Ed I have a question see if rangers get this embargo lifted and get a different punishment. do you see any club willing to a deal with the shame without cash up front. I think no club anywhere will be willing to a deal with them anyway.

hail hail

Marco1888 {Ed007's Note - They need to exit administration to lift the embargo that goes with that as well Marco. A lot of clubs will be wary, even on Europe their reputation is in tatters over the Jelavic transfer. I think a lot of clubs would be looking for cash up front. That was the problem with Goodwillie singing for them, DU wanted the money upfront, there will be a few teams that wished they had done the same.}

In his judgment today, Lord Glennie made reference to rule 62 in the SFA Judicial Panel Protocol which lays down a maximum fine of £1m and termination of membership for paying a match official more money than they are due. He then went on to draw a comparison between rule 62 and rule 66 which is the rule specifically dealing with the charge of bringing the game into disrepute – the charge under which the transfer embargo was imposed. He said, “There is no mention of suspensions, expulsions or ejection from the cup, and it makes no sense to have these sanctions spelled out in rule 62 but omitted from rule 66 if they were available.”

1 after today ruling there can only be two options suspension or expulsion .

2 if the shame get a cva then the big tax case hits it either back into admin or down to a new club.

3 uefa and fifa are watching ti make sure sfa and spl punish the shame

4 after the Mark daly show on bbc1 there can only be two options expulsion or relegation.

FIFA has warned the Scottish Football Association it must take action after Rangers' use of the law courts to challenge a registration embargo.
The Scottish Premier League side won a case at the Court of Session on Tuesday, with a judge ruling the Scottish FA had no power to impose a signing ban on the club for bringing the game into disrepute.
A statement from FIFA read: "At the time of writing we have not received any communication from the Scottish FA.
"In such a case, FIFA will ask the Member Association to take action so that the club withdraws its request from the ordinary courts.
"As a general rule, in case a club is seeking redress in front of ordinary court, as mentioned above the Member Association shall take direct action in order to safeguard the principle laid down in art. 64 par. 2 of
FIFA Statutes, which shall be, in view of art.
64 par. 3 incorporated in the Member Associations’ Statutes.
"FIFA will closely monitor the situation so that the issue is resolved as fast as possible."
Rangers' case will now be referred back to the original appeal tribunal, which has been ordered to operate within the framework which exists.
Rule 66 allows for a maximum fine of £100,000 to be imposed, as well as ejection from the Scottish Cup, a suspension, expulsion from participation in the game and/or termination of SFA membership.

Rangers fans need to wake up and understand that we've broken rules and need to be punished. I thought the transfer embargo was harsh, but it was probably fair on the whole. I understand the counter-argument that the panel did not have that punishment available and could not hand it down though.

I think we may be expelled from the SFA cup for a year. Why they didn't do this initially I don't know.

I reckon if they are allowed to pay the likes of HMRC 11p in the pound - and that alone opens the door for tax evaders galore and the transfer embargo is relaxed in any shape or form then Chaos reigns and it's a carte blanche for 'Chancers Inc.'
I seriously doubt the SFA and SPL will 'bottle it' amid various pressure groups and it will be very interesting to hear the 'reasons' for their decision.
I think there will be sabre rattling and mock indignation to try and save face, meanwhile.
All I want is to see the guilty punished and an end to the monotonous saga.
My boy is a Blue-Nose and he has been worried sick about the disclosures and revelations so for his sake I hope it is resolved fairly and quickly.

There are several other options open the sfa other than throwing rangers out
It says on stv they can impose a 100,000 pound fine or suspension from the Scottish cup
What ever they pick, they will not through rangers out, the spl can't survive without rangers and Celtic FACT! This was shown earlier in the season when rangers delayed their ticket money that dunfermline were intitled to and it led to dunfermline not being able to pay their players {Ed007's Note - It might be taken out of the SFA's hands.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"lets see the english kick off over ther no chance"
You are so wrong no name, the vast majority of Englands fans are going to Poland and Ukraine to watch football, not kick off. If you truely believe the crap you are talking you need help. This whole problem is because of the looney fans in Poland and Ukraine threatening the English with all sorts, nothing to do with us, so don't make out we are going looking for trouble it isn't true.
Also, by beating up helpless people, singing horrible, racist songs, and carrying knives doesn't make anybody tough, a pr!ck yes, but it makes them anything but the 'Ultras' they proclaim themselves to be. The whole thing is a shambles and yet again it will result in all football fans getting a bad name so people like you talking of England fans looking for trouble are just making this whole saga worse. Expelling Gers from league is not the "only other option". Expulsion from the Scottish Cup for a period of time is also another option, no doubt the most lenient option, but the only one in which wont be kicked out. I do think that the SFA will do this as they won't want to kick Gers out.
Whatever happens ( as a Gers fan ) I'm glad this has happened as it shows how much of a laughing stock the SFA are and surely Regan must now go.
Ps. If Gers are kicked out enjoy your 11-1 vote and sharing your profits with other clubs :)

So the CVA has been issued and look who are a secured creditor. How much will Whyte get as a back hander.

Administrators Duff & Phelps have accured operating charges and legal fees of over £5.5m and hold secure creditor status.

Ian

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wtf is going on with them....a CVA issued, but no-one knows how much they will receive??

they keep adding in this 'money owed to us for transfers, etc' but no-one in their right mind will be paying them a penny if there's a chance they could go down the tubes. so, it's ok to ask for money that is owed to them, but they will only pay a tiny fraction of what they owe? lol!!

well, i think we can expect a big fat resounding 'NON!' from the creditors.....they 'might' get a share of 8.5m, but when the BTC hits, then the cva fund has the potential to be of negative equity, therefore meaning they end up with 0 after all

From todays Scottish Daily Fail:

ADMINISTRATORS IN A STATE OF CONFUSION

The Rangers administrators admitted at the weekend they were 'unaware' that taking their case against the SFA to the Court of Session was against FIFA regulations and could incur further penalties.

Having already set in motion their bid to have the SFA's 12-month transfer embargo overturned, joint-administrator Paul Clark of Duff & Phelps then made the surprising admission that they hadn't realised the implications of such a move.

FIFA insist that such disputes should be resolved only by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and could come down heavily on SFA should they not take further action against the Ibrox club for their latest transgression.

It seems incredible that no one at Rangers was aware of the potential pitfalls of their legal challenge and despite Swiss side Sion, who Celtic replaced in the Europa League, having fought and lost a similar high-profile case last season.

Clark confessed: 'I don't know any of my team or lawyers were specifically aware of that.
'I wasn't aware of specifics. I do know that FIFA have a position where they look at the activities of individual associations.
'We are exploring all points on the transfer ban.'

Dave King and David Murray !!

This was posted on another football forum yesterday evening:

"Could the 'nuclear option' be linked to money laundering?"

“Well I have been debating all afternoon whether or not I should post this but here goes. My best friend is a solicitor and works for the foreign office and has told me that South Africa have applied for international arrest warrants for Dave King and David Murray. The foreign office have so far rejected all calls for this as the police, HMRC and SOCA are investigating what they say is one of the biggest money laundering schemes Scotland has ever seen and believe they have a case under UK jurisdiction.

South Africa believe that King has laundered up to £100 million through the Murray Group but my pal says as of yet there is no reason to believe any of the money went through Rangers. The money that has went through the Murray group may have bounced of up to 20 ‘dummy’ companies in countries like Barbados, Zimbabwe, Brazil and Scotland and were set up to buy ore metals from each other even though each company had no physical ore deposits. They apparently have rock solid evidence of this that would implicate King, King’s mother and David Murray. They are arguing that the people supposedly in charge of Kings trust are in fact fictional people as so far they have been unable to trace any of the declared trustees.

SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency) have had forensic investigators combing through Murray International holdings accounts for 6 months now and the list of possible money laundering just keeps growing. MURRAY SPORTS LIMITED which IS associated with Rangers have declared assets of under £10,000 yet have received loans of up to £40 million. There is no evidence to suggest this involves Dave King but certainly may indite Murray and apparently (I really have been doubting this) some very high ranking officials with the former Bank Of Scotland. Llyods have handed dossiers over to SOCA and the Police that show historic accounts from BOS handling of Murray Internationals accounts. The dossiers contained documents that BOS and Murray thought had been destroyed but the ‘Carbon Copies’ that were used to copy the hard documents where not destroyed and were digitalised when Llyods took over BOS.

Murray and King have had an injunction put in place to stop media reports on this and an appeal has been lodged by a major news organisation.

As soon as I find out any more I will let you guys know. The guy is my best friend and I have no reason to not believe him as he is very high ranking in his position.”
