Watched the game on Sunday and noticed that on several occasions the Well players practiced the pull on the arm that Cipre used on Sinclair. It even happened on the the run up to Forrest goal. As my granny would have said, "hell mend them! ' 🍻.

I wonder if the goons in the press who were begging Motherwell to beat us on Sunday will be begging Aberdeen to win tomorrow night. After all, it would keep Aberdeen in touch with us and would be good for Scottish football.
I somehow doubt it.

What a thought gerry. We shall watch the print in earnest.

If Aberdeen win both games, did the old Rangers ever lose four games in a row?

Looking forward to tomorrow's game - can't beat the festive period, from a supporter perspective, with the packed fixture list.

Will be interesting to see how we line up following the Cup Final victory over them on Sunday. Few players need resting and other needing game time ahead of Anderlecht next week.

My team in 3-4-2-1:
De Vries

Boyata
Simunovic
Sviatchenko

Forrest
Ntcham
Brown
Tierney

Roberts
Rogic

Griffiths.

The idea of making many changes regarding personnel and formation after an easy enough Cup Final would only be made by people on Football management . I am sure Brendan will do as most successful managers will do and keep changes to a minimum and maybe tweek a few positions.

I think Sinclair will start but also think they will be out to get Sinclair n put in some nasty challenges.

I'd give Sinclair a night off. For me it's not a physical thing with him but a mental. Played a stack of games had international breaks but he has seen involved players rested or not used, he has still been grafting in training all this time. Bring him on from the bench and give Roberts a wee go.

Dweemarty - Sinclair has been poor recently, needs a rest. Also we have Anderlecht coming up nothing wrong with resting Armstrong and giving Ntcham some game time as he hasn't started many matches in the last month or so.

If this Australian deal is a goer can someone who knows about these things explain how it benefits us . ie are we buying outright or a minimal share. is it just a publicity/ awareness project for our image . if we finance it does it impact our spl/ euro spending . how many players could we send there on loan / development and vice versa . is the A league/ Australian player market worth the effort / expenditure of any investment? Or would a similar set up in a place like Croatia who season on season churn out talent not be better?

It's a controller stake that is being reported
It could benefit us in several ways.
Player recruitment and merchandise opportunities to name 2.
We can't do it with teams that can qualify for European football in case we meet them in a tournament.
Celtic are trying to grow but there in only so much that can be done because we play in scotland. This is just another way for our club to keep evolving and getting bigger.

No expert, but my thinking is that it will basically promote the 'Celtic' brand into Australia and Asia. Like City Group, it might become Celtic Group or something like that. A Celtic team doing well in that part of the world might drum up interest in the Celtic over here. The 'Celtic Group', or whatever, would also find another revenue stream in the club we'll look to have a controlling stake in. There's talk that it's Central Coast Mariners we're looking at, I wonder what the natives will think of the idea.

There is a lot of interested in Celtic over there already. A lot of ex pats. Be good to tap into that tae.
