Just watched sevco v st Johnstone, if we can't beat that mob if we meet them then it's time to pull the shutters down.i know at the moment we are not great, but in all honesty they are really poor.killy.

Agree0 Disagree0

C charlie nickolas thinks Sevco ar 4 players away from competing wi celtic, he must b on some thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was dipping in and out and it was pretty bloody awful. St Johnstone were toothless, May would have run sevco ragged, but I got to agree with you.If we did not win comfortably it would be worrying, having said that I bet we draw them. if we do the Harry Wraggs

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually agree with him. Infact maybe fewer players than that when you look at how much we have downsized the standard of our playing staff and how they have improved. A few years ago they couldn't have touched a team with Wilson, Ledley, wanyamma, hooper in it. Now if we play them I will be squeaky bum time. Markie.

Marker agree to done extent. They need a minimum £10mill spent on their squad but we have lost to Hamilton and Inverness, and would you say that Sevco are much worse than them? we have a half decent squad but we are playing poorly and unless we start to play much better anything can happen. If we draw them and did not win, I think it would be the end for RD? Anyone who says it would be accepted and we would carry on as normal has not got their head around the consequences.

Hi I think central defensive pairing are too similar in type and there's a need for a more combative no nonsense centre half to complement one of them

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That was something I thought to. I wondered if we had kelvin Wilson beside any of them how much better we would be defensively. I suppose at the end of the day they haven't been playing together that long and they are both young, there's no doubting there quality so they may get better and better with a bit of luck. and then we will lose one or both lol!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we buy an experienced CB in jan. And/or our own pedigree youngster - no point developing Denayer long term imo if he ain't going to sign. We'll probably lose Virgil in the summer too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah marky someone of Elvin's ilk would help think that young debayer is watchn what Virgil's doing and think I can do same forgetting that defending comes first and I would rather that we had one central defender that didn't wander

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see them going for an experienced CB in january, cause realistically can see Van Dijk leaving in next window.

Hopefully bring in another CM as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

CDM would be good not had one since Wanyama imo. Liked the Kara chat resurfacing on the rumors the other day, he could cover at CB as well

Congratulations to Hearts for becoming the first British club to pay their employees the living wage. First they put Rangers to shame by exiting administration without being liquidated and doing it the right way and now they've shown up our board for their tory like policies. Our own board are telling shareholders to vote against us paying the living wage at the agm, that's disgraceful. I detest Hearts but credit where it's due, their fans have a club they can really feel proud about they've really shown sevco and now us up in the last couple of years.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I would prefer my club to be playing in the top division and Europe than playing in league Division 1 .

I agree well done Hearts on implementing the living wage.
Surely if they can afford to pay these wages a bigger club like Celtic can also, all it takes is the will to implement it.
Over to you Mr Lawwell.

{Ed007's Note - I know there is a lot goes on that JB can't talk about on here without giving away who he is but the retail staff, ticket office and admin etc are treated like muck, Timbo. Our club should be the pioneer for this sort of thing. The club and supporters like to use the sound bite that we are "More Than a Club". But actually actively implementing it seems to be a major problem.}

Totally agree. Every large company should pay the living wage, why one with our ethos or roots isn't stinks.

Agree2 Disagree0

Remember that rangers and sevco war cry. dignity? that's what hertz have done, no fan of the who follow them but fair play to their owner.Bills paid, same club and young players.

My feelings on Delia on here are quite clear but I think that firstly the next 3 games in the league cup, league and europa league will go a long way to appeasing the doubters, like me, IF he wins all 3 games.
Secondly, if he can now get team playing at a quicker tempo, and cutting out all the silly mistakes and getting the fans excited again.
Finally, how he fares in the January transfer market will be his next big test, if he brings in a quality player or two, or even tie up Guidetti on a long deal will define him as a proper Celtic manager in a lot of fans eyes.
All Celtic fans want to see the team succeed, and despite everything I said, I want Delia to succeed also, but only if he ups his game along with the team. Cut out all the basic mistakes and coach the young players like Denayer so they can improve also.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Timmaloy, were 3 points behind the leaders with a game in hand, going into the first cup qf of the season and potentially 3 points away from Europa after Christmas is this bad?

Agree2 Disagree0

He was given a four game target before the Astra game . Are we going to keep giving him targets all season . After turning round one win from seven, to six wins out of seven, should we not back them .

Just seeing that Dylan Mcgeoch was man of the match and outstanding against hearts In his preferred central midfield possition. I liked Mcgeoch but never thought he got a fair crack of the whip in center mid. Could be we win a watch if he starts living up to his potential and comes back a better player. Markie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe Dylan is playing against a standard that suits him best, in the Division 1.
Obviously he didn't show Lennon and his assistants enough to be selected Centre midfield .

Agree0 Disagree0

Markiebhoys mcgeoch is at hibs because in my opinion that is his level.he has been living on a goal he scored against st mirren, any other time I saw him he failed to impress I could be wrong but that is the way I see it.killy.

Agree0 Disagree0

You may well be right guys. I'm problably clutching at straws desparate for a somebody of quality to come through and stand out. Markie

What is everyone's views on our preferred central midfield partnership? We have Virgil who is being courted by Arsenal at apparently 10 million, and Dennier who is highly regarded as being the new Vincent company at man city. With that sort of pedigree (and they can both obviously play) you would think we would be having a similar run of clean sheets in Scotland as we did last year. Other than the last couple of games that's not been the case. Maybe we are now on a run of clean sheet games I don't know but judging by the amount of chances we seem to offer teams I don't think so. At first I thought maybe it was because they were to similar. Then maybe that as in Denniers case it was just a bit of inexperience, but on closely watching the games iv noticed just how high both full backs are being asked to push at the same time. Looking at it when we attack it's only the 2 center halfs left to defend, NL would go with the 'if one full back is pushing up, then one stays' idea, and I'm wondering if it's just the extra pressure when moved break down. Could be a combination of all and it could just be they haven't quite gelled as a partnership yet. Be interested to hear the panels expert opinion on this. Cheers markie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It could be it is inexperience with VVD & Denayer, I feel they are too casual at times.

I've posted before that anytime VVD is tested by decent opposition, there seems to be an almighty collapse and i've yet to see that change.

He seems to be a player but can be over-confident.

But my overall assessment of the pairing is 6/10 - could do better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I meant to say central defensive partnership. Yep I go along with that mrs E. 6 maybe 7 out of 10. I definately think they have the ability to do better. Markie

Agree0 Disagree0

My opinion is Denyer (spelling ) is a good player but Virgil think's he is a player who is too good for us, since he never got his transfer in the summer, he is lackadaisical to say the least, he has been the cause of a few goals with his someone else will get it attitude, I don't believe we will get aq £10 million offer for him

Ed, buddy as its quiet, how bout enlightening us wi part 2 of the subutteo story.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - We'll need to get something sorted out for that, we're busy trying to come up with ideas to stop it being so quiet!}

Ed you better save your strength because come January your going to be run off your feet buddy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We know but Ed001 and Ed033 have still got to cover the running costs outside transfer windows. Then there's my retainer to cover as well, you won't understand as you've never seen me but Sly TV would pay a small fortune just to have Jamie Redknapp on the same screen as me talking about football, their female viewing figures (and advertising revenue) would go through the roof.}

If that's the case ed count me in for a trio and we'll make a fortune 😁😝

Agree0 Disagree0

Then you really could employ wee pat as a full time butler :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Do you really fancy Wee Pat wakening you with breakfast in bed? He's hardly the Alfred out of Batman or Hobson from Arthur type.}

Lol not no really, but remember Ed when you do make it on to that ssn sofa you have to put a good word in for me with Katie Abdo ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If Hayley McQueen is around I want to be the sofa!}

Ed, smart and intelligent people usually only have a face for radio. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

You bhoys blind? It's Olivia Wayne all over.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I remember her when she was still Olivia Godfrey and in FHM and that, she was a bit hackit back then, I'd drink Hayley McQueen's dirty bathwater! I better not say too much, I wouldn't want Mrs E to get all flustered by my charm. We've all been to a night out (Motherwell Miners, The Greenfield in Burnbank etc) and know what those cougars and glamorous grannies are like once they get started!(think)

JimTim you been smoking to much of that stuff mate! Then it's Rachel Wyse lovely wee irish coleen with a front 2 worth talking about! :-)

A jump jockey to boot as well add certainly get my joppers on & go riding with her ;-)

As for you Ed tut tut where am fae they approach you asking you if you want the "squirrel dance" wance roon the flair and out the back exit for your NUTS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hackit? Haha sorry Ed you pulled at heartstrings there, me granda used to say 'hackit' to describe a naughty keich he'd have! Olivia Wayne is not "hackit". Never too much Jamie ;)
