Is there any chance we could get Seedorf? I know his wages may be a stumbling block, but do you think it could happen?

-Troup

Believable0 Unbelievable4

That's exactly what I was thinking, he's free and he's still some player - he's exactly what we need!

Surely salary should not be a problem for a 36 year old!

Thought stamm was brilliant still strong and fill of energy anyone know if he still plays
Hobbybhoy {Ed007's Note - Stam retired in 2007, he is pushing 40 now and works as a scout for Man Utd.}

watching soccer aid and just text in a couple of donations for those kids who are a lot less fortunate than ours ,i know we are a giving club and unicef is a great cause so if you can ghuys and ghals do your bit. it got me thinking what about the poor kids i this country , one kid in particular, babybear.. craig his or her dad is on our pages all the time, i am appealling to craig . i know by what you post on here you are a really decent guy ,well grounded, fair and magnamimous . so craig one day babybear will say ''dad what did my team die of '' and you will say embarrassment son/hen embarrassment.. you know that rangers { like titanic }are sinking fast so do yourself and the child a favour , put him/her into the lifeboat and give it an all mighty shove towards the east end of glasgow so he/she can jump aboard the good ship celtic . i promise you good decent people like yourselves would be made welcome. it's not too late for you either, and because of the amount of time your on our pages , i think you quite like us already. so come on craig do your bit to end cruelty to children and bring babybear up as a wee hoop..bb

The ebt's only came into place at rangers in 2001 so we can't say they cheated to any titles before then. Slate me if you want but I'm just being honest.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Aye but if u remember murray bought the club with the banks money and all the players he bought were from the bank too and their wages, so they have cheated ever since murray took over.
Conor67

Agree6 Disagree2

The SPL came into force in 1998 and as such the SPL will not investigate anything prior to this date.

There are all sorts of rumours about prior to 2001, but unless matters are investigated and proven, then your quite right, it would be wrong to categorically claim cheating occured.

Channel 4 have kindly broke it down for you...I'm sure they're just being 'honest' as well :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

Since when was borrowing money cheating? Manchester UTD have much greater debts, are they cheating?

TTG

Agree1 Disagree4

TTG...According to the Scottish Football Association's registration rules, payments received by a player solely relating to his playing activities must be fully recorded and declared, otherwise the player has been improperly registered.

If a player is deemed to be improperly registered, the norm is for his team to forfeit any match in which he has participated.

You could maybe google Marseilles around 1994 and see what happened to them when financial irregularities (and match fixing) were found....

Not playing by the rules is what some would call cheating. Mrs E

Agree5 Disagree1

Mrs E,

I understand that. Your response had no relevance to my question. I simply asked how borrowing money is a form of cheating?

Conor67 is of the belief that borrowing money from the bank to fund something is cheating. I seriously hope this guy hasn't got any bank loans or overdrafts as he will be a "cheat".

TTG

Agree1 Disagree3

Your comparison to teams like Man Utd don't compare...they can 'service' their loans but for a long time its been obvious rangers couldn't and were living way beyond their means.

Quite possibly if they hadn't been, the need for EBT's to be improperly used might not have came about. So really you could 'blame' the overdraft, bank loans etc for the need to use this scheme.

Will any EPL teams' 'debt's' make them go down the financial irregularities route ?

Mrs E

Agree3 Disagree1

It is wrong to say borrowing from the bank is cheating. it looks as if thats where it all began though, living outside their means became a necessity and when the borrowing became untenable they had to use ebt payments to keep up with celtic who had wrong footed rangers by building a 60,000 seat stadium and filling it. that part is simple economics. a few people including myself couldnt see where the money was coming from, the suspicions of some kind of wrongdoing were always there, some very odd transfer deals where rangers seemed to do very well. now we can see how unscrupulous they were i wouldnt put anything past them.

Agree2 Disagree0

A loan is when u borrow money and then give it back so when u borrow money and dont give it back then its called fraud and cheating. SIMPLES!
Conor67

Agree5 Disagree0

Borrowing from the bank is not cheating and it's still to be determined if the use of EBT's to avoid tax is cheating. However, what is perfectly clear, at this point at least, is that we failed to register players properly with the SFA. As much as it pains me to admit it, it's clear we have cheated and we've been cheating for as long as those EBT's were in place. As a Ger's supporter, it shames me and I'd much rather we took it on the chin than get away on technicality's

Agree0 Disagree2

Its only borrowing when you intend to pay it back , if you dont intend to pay it back (ie Rangers) it is not only cheating , its stealing !!

I dont like that wee guy ever since he wore a rankers top and said blue is the colour!.Disgrace after all celtic and tommy burns done for that lad.
Conor67

Agree6 Disagree1

It was such a dumb move because i think he would have had a game or two this year and mabye more next if he stayed. plus our young team are playing in prestige tournaments.... but he let tommy burns down and i was wondering if he was out of a club would Celtic bring him back or would that brigde be burnt? but with hs agent and the money im sure he thinks he is a super star and happy.

With all the goings on at Rangers and the links between so many of these companies are we looking at the Masons or something similar at work......? or just pure greed {Ed007's Note - The Illuminati.......some form of NWO?}

Paradise it always is :-)

'Moreover, in that summer, the legacy that McCann would leave Celtic when selling up his stakeholding the following year was cast in bricks in mortar as stadium rebuild was completed. With a 60,000 capacity, it ensured a revenue advantage over Rangers, whose Ibrox home housed 50,000. Only borrowing or fresh investment could allow Rangers to keep pace'

Oh and borrow they did and the ahem other thing..

Just some interesting news from Darlington.

Darlington have been relegated four divisions to the Northern League Division One after failing to pay back club debts.

The Football Association ruled on Friday that the side would be demoted after being unable to reach a Creditors Voluntary Agreement.

After going into administration last season, the DFC 1883 Limited group bought assets from Darlington FC 2009 Limited to secure the club's future.

"The focus now will be to get the football club back up through the leagues as quickly as possible," read a DFC 1883 statement.

Darlington were relegated from the Blue Square Bet Premier last season.

Check this out from the Rangers page, .

Gonna get stick for this one but here goes

Why dont celtic and rangers fans combine to buy the rangers brand then try to merge both rangers and celtic into one club, one super club with viewing figures through the roof for every match shown on tv for strips sold worldwide for sheer pulling power from a potential fanbase of 1 million local fans. We would win the league at a canter every year and if we get our coeffecient back up to a level where winning the league gets you into europe i think we could make this super club a power in europe. Prove to the english we are not a small minded bigot polluted backwater and we may actually get better than their clubs. But really thats what we are and why this would never happen.
