It is up at the end of the season as far as I am aware.

Is it true he rejected a contract offer?

Be interesting to see how things pan out in the last few days of the window. Surely Morgan and Hendry are for the off, at least on loan? Right back must be the priority in terms of incomings. I’d hope we’ve at least had a look at Kevin Ruegg and Jordan Lotomba from the Swiss League. Hoping for a signing that shows a bit of ambition.

Thought both would've been off by now. Only (slight) concern I would have loaning Morgan to Aberdeen is they're the side most likely to win 7/ 8 on the bounce and to put some pressure on us. Would prefer them to go down south that would also preserve or increase their transfer value if they don't make the grade for Celtic.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mickey Johnston loaned out as well to get a proper string of games under his belt considering how many players we now have competing for that position. Hopefully come back stronger for when the loans expire.

He seems to be getting a bit of game time now tompo, a think he'll learn more being in and around the first team than he would playing with inferior players.

We're well covered for cbs until the summer then we need to do something. but if we could get a quality rb in just now ad be happy with this window for a change.

Just saw the pitch invasion at Livingston today, is that Sevco winning the league for the 4th time this season?
But on a serious note, when is the SFA/ SPFL going to do something about this? Is this not the 3rd or 4th time this season alone that the fans from this club have invaded the pitch.
Where is the statements from Scottish Police?
When the Celtic players were applauding our fans PC Plod were quick with a statement claiming it was Celtic's fault when these morons trampled there own disabled fans.
I won't hold my breath on any statements or action being taken.

They really are an utter embarrassment! They don’t even see the fact the'yre an absolute laughing stock! This is the same mob who like u said had a go at our players for walking round a pitch applauding! A pitch invasion for beating Livingston! Small club mentality rite enough! Make it all the sweeter when number 8 is delivered!

Also, seen there was no place in the team for the 2 EPL superstars! Spending funny money they don’t have on these 2 and they don’t even play! And their half witted support wonder why the old club died! Hopefully this comedy act are finally put out the game for good ASAP!

Seen the fannys invading the pitch like they’d beat Barcelona. Club must be proud of themselves.

I feel a bit sorry for The rangers, well I don't really, they are paying out huge wages for Davies and Defoe, but if they play them, it disrupts the whole team, that means they can sit them on the subs bench, and let them collect, what must be the two highest wages in Scottish football, or play them, and risk losing points, it will be interesting to see what they do.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2019 21:58:51
I think what they'll do is try and punt el gruffalo before the deadline and blame the rest of the league for "targeting" him. One things for sure they'll swallow whatever narrative they are given.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 02:28:54
The thing is not a word about the pitch invasion will be uttered by the Press, The Plod or the SFA/ SPFL but can you imagine the outcry if our fans did the same in even one match.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2019 06:47:03
The annual pitch invasion after every win by that mob needs halted and likes already been said, it’ll be interesting to see what the SFA/ SPFL and police Scotland have to say on the matter. Secco weren’t slow in issuing a statement being concerned about the safety of they’re fans when the Celtic team walked around Celtic Park applauding our fans. They can’t even blame it on the youth as half of those on the pitch were grown men. Absolutely embarrassing, never seen such a reaction to 3 points against Livingston you ANY team.

It's their supporters I don't like. Vile disgusting trouble makers who could start a fight in an empty room.

When they were playing Dumbarton away in championship they came into our celtic club before game and we made them welcome. Then unprovoked tried to attack older members for nothing. They were suitably restrained.

27 Jan 2019 16:52:47
Not me dislike them as much as any club in the world.

27 Jan 2019 17:12:04
Nah Kev I don’t care for them much either I remember being at there ground when we had Hartley and Co and we either drew or lost and the Hibs fans were jumping for joy as it cost us the league. Haven’t liked them since I don’t care much for any other Scottish team if I’m honest.

27 Jan 2019 13:27:42
Mally not a lot of competition in the last 20 years for best right back but Lustig must be the longest to have held the position and I thought Adam Matthews wasn’t a bad player and could still do a turn for us.

27 Jan 2019 13:31:04
Agree jfp Mathews was decent wee bit injury prone and did big tam no play more as a lb or cb.

During BR's post match interview he was asked if he expected any further business to be done. His reply was "That's the plan" but he wasn't sure whether it would get over the line or not. I'd imagine it's quite late in the day to still be considering brand new targets so it could be a case of waiting on a player or club to mull over their options and give the green light.

Still think the problem lies with the size of the squad at present; so when you have a plethora of defenders like we have in :- Gamboa, Ralston, Lustig, Boyata. Simunovic, Ajer, Benkovic, Compper, Izzy, Miller, KT and Hendry; it's obvious we need to get-shot of a few or at least loan some out - before we BR can ad who he wants?

This Maryan Shved fella, had a look at him on youtube and even though you know it'll only show the best bits he does look flippin decent.
Very quick and has a good eye for goal. It appears that we'll be sending him out somewhere on loan to begin with but he could potentially be a real player for us at some point. HH.

Never looked at that rag (or any other tabloid) in over 30 years and can't understand any Celtic supporter buying that comic.
The Scottish media have always had an open anti-Celtic agenda; ranging from mischief making, malicious gossip on the eve of big games, fictitious speculation, tying us in with all things Sevco and of course the continuing fallacy of TRIFC 2012 being the 'same club'

Totally agree with your comments on the papers OAB but I do think it looks like Rodgers isn't being backed/ trusted with transfer funds. There may be a reason why that we don't know about but a manager of Rodgers calibre won't hang around too long under those circumstances.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2019 12:43:57
Not sure about the accuracy of the GBs banner yesterday. If it’s not BR that’s identifying players then it’s possibly Lee Congerton that’s not trusted. BR has been backed but I wouldn’t trust whoever has been responsible for our signings to date with big money either even if that is BR.

Very strange comment from BR that 'Lee Congerton is doing a great job but he identifies players Celtic can’t sign'. Eh? A great job would surely be identifying talent we can afford. I could identify talent we can’t. Also unsure if big budgets is what floats BRs boat. He’s on record as saying he could win trophies with Barcelona but that wouldn’t make him a good manager.

I think it’s developing players that does it for BR. Time will tell if he’s disillusioned at feeling he’s not being sufficiently backed financially. The six month loan deals could be simply that the immediate focus is on wining the league this year and signing Weah and Burke will undoubtedly go a long way to ensuring that is achieved. Or it could be a lack of faith in those responsible for recruitment at the club and an indication that BR or others are not here for the long haul.

Or it could be that better players than we’ve got just simply couldn’t be found in the January transfer window. I don’t think its short sightedness on the boards part as the one thing that is beyond doubt is that the club is run on a sound financial business basis.

Greenockbhoy, paying for a ticket (or a season ticket) entitles you to nothing more than a seat in the stadium. If you think that supporting Celtic is about success, you don’t get it. I feel privileged to have been able to support the club since I was a child and I’ve never felt that I was entitled to demand success.

However, my point was that everyone is now wetting their pants about BR leaving because a couple of lazy Scottish ‘journalists’ have created a story out of nothing. It’s the same pish they were trotting out in the summer and once again our gullible supporters are falling for it.
