I'm sorry this is my first post but here goes. Abbeyman67 does not like Andy Walker. It has nothing to do with the 3 posts at least since new Glasgow derby - more that I pick up subtle hints lol. I agree Abbey he is a tosser, and it's a shame because I loved him - until Macca arrived - a proper striker, Celtic man and all round star. Maybe Andy never got over the fact that all Celtic fans gushed over Frank McAvennie when he signed and never stopped. Oh and by the way that was a pretty good result tonight. Hail Hail.

What did I do wrong naysayer? My first ever post got one like but the dislike hurt so much.

{Ed033's Note - Don't worry about the thumbs down, probably a troll that clicks on random thumbs down.

Thanks Ed033. In my head my post was at least a 3-0 rather than 1-1. Hail Hail.
Please tell me I don't have to explain the Love Street part to any young Celtic fans - although I love boring my son, Nephews etc with talk of the crowd going mental when Jim Stewart was looking around as if to say - I've got the ball so I know they didn't just score again. Albert Kidd!

ntcham - here's my take - he was trying too hard - not going for the easy pass - but at least he was trying / taking a risk - the old risk reward thing - and then that pass to set KT away was sublime.

his worse pass was just after that - cross field ball to lustig that even eusain bolt wouldn't have reached!

Agree5 Disagree0

28 Sep 2017 08:01:30
First half he was awful but a thought lustig also had a few wayward passes and headers.

LS-86 my dad and I were just to the right behind the St Mirren Keeper, and as you say when the 1st goal went in we went nuts and the keeper had no idea what was going on. He was looking to see if there was some sort of foul, he looked at the linesman, the ref. Brilliant day all round
I get shivers when I even think of that day

Digibanger, I think you’re spot on regarding Ntcham. Yes it wasn’t his greatest half, but he never shied away from getting the ball and always up for it. Perhaps a wee bit too fancy at times, but if one or two of them came off then it’s a different story. His pass for the goal was outstanding, but it was also the first bit of proper movement we’d had.

I think he’s different class and if he continues to progress then we have in my opinion, the best midfielder since Wanyama. Hopefully we keep him for a season or two before Southampton sign him 😂😂😂.

That LS game keeps raring it's head on here and I like that first ever game I was allowed to go to on my own as a raw thirteen year old as a sole result of being a paisley bhoy whose family member stayed three streets away lol.

28 Sep 2017 13:38:05
geraldiho - I also think he may have been TOLD that was his job by BR.

"Scott you do your thing but be defensively minded - keep it simple, easy passes - break up play, play they ball back, when they press drop into defence.

Olivier - you do your thing but as scott is defensively minded - you be offensively minded - take risks, try threaded balls, play the ball forward, when they have the ball find a hole and wait for the ball to play forward! "

if it was a tactic by br - it was genius and it worked.

Wasn't it great to get a decent referee and a rub of the green tonight something we've not had for a long time . Not forgetting an accomplished performance and not really coming out of 2nd gear long may it continue in Europe 👍.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

28 Sep 2017 05:51:17
Ntcham poor up until the first goal which seemed to settle him then after that i thought he was excellent. CH pairing 10/ 10 also, how many times have we been able to say that in Europe lol.

I personally don't think Celtic played too well tonight. They looked nervous and too many passes went astray. 2nd half we improved though. But the most important thing is we took our chances when they came. Our defence was solid. Over the moon.

Does anyone think we could get a result from Bayern their brilliant but can concede goals specially at paradisewhats your thoughts x.

Agree6 Disagree1

28 Sep 2017 09:37:49
Brilliant result. I think when we really believe we should be there the players won't be as nervous and play the way they can.

Simple passes being fecked up down to nerves. This result will give them that extra assurance. It will be a bridge too far to edge out Bayern but for me, Europa was the target and we have done that. Brilliant.

Spending a bit more of the money we are making on a couple of players and we take another step up.

I sent a text to my bluenose pal last night, spreading the joy. I haven't heard back from him. I hope he's alright. :)

Boyata absolutely outstanding along with jozo ntcham grew into game after awful start and instrumental in 2 goals the rest were very goid and sinclair always liable ro get u a goal. Oh and btw we lose 5 against psg and get slaughtered and now they've taken 3 off bayern who've spent funny money go figure.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

27 Sep 2017 22:37:59
Totally agree with you Mally.

I'm not Boyata's biggest fan, although he has improved. However, I thought tonight was his best game in a Celtic jersey.

Great result for the Bhoys tonight, absolutely ecstatic with that result and performance.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Sep 2017 00:26:58
I really think Bayern are vulnerable we were hopeless at times tonight, it was a real scrappy game but once we settled and started playing the Celtic way with confidence, maybe talking with my heart and little cider but wee have the ability wee roberts never had the game he usually has it felt like he was trying to hard never seen too much off the ball till it matttered tho (I’m no manager btw) but it was a fantastic result proud of the Bhoys! think we could do more damage if we play at our best! Great to support the Bhoys x.

I really enjoyed the game tonight and it exceeded my expectations (I'm too drunk to be using those words) I recently watched a video of the Partizan game at Parkhead and it rammed home how punishing Europe can be. Under Rodgers however we have the most amazing manager in my lifetime (Although they all deserve credit) and he will see us through the next few years that could see awesome Progres. Tee Hee. Hail Hail.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Sep 2017 21:37:46
I told you all earlier we should be looking for a win tonight! By far one of the best away performances I've ever seen from Celtic in Europe, especially defensively. At the end of the day they're 7th in the league for a reason and we put them to the sword. Let's enjoy this one boys!

Thought we where poor for majority of the game but for once things went our way

Just hope the players realise they are good at this level and improve for Bayern.

{Ed007's Note - I said that to the Mrs, Kev about us playing better in games and losing.}

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Sep 2017 22:26:45
Just listened to it on the radio, and there was some similarities with the PSG game that I noticed, one was all the misplaced passes, now after the PSG game, this was explained by the PSG (BARCELONA, or any other big team) , worshippers, that is because the opposition is so good, they think, move, anticipate so fast, that the ordinary Celtic players just can't compete, well I thought, think, that that is a lot of crap, it is because Celtic were playing badly, the other thing that came across on the radio was that Ntcham made a lot of misplaced passed, he did the same against PSG, Ntcham is only twenty one, I think he can't handle the atmosphere of these big occasions just yet, when he makes a lot of misplaced passes in the first ten or so minutes, it starts of a nervousness in the team, he did the same against PSG, I think he is a very talented player, but I think maybe he should be used as a substitute in these big games, until he can match his talent to his confidence, I would have played Armstrong instead, but having said all that, I think now, the target should be second place, Bayern are an ageing side, and if Celtic click, they can take points of the Germans, home and away.

Agree2 Disagree1

27 Sep 2017 22:43:14
While N'cham was nervous at start of game and misplaced a few passes, I thought he grew in confidence as the game went on and some of his passing was top drawer.

He is certainly a talented player and will no doubt improve as he has not played a lot of first team football and is still learning.

I think he will be a great signing for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Sep 2017 22:49:37
We won 3-0 but you would have selected a different team aindoh? Really? Doh.

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Sep 2017 23:17:57
Well Timtam, maybe it came across different on the radio, did you watch it?, did we play well?, was there a lot of misplaced passes?, well I suppose you are right, as long as the opposition make a few mistakes, and we get the result, it doesn't really matter how we play, when they have given two goals away, and we are passing it about good style, and they're confidence is shot, heyho, doh as well, you must be right,

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Sep 2017 23:29:58
I also think Ntcham, will turn out to be a great signing, eventually.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Sep 2017 01:05:46
The lad grew into the game and will be some player under Rodgers.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Sep 2017 09:47:57
Ntcham was atrocious until he made that pass. His confidence was shot. He came on and credit to him but uf Armstrong had been fit he would have been hooked.

Hopefully he settles down and starts to believe in himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Sep 2017 20:08:54
Ntcham needs hooked already he's been gash such a struggle to watch.

If PSG take 3 4 or 5 of Bayern tonight I wonder if certain members of the press might re think their comments on our defeat.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Never mind the press, will some of our own fans rethink theirs?}

27 Sep 2017 22:05:56
Ed your right, makeshift back 3/ 4, we were under strength they were nothing short of brilliant, and we gave them an og.
Very proud tonight, this is one of the best Celtic sides I've seen in my 54 years, everyone needs to be positive and enjoy this time.

Very proud.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - For me we're always going to be chasing our tails against your PSGs, Barca, Madrid, Chelsea, Utd etc etc and we have to be realistic about it when we do play them. You'll get the odd upset in a one off game but there's no shame in getting pumped by this PSG team. I said at the time that I wasn't embarrassed at the result but I was disappointed in the performance.}

27 Sep 2017 22:28:30
Would agree, and am sure we won't be the only team that gets pumped by that PSG team.
Absolutely no shame for our boys that night and definitely not tonight.
It's an adventure, let's see what we can do in Munich.

I've got a T8V box and swear by it but it's just when it comes to live football etc it can be a bit erratic everything else is top notch films tv shows are excellent but it's just live showings that are annoying with buffering etc . I would still recommend it though . It is a standalone box from @droidsticks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I still use my T8 but I'm hoping to get an Nvidia Shield soonish more for playing retro video games but I think the Mag256 is the best vakue box just now. That's definitely something for Welshy though.}

Guys having a wee flutter on CL games tonight, NOT on Celtic game and defineately NOT as big as the suit lol
I think PSG-Bayern will be tasty so get on a penalty 3/ 1
ordering off 3/ 1
Barcelona penalty 9/ 4 (Barca ALWAYS get a penalty)
On the goalscorers market all the usual suspects SHOULD score tonight
Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe, Lewandowski, if you can get them on multiple bets do so.
other markets to look at are BTTS and over 2.5 goals
Take your pick what bets to place.

Really hope the hoops go all out for the win tonight which would give us a great chance of third spot. Agree2 Disagree3

27 Sep 2017 09:44:30
Guys I said same thing last week when some of my Tim pals were going on about Anderlecht's poor form, we will be in for a tough 90 minutes and it will be just our luck for that player we wanted Onyeroku to score. I will take 1-1 now.

Agree2 Disagree3

27 Sep 2017 09:54:48
I would bite you hand off for a point lads! Aye they've had a dodgey start to there league season but they'r still a quality team! I'm looking for a good solid performance tonite, after the nightmare we had in the first game! Make ourselves hard to beat and build from there! Looking forward to the game as always, but expecting a tough nite!

Agree2 Disagree3

27 Sep 2017 10:30:28
A point would be great, they have plenty to offer that will worry us, I do not think the bonus thing will be any incentive and they have the 2 midfielders available after injury/ suspension, plus there is the normal form boost after sacking the manager.
A Trivia point, on this day in 1956 the heaviest defeat in European club competition, a 10-1 victory was inflicted by Man Utd on Anderlect FC.
COYBIG.

Agree2 Disagree3

27 Sep 2017 11:42:21
They're a tough side regardless of form but this is the CL. We should really be looking to get a point in Belgium and all three at home to them to make any sort of stamp on the tournament and hopefully get us into third spot.

Agree1 Disagree2

27 Sep 2017 12:25:34
We should be looking for nothing less than a win tonight! A draw wouldn't be too bad but they're way off form so we really need to try and strike while the iron's hot as there are no guarantees we'll take 3 points at home if they find some form by then.

Agree2 Disagree2

27 Sep 2017 13:06:57
I think we are getting a draw all day long very confident of that.

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Sep 2017 13:07:19
As we know the CL at this level is light years ahead of any opposition we face domestically and our defence will be tested yet again by a much better class of player.
It's easy to be over-confident as this is not a top class team, but, as the under-dog pot four side we have to be at our best all over the pitch to get anything in the CL groups.
