway thats my history lesson over for today.
