Celtic need to start looking for a replacement for Scott Brown NOW beccause their is nothing near it in his position in the entire squad including Eboue.

28 Oct 2017 21:03:54
We will struggle to replace him. Mcginn is good but still well short of scott brown. It will take millions.

I agree, also hope Brendan doesn’t keep making so many changes, maybe 2/ 3, but otherwise we lose rythem, and its still early days, have to keep playing strong teams from the start to make sure we stay ahead in the league, Eboue and Ntcham are disappointing so far.

Kouassi is a player, give him time.

I thought eboue (spelling) did well in the 1st half, and also felt the wind in the 2nd made it harder, although it was a poor performance.

28 Oct 2017 23:22:21
I actually thought Kouassi played well today, however we certainly missed browns drive, the passing seemed very slow even though we kept possession well. Sinclair seems very off the pace all season . Leigh as well seemed very stagnant today and our last pass was poor . Wasn’t that impressed today all though we rested players and we have had a lot of games lately.

Kouassi is a player. Ntcham is not. I think it's a cert McGinn will come to us. Whether he is good enough for the level we want to get to us another question. I hope he is.

What can you say about that? Go to Aberdeen, our strongest challengers and blow them away. Home to this mob? We blow it. Doesn't help when their sole aim is to stop us scoring. Never mind parking the bus, I think Trump should use them to keep the Mexicans out of the US. Saying that, they played the perfect game that only a club of their capabilities can play against us. Frustrate and counter.

Just back from the game, another poor show! Thought the passing wasn’t ok first half but we ran out of ideas in the final 3rd! Only really quality was the goal and finish! We all like to go back on about the quality of the squad but that’s 3 home games Scott browns missed and not a victory from any of them! If these players really want to push into that starting 11 they have to step there game up massively imo! And far to many of our top performers last year are really struggling this year, Sinclair Armstrong and paddy to name but a few! Not panicking or anything like that because we’re still on top and into the first cup final of the season! Just a bit of a worry that some fringe players are not ready for the step up! We played probably our best domestic match under Rodgers 3 days ago then serve up that today!

Disappointed with todays display and team selection. 3 matches at home this season wuth 6 points dropped. Poor show especially after Wednesday's performance.

28 Oct 2017 18:49:15
6 points dropped at home is the annoying thing but when we get champions league out the way the after burners will go on hh.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Oct 2017 19:02:11
Agree bhoys but in the grand scheme of things it won't matter a jot. Like Wednesday night we can raise our game when needed provided it's a strong eleven. Some lads do need to step up to the plate when required. Main disappointment was Paddy's injury but let's be positive bhoys. Big night coming up midweek nights that the rest of this league can only dream about.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Oct 2017 19:24:19
Every time we play a big midweek fixture we struggle at home after resting the main bhoys but that team today should have been good enough for 3 points. at least we're still undefeated.

28 Oct 2017 21:11:12
It was very much a second string team. We don't have the strength in depth but i don't think we are as fluent as we were last season. Paddy hasn't got back to where he was. Sinclair the same but when you put Dembele in then its much better but its just as well we have no real opposition as we are behind points wise compared to last season and Aberdeen have more than this time last season but we produce when we need to.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2017 22:33:15
not too bovered, we are top of the league and will be by the end of the season, sure we shoulda won today, but we will be top by the end of the season, maybe by a few less points but if it means we tinker with the squad - for the sake cl games - or just to give the squad a game - then that's okay, knowing we have a squad that can step up and beat our closest rivals convincingly.

Not worried.

Looking forward to Tuesday.

Morning EDs with a massive game again on Tuesday do I think Rodgers will mix it up the day again wae MD getting back to it again will he rest him for Tuesday and stick the Griff back in.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I think Dembele will startt keep his momentum going and LG has looked a bit off the boil the last couple of game. Today's team will be picked to give the players the best chance of being at their peak for Tuesday, some will need a rest and some will need game time to get/keep their sharpness up.}

A report aye saw suggests that Micky Johnstone might be envolved the day?

I have felt LG (either by choice or instruction, has been playing more wider and Dembele is more direct.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2017 14:48:30
You are right Tiny Tim. Different team when Dembele plays. He brings more players into the game. He plays a bit deeper than LG and links up the play. Griff goes wide to find space but Dembele is stronger and direct.

I have lived in England now for over 30 years been a season ticket holder since our season at hampden and now that we are so strong and light years ahead of everyone in Scotland we have that arse Souness coming out with his latest crap and all the ex Celtic players (cannot be called Celtic men) on Sky not a word to Souness about EBTs.
Its our fault our club is well run, playing some of the best football we have seen in years and they are on down and out and long may it continue. (credit to Willie Miller for his comments about us)

Spot on Paul 65,
There is only one word that comes to mind. That is jealously. The hate the fact that we're a well run successful club and that eats away at them.
Long may it continue.

Souness, the man that wrecked scottish football imo, good competative league till he started the trend of buying players with inflated prices with money they never had, can't remember him coming out with a, We need a strong celtic when he was up to his knees in EBTs, Smacks of sour grapes and jealousy, if it means so much to him he should take the job at starkiller base, but since he's a chequebook manager he wouldn't touch it.

excellent Bhoywonder.
Nae money = nae souness
Not ONE journalist or interviewer has mentioned EBT's in the same breath as Coisty, Souness, Smith etc.
Bunch of Sycophants.

The only people who bang on about scottish football meeding a strong rangers are all old school ibrox men. Attendances accross the SPL show gates are up. Agree less people watching old firm games on tv but don't give a rats ass about that. There will never be any money in scottish football so we need to keep our CL money coming in and bring in cash that way. If anyone is goig to stop that then they need to win the league then win 4 qualifying rounds so its ours to lose. These journalists should be praising Celtic from the rooftops for being able just to get qualified never mind the £400k each team gets when we do qualify. What benefit is a strong Rangers to us or any other SPL team? No the SPL needs a very strong Celtic as we are the only ones who can het the UEFA money for all the league teams.

Don't get uptight about Souness or any if them with their comments.

Rejoice as I do, absolute certainty of proof that they are fecking dying inside.

The pain and rage is oozing out, drenching every sentence and thought. They know they have nothing. They know we hold all the aces and unless we **** ourselves up, they are doomed to the also ran role.

I seriously couldn't be happier when this pain presents itself. Look at it as I do. Confirmation of the superiority and their insecurities and fears. Abject suffering. What's not to like?

I fecking love it and I honestly hope to read and see this stuff everyday forever.

I must admit, i was happy with both Miller and McInnes assessments of the game. McInnes even said he thought the Scott Brown hand ball was a penalty but he was probably clutching at straws.

Always found Miller to be quite honest in his opinions even if I don't always agree with the.
But guys like him and Michael Stewart are in the minority in Scottish football.

I'm fighting a bit of pre-match cynicism after hearing about BR's autobiography via an interview on the bbc tonite. Perfectly timed celebration, to be sure, on the continuing demise of the con-artists-formerly-known-as-rangers. I imagine it will do great in terms of sales right now, and don't grudge the man the telling of his tale--if that is what the book genuinely involves. He's all of 44, however, and in the middle of "building something" here (as we are regularly reminded) , so the timing doesn't exactly make for a retrospective as far as CFC is concerned. Won't get my panties in a twist, but any takers out there? Is it any good?

Hi Cavalcanti, there are 20 year old “celebrities” from reality tv writing autobiography’s so I’m sure Brendan has more to say than them but I don’t think there will be too much about his time as our manager in it. I think the biggest insult that he can give to the “former club” would be to not mention them at all. HH.

28 Oct 2017 11:48:12
He's fit quite a bit into they 44 years. Growing up during the troubles moving to England to build his football career then having it taken away by injury then building a coaching career from a young age.
