well done to St Johnstone feels so strange seeing another club win a cup. just shows how unreal and unique our dominance was there.

we have had a poor season bhoys we move on. our club is still the same it was in that dominance run this has been a strange season with everything going on. i believe big changes are being made to kick us on massively

let that mob have there laughs and there title this season once there partying is over they will still have the bill to pay that made them challenge for it.

The first time in 5 years any club in Scotland other than Celtic has won a domestic trophy.

An unpleasant period of dominance.

Don’t be sad it’s over be glad you saw it.

One club. 4 seasons. Twelve trophies. A quadruple treble. Invincible. 15 league titles in 20 years.

God Bless the Celtic.

2 Decade's of Dominance JFP👍Its took us imploding on and off the park. Players getting C.V. Players isolating due to international bubbles being burst! Dubai. No fans. Lennedy. As you say let them have their 1 year celebrations (Which will see them making a right james hunt of themselves) A summer rebuild will have us back to dominate once again.

Pud we’ve known for years the only team that could stop us wining 10 in a row was Celtic. That has proved to be the case with this season constituting a monumental act of self harm.

Albeit during a perfect storm and aided and abetted by those in authority who award penalties for and against and who decide which players self isolate and which don’t for breaching the rules.

I believe, hope and pray that this years mistakes will enable the right individuals to be appointed and forge a team that will start a new era of dominance. HH.

The wife is Polish so we have a Polish tv box. Occasionally I watch the Polish league. And I tell you Boruc can still play at the highest level. No 1 keeper for leige Warsaw and still pulling off some saves. How we could done with him this season. I would have signed him on a free even if he is nearly 40.

Strange feeling today, there’s a cup final and we aren’t involved.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The first time since May 2016, Quinny when Hibs won it and the supporters of Scotland's newest club brought shame on Scottish football.}

28 Feb 2021 11:29:56
In a way I am glad we are not involved as it means I don't have to subject myself to watching 90 minutes of pish.

On that note I was in the Dolphin in Patrick that day a well known Celtic pub if anybody knows it. Have never had any time for Hibs or their supporters and travelling to Easter Road many years ago wasn’t much better if any than a trip to Tynecastle in terms of a welcome. But we ended up in a singalong with the Hibs supporters on their way back from Hampden that day having won the cup and had a great craic. I have since watched their rendition of Sunshine on Leith at Hampden that day after the other lot had been escorted off the park with the assistance of police horses having done themselves proud once again. Tremendous.

We have some fantastic Celtic songs but Sunshine on Leith must be up there with one of the best football anthems anywhere. They sang it at Easter Road when they gathered having successfully fought off Mercer’s merger with Hearts.

Not Celtic related just a wee melancholic walk down memory lane post with Sunday morning coming down.

Hi Guys,

First time post .

Been a STH for many years but only just registered on here after seeing some comments on our club performance this season.

Question, Was it all Lennon's fault this season? .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Feb 2021 10:48:48
Maybe not all his fault but at the end of the day he was the manager and the buck stops with him, also his tactics well I should say lack of tactics proved to be the nail in his coffin.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 10:57:45
Not by a long shot there have been failures at every level within the club from board, recruitment, manager to players. Add this to a global health crisis that i’d contend has adversely affected us more than most have combined to create the perfect storm. Neil Lennon carries no more than 20% of the can for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:10:14
Combination of things from lennon to the board to the players, nobody covered themselves in glory. and its now time to think big and get a top manager and dof in. or watch the st money fall at an alarming rate. the punters need a lift.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:36:39
Many contributing factors but possibly the biggest mistake was letting the downward slide continue far too long; when more prompt decisive action may have salvaged at least part of the season?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:37:56
Mally a cluster f**k of a season if ever there was one.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 12:59:33
Players cost us the league. Disgraceful all season no desire, no commitment, no Energy just went through the motions. Punt the lot.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 13:01:29
Not at all just Lenny's fault but he did have his part to play in this season you can look at the full board the PR department IF WE HAVE ONE THAT IS? None existent to really really bad if we do have recruitment really you can say it's a total F up all round from our club this season even when the signs were there last season we did nothing about it.

See all this stuff earlier about Kennedy picking the same team as Lennon therefor “what’s the point” etc. what a lot of rubbish.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Feb 2021 10:31:41
What I meant by that was nothing will change overnight and probably not until there’s a different management team to change the culture. There’s a flatness to the squad which needs lifted by a new manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:26:20
There was zero point replacing Lennon with Kennedy as far as I can tell frow what I witnessed yesterday.

The board have known from the start of the season that the manager was likely going to need replaced. The sensible thing to do was identify what you wanted from a manager and then look for a manager who would deliver that.

Next step was to speak to him and once you had him lined up, then you say thanks to Neil for all he has done, pay him off and get the new manager in. This should have happened in December at the latest, so they had a transfer window to try and fix some things.

The fact we didn't act sooner and did not have anyone lined up to replace Lennon, is further evidence of how inept the board are.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 11:39:20
Chelsea maybe not the perfect example; didn't appoint Jodie Morris to take over after Lampard left. They went out and got the best man available in their eyes - and we should have too, only much earlier.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2021 13:03:44
Yeah the board have a lot to answer for totally complacent.
