was it just me or did anyone think stokes didnt put any effort in today, it seemed like all other players chased people down except for him this guy has a bad attitude as far as im concerned

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Are you taken the piss ? Stokes was one of our better players today and has been the best player this season , He will score 20+ goals again this year Back your team ya numpty

Agree0 Disagree0

Stokes was one of the better players in yet another poor performance and if i was him i would be severly pissed off at constantly getting dropped for the big games in europe and the games against the manky mob from castle greyskull for that clown samaras

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you another clown who bases judgement on what other people say? stokes worked his socks off AGAIN today, he's one of the few who give 100% every time, and if you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't come up with this tripe. bad attitude? thats paper & bluenose talk

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we please stop using Castle Grayskull as an insult to Ibrox as Castle Grayskull was home off the good guys . Personally I find Mordor a better comparison as that was full off evil with the eye that was always looking over his subjects (Gordon Smith) and the Orcs (the ugly ones which wanted to fight all the time). Well I think you might be getting my point so I will leave it for you to decide . LOL

Ed, just posted this on the main page but not sure it will get posted so I thought I would throw it out to the tims to see what they thought:

So much for the premiership being the most 'competitive' and 'best' league in the world

I think todays results prove that it is nowhere near that, the richest yes but far from competitive:

Man u 8
Arsenal 2

Man City 5
Spurs 1

These were 4 from the top 5 last year.........make up you own mind

Well, if the Old Firm wanna join the Prem, ask Spurs what it's like to be on the end of the best part of a billion Arab Oil quid.
I can't wait for the world to be powered by solar and wind energy, and nuclear powered flying cars, what ed?
The Real KB no CID {Ed007's Note - City have put some squad together, but it will still be number 20 at OT, you know it KB ;-) Just wish there was a Sheikh Seamus Murphy hiding somewhere!!}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

KB, yes city look the part and so do UTD, but Arsenal are poor. Switching between Hibs game and Man Utd game, no difference ha ha. Ed007 two of our shareholders ARE billionaires, they should be putting their hands in their pockets and giving Lennon some cash Hail hail timalloy {Ed007's Note -I know they should Tim, but they haven't done it to any great extent so far. For all it would take as well?}

Man U, Man City and Liverpool look sh*t hot this season. Them plus Chelsea make up the top 4 this year IMO.

I really hate to be on a downer with the Bhoys so often but we were pretty awfull today.
Fantastic to go 2-0 up so early and that shoud have got the confidence surging and steamroll them.
But we never passed well, couldn't tackle and let St Mirren dominate the middle of the park. We also gave them a lot of width to get crosses in.
Luckily we got away with it TODAY.
Still missing too many sitters and carrying a few passengers (No names required).
However it's 3 more points than last week even with that wee scrotum Willie Collum doing his usual.
I hope NL sees the same problems as the rest of us or we are going to have no finger nails by Christmas
And I won't be able to scratch my back - the way Stuart McCall always scratches Sallys'.

Jinky Fan {Ed007's Note - Again it was pretty dire, after the start we made I thought we could have went on and built up a bit of self confidence. At least it's a much needed win and three points.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

That was absolute crap today ,though must agree that referee is a waster

Agree0 Disagree0

But for a few lapses of concentration by Saints and two very good well taken goals from Hooper we would have been in serious trouble today. St Mirren played us off the park for long periods. An observer from another country would have thought St Mirren were Celtic The tactics, team selection (Brown should have been rested) were woeful. Mulgrew played well, Forrest did ok and FF pulled off a couple of very good saves which he wont get the credit he deserves for. It was awful and as for Stokes the guy is a liability with little discipline trying flicks and back heelers constantly. Ledley was badly missed, and I think there are some serious issues brewing behind the scenes, how else do we explain the lack of consistency

hi ed this will be my first proper post,it goes on a bit but i've got a few thing that need to be said. What's all this talk about replacing neil lennon about? What happened to in lennon we trust? Sure i know we had a bad result against st johnstone and of course going out of europe wasn't a great experience but i feel too many of the celtic support are being suckered in to the media hype/agenda. I was part of the 60,000 at celtic park on the last day of the season showing what it's all about to be a part of the celtic family. I was gutted that we hadn't won the league but proud of how the celtic fans showed their support for the teams efforts over the season and proud that we rose above the disappointment to show the world that we really are a special club. Do you think for one minute that that other mob across the city could pull themselves out of their bitter,hate filled mindset to put on a show like that? And here we are only a handful of games into the season and there are some who want our manager out. As i said earlier i feel some are getting themselves caught up in the media hype just take yesterdays daily r***** for example. That parasite keevins picking holes in neil lennons quotes as if he's a concerned supporter or as if he is the voice of the celtic supporter on the street. Do you want keevins to speak on your behalf? He questions neil's public defence of the team on thursday night but sometimes that's what managers do when face to face with the media but i'm sure that behind closed doors thing would have been very different. He even asks how far have celts come since mowbray? Who would you rather have at the helm? He also asks why is Lennon not in a tizzy over euro crash? I'm sure that's because Neil's not giving them what they want by losing the plot in front off them and giving them the big headlines that they wish for. Then you turn the page to an article by colin duncan and it's all about that wee fat cheeky chappy ally. And surprise surprise there's no criticism of his post match interview where he praises his teams efforts or where he says his team gave their all. Instead it's an almost sympathetic approach towards poor wee sally in actual fact the whole articles sole purpose is to put a positive spin on things over at i****. And even on radio snyde yesterday it was as if Celtic were more to blame than r****** for the "death of Scottish football" with at one point someone (keevins i'm sure) saying well Neil Lennon's been in the job for over a season now and that ally has only been in a couple of months. Was Neil Lennon given the same courtesy by the press last season when Celtic went out to Utrecht? And maybe i'm mistaken but has ally not been an assistant to the man with one name for 4 years and while doing so been picking the team and giving out tactics for the cup games? Hardly inexperienced So you see the same members of the sports media who gave the man with one name an easy time of it when they were beaten by Unirea or went out to Kaunas (i'm sure there's more) are the same ones who are going easy on Sally right now and are trying to get the celtic fans to turn on Neil Lennon and each other. They also know that we have an undeniable passion and spirit intertwined with love for our club that isn't built on bigotry or hatred and it is that that they are trying to break. In military terms think divide and conquer. If we as Celtic fans start to boo certain players or start to get over restless when a pass goes astray or when a shot at goal goes wide of the post we are playing right into the media's hands. The team needs our support. Our support brings confidence which will bring results. Do you not remember how the team under Tony Mowbray performed under constant criticism and pressure from fans? Now i know if Celtic don't win the league this season then questions have to be asked of the manager. And i know that at times Neil will make decisions that will make us question his wisdom (like playing sammy or big dan) but let's not be calling for his head after only 5 games. We have to stand shoulder to shoulder supporting the team and doing the huddle through the highs and the lows of the season. If we as a club unite and stand as one we can make Celtic Park a fortress once again,remember We Are Celtic Supporters and We Are Faithful Through And Through. {Ed007's Note - Great post mate, I agree with you re the media, that is why I don't read/respect any 'red tops'. You should leave a name/tag to help others identify you, it does help, you have made some very valid points.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I agree with a lot of your observations and we all know - and boycott - certain rags that are no friend of Celtic, however we have came off second best for three years when a well managed club would and should have taken full advantage of the situation of our rivals.
Celtic fans are unique and are proud of our team and reputation but when we feel we are being taken advantage of....

Hi Ed,i'm the mystery poster i thought i had entered my tag sorry m8.
Jinky Fan,i too feel the pain of finishing runners up to them. I'm not sure if you're pointing the finger at Neil Lennon or the board when you say a well managed club. If it's the board then i agree,we could have and should have buried them towards the end of Strachans time as manager but a real lack of investment at the right time has cost us dearly. I had hoped that the Mcgeady money would've been put back into the squad but the board thought better of that idea. We do have an exciting and young team though i feel we need a few more older and experienced heads in there too. Let's hope that Lawwell and Desmond get the cheque book out this before the transfer window closes. Hail Hail

What is with all this hostility towards the board this week? I honestly cant beleive that so called fans are taking potshots at the board Only last month some of these "fans" celebrated the announcement of extremely positive financial results and praised the board debt was reduced dramatically at a time when we werent winning any trophies and this is down to the way the club is run Fast forward a little and now the board are getting pelters after 2 consecutive defeats. Yes we do need a few new players in to add some more quality to the squad but this is not championship manager, we dont agree fee's and personal details in 5 minutes. We want good players at the right price and we are right not to be held to ransom. Transfer deals take time and it is this dilligence and desire to get the best deal available for us that has helped secure our financies.
Somebody please tell me how the board have not backed Lennon? They had faith in his eye for talent when when they paid £2.4 Million for Hooper from Scunthorpe, they had faith when he brought in Izaguirre from the Honduran Premeier League, they had faith when he brought in kayal from the Israeli League. Had anybody heard of these guys prior to coming to celtic and if you had the choice at the time would you have taken any of these players over some of the more established players we were linked with? The simple fact is (in my opinion) we dont need big name stars like bellamy or keane, we need players with hunger and desire to become part of our history. The board clearly trust Lennon's opinion and idea's for Celtic and will back him if there are deals to be done. We lost 2 games, deal with it and support EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in running the club.

Scotty Bhoy (Ed sorry if thats a bit of a rant, just dont understand the way some fans think) {Ed007's Note - Rants are always welcome Scotty, it's good to let off steam ;-)

Alrite guys 1st time poster.

Don't know if anyone saw Saturday's record about Hugh keevins & his 3 questions about Celtic? Anyway the one that sticks out the most was: how far have Celtic come since Tony Mowbray ?

(we all know the answer to that)

Think the guy as so anti Celtic it's unreal, even when u listen to the phone in he's just as bad.

Also all the talk of Lennon if/when he goes don't u think the perfect replacement would be that  manager Slaven bilic? (Croatian manger) said he was wanting the job after GS left but made no approach ?

And realistically who would be daft enough to sign samaras ?   {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site.}

is majstorovic's ban only in euroe now we are out? I HOPE NOT if he plays against st mirren we are done he is awful kick um out worst defender iv saw at arkhead for years but yet we allow better defenders to go out on loan?

i have been really impressed wit the way st mirren have passed the ball about this season and they are a lot more physical than last season.
if i was lennon my team would be
Forster
wilson wilson rogne matthews
brown kayal ki
McCourt
hooper stokes

a little bit diffrent from the plain 4-4-2 formation you will have brown and kayal 2 engines in middle of the park and very physical ki who can pick out amazing passes and McCourt who can take on 3or4 players and he also makes soo much space ofr others due to the fact defenders worry about him and 2 very attacking full backs anyone else agree with this?

Think we all need to face facts that Celtic and rangers are totally cack, Scottish football is shocking and I blame the English for paying all their players ridiculous wages No wonder we cant attract a decent player Celtic and rangers are too big clubs and should not be playing in Scotland, simple as I could not care about the rest of them cause they all need Celtic and rangers We need to get out of this farce of league as soon as

Hey - So I read am an avid reader of this site and although I have little access to rumours (or little interest in joining those who get a kick out of making stuff up) I feel the urge to respond to many of the pointless remarks people place on this page:

Firstly Feruz - Loyalty doesn't come into the equation when you're an upcoming football player. What about the players who leave school at 16 to work for the club on a full time basis, under the club's request, only to be shown the door at 19-20... so i dont buy what TB done for the bhoy should mean he should return the favor. Realistically though, in this boy's case, he may be in the club's plans but the important part of the decision is when Why play in an under 19 league in Scotland when you could move to a reserve league with established players or an opportunity to train with World Class players?

Secondly The Board - Bare in mind that Lennon has still to establish himself as not only the man for the job but also prove he has management ability. Why would any team take an unrecognized manager and throw money into him, possibly see his purchases wasted on the sidelines (aka Rasmussen, Hooiveld, Loovens, Samaras etc. etc.) and with Juarez, Majstorovic, Cha and Commons this season do we really wanna throw good money after bad, in hopes we can buy our way out of this situation.

To conclude - get off the back of anyone who does not make a genuine contribution to the 90min game. Lennon has picked a team that has underperformed and achieved little. It is the 11 men on the park and the coaching staff that are predominantly to blame here. Lennon has chosen Samaras ahead of Rasmussen to almost everyone's bewilderment as well as Majstorovic over Odea etc. He has signed a few stars for the team but it's about time he started laying down the gauntlet. I heard him state that he's fed up missing penalties... who selected the player to take them? Time is running out Lenny. You've brought alot back to the club but it's time you started being as ruthless as a manager as you were a player. Rasmussen must get his chance over samaras after recent performances and if not then explain these decisions... be as transparent as you asked the SFA to be {Ed007's Note - Welcome on to the site mate, some very good and valid points made.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Unfortunately I think you are right re Samaras. He appears to be a busted flush and Lenny needs to consider his options. Lenny is two defeats away from a crisis. I hope he realises how precarious his position is, warranted or not a loss or a draw this weekend will place him in a very serious position. I also worry that his backroom staff although they appear to have potential are untested and if they fail which they are doing at the moment it may not adversely affect their job opportunities. They have no reputations to protect and I feel as they are all so young in management terms they as a group may just be too close to the players

Agree0 Disagree0

What about kayal hooper ki izzaguire commons lenny didnt buy loovens on samaras lenny has been brilliant in the transfer market tou cant say he hasnt kayal hooper and izzaguire cost under 5 mil to buy and if sold on could make us 15 - 20 mil

Agree0 Disagree0

Rasmussen, Hooiveld, Loovens, Samaras Majstorovic not signed by Lenny.

Cha and Commons good buisness as far as I can see and Juarez is on lone to decent spanish side

not a bad record I'd say
