Guessing big Gordon won't be in goal tomorrow with Doris back in? Not good when going for record break wins

Why not?

Think Gordon will play Doris is hopeless

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 11:41:40
Gordon is a professional so I see no reason why he won't play today. Celtic resurrected his career and put him in the shop window and while he may in the end opt for a return to England surely he is big enough and ugly enough to put that to one side a focus on the job in hand. As for oor Doris for feck sake-the Carlton Cole of goalkeeper signings and the one howler by Rodgers for me since his arrival πŸ€

gordon will play.

29 Jan 2017 11:47:52
Depends if he's unhappy about the bid being turned down. If he is he shouldn't play.

I see a lot of Killie fans are raving about young Ajer after there game.
Thought he might have had a better chance with us and I hope he comes back and get a good chance in the team

He'll be a ready made CB for next season save us a fortune

I see young Kristoffer Ajer was MOTM today for Killie! There fans are raving about him on Twitter, had to laugh at one it Read
"Young Ajer is some Player! Southampton may as well just bid Β£13million now"

Made me laugh!

He could be Ronnie's legacy by today's reports πŸ€

{Ed007's Note - What about Kieran Tierney?}

28 Jan 2017 22:27:16
Could put Griffiths in that list tae I'd say.

{Ed007's Note - Defo, Kev, I forgot about LG.}

28 Jan 2017 23:04:37
Leigh Who?

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 10:53:06
Yeah, Ajers career was in the doldrums in Norway, apart from being made captain of his team, Griffiths was a terrible goslscorer apart from being voted sfwa player of the year, the year before joining Celtic, and young Tierney, surprised everyone by the way he has progressed, aye right.

29 Jan 2017 12:17:30
A was never a Ronnie basher but if your going to credit him for players improving should he not shoulder the blame for the ones who went backwards? Gms, Armstrong, brown

29 Jan 2017 11:12:06
Lennon signed LG, I'm sure

I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on Hernanes a name we are being strongly linked with. I don, t like buying players over 30 recent choices have been very poor and haven, t lasted. But Moravcik and Auld are examples of what experience can bring to a team. This players football brain (if he still has the hunger) could be invaluble in the Cl also the way scottish teams are setting up against us he could help unlock these packed defences. Rogic and Armstrong could learn a lot from a player with his international experience.

On another note what a change in Boyata from the last 18 months i wonder how much this has to do with the coaching of Toure and if so he too could be a great addition to the staff

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2017 18:53:20
i think he is to old for us to be really interested in him you could be right about him doing a job for us Jonace but I think its just paper talk

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 21:07:32
I think there are some players, Ajer- Christie, that Brendan sees a future with us and wants them to get some experience. But getting the squad down to the number 's he likes is going to be difficult and may take a few window's. Lessons to be learned Pistol Pete. Could be worse though, I heard sevco's terms were 20 weeks at 6 quid for that goalie. What ambition, I've a feeling there's something around the corner at Greyskull

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 11:30:05
A class act control vision passing can shoot too has everything you'd want in a number 10 unfortunately I don't think Celtic will go for him pitty though lubo signed at 33 I don't think we'd pass him up if he was 33 again

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 16:24:27
What do people think regarding the players that aren't deemed good enough for us. At the minute it looks like we will be stuck with effy and cifti and so on for the foreseeable future.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Jan 2017 16:37:47
Simple really - should never have been with us in the first place!

Ambrose had done his bit to be fair to him - on the odd occasion he's been almost ok.

Players like Allen, Bailly, Ciftci are the ones that annoy me. Signed, not played, probably on decent money and probably on three year deals. Madness. Rant over

Agree4 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 16:47:12
And one last thing - imo the "7" jersey is almost sacred. Worn by the King and the true King Jinky.

Should never have been given to a lady ditch panic buy squad player. That's me, I'm done - feeling better πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜‚

28 Jan 2017 17:19:36
We'll put Craigie, Pistol Pete should never have sanctioned most of them, now they'll sit tight and run out their contracts. And why shouldn't they, even though we all don't like it. They'll only move on for similar money or they have a bit of ambition left but any club they go to won't be anywhere near the calibre of club they're at now and they all know it. My rant over

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 18:26:00
Utter bollocks regarding number 7. It's just a number. What about 25, 9, 10 to name a few

Agree1 Disagree5

29 Jan 2017 01:03:27
Aye the sacred 25, Thomas rogne :) as I said DN30, in my opinion, almost holy - in your just a number.

Like everything, everyone has their own views.

Ciftci shouldn't even have had a squad number full stop

29 Jan 2017 03:05:30
Thought you were a big 18 fan DN. Now there's a jersey that's hard to fill

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 10:12:01
Craigie was referring to lubo. Point I was making is it doesn't matter what number a player has on there back, as long as they produce the goods. If it was as sacred as some think we wouldn't of seen average players like miku, zurawski, Juninho etc.

TTTS nice try lol. Always said liked Lennon as a player but not a manager. Not allowed to say that though on this site, too much of a clique mentality

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 11:51:46
25 was lubo's number i think that was dn's point.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 13:49:15
Lubo and Nakia wore 25. They did alright didn't they :)

I see you point though mate, shouldn't matter what number as long as they are giving their all and producing the goods.

Some different points I wanted to make.
First I heard Chelski have turned attention to an Italian goalie and offered Β£12m, yet only offered us Β£2-Β£3m, feckin cheats.
Second I see the EPL teams are dishonouring the FA cup again by playing weakened teams, do none of these EPL managers ask their own fans about importance of getting to Wembley.
Third I see "Keystone Klopp" has LOST again and Liverpool out of TWO cups in days. This is the same Klopp who was apparently better than Brendan yet has set Liverpool way back and also remember he very nearly got Borussia Dortmund relegated in his last season there.
So to paraphrase a kop song
"Liverpool, HA HA HA"

klopp gave us the fortunate chance to get BR in would never have happened had he still been at them. Went to the Tommy Burns super last night and BR was there he's a class act and should make the most of it while he's here what a great night it was as well God Bless TB

If Gordon does go it's an easy profit . Wouldn't mind seeing Leo fasan get a chance as 1st choice GK

Believable2 Unbelievable6

28 Jan 2017 12:08:37
Fasan was impressive against Milan in pre season. I'm not really sure why he doesn't get a chance now and again. I'm sure Brendan has high expectations for Doohan in the development squad.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 12:18:30
Why is he not no2 canny b worse than Doris

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I was talking about that last night with JamieBhoy, MTM. Fasan is 22 and hasn't even been able to claim a regular place on the bench yet, his contract is running out at the end of the season and I've not heard anything about him getting a new deal - which doesn't mean there hasn't been any talks btw, just I've not heard or seen anything about it - and there seems to be more of a buzz around 18 year old Ross Doohan from the Development Squad.}

28 Jan 2017 12:35:46
Just like O'Connell he clearly isn't rated or he would be signed up to a new deal.

I'm not sure if he has even been out on loan so at 22 he is our 4th choice keeper and hasn't played an actual first team game. I would be surprised if he is there at the start of next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm thinking the same, Niall.}

28 Jan 2017 13:29:22
Agree ed strange one thought he looked ok in pre season but av heard good reports on doohan just hope Fasan if he leaves doesn't turn into a Given scenario

28 Jan 2017 12:38:49
And there are people wanting us to accept Β£2.5m for Craig feckn Gordon!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've never hidden the fact I don't like or rate Gordon but moving to an EPL team with the money they spend on dross (Man City and Bravo?) I'd be disappointed if we sold Gordon for Β£2.5 or Β£3 million - not that I'm saying Gordon's dross btw.}

28 Jan 2017 13:20:18
Ed-It appears Rogers has hit the Craig Gordon move to Chelsea on the head. Delighted about that! πŸ‘πŸ€

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Chelsea were told on Thursday when they made their initial approach that Gordon wasn't for sale yet they still put in an official bid yesterday that was rejected with Celtic maintaining that he wasn't for sale.}

28 Jan 2017 13:34:49
Hope it's dead Ed but what a feckn insult @ Β£2.5m. We need to end the arrogant bar stewards in the EPL treating us like a cheap option feeder club when they're paying daft sums down there nor least Β£10m for Snodgrass. πŸ€

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And people on here wanted us to sign Snodgrass simply because he's a Celtic supporter.}

29 Jan 2017 11:53:54
just typical EPL madness! I actually like snodgrass but over 10 million for a guy nearing 30 who's out of contract next summer is bonkers! But it's just the norm down there now! 10 million for a player down there is like us spending a 1 million up here! It's a different planet honestly! We should concentrate on the Belgian Dutch Scandinavian leagues to unearth players and leave down there alone!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2017 11:41:45
Snodgrass is getting 4 million a year
