There's a hilarious scene in it that doesn't hold back and given they aren't known for their sense of humour, I can't imagine it'll go down well. In such circumstances, a boycott is usually their go to.

In saying that, they also lack self awareness so maybe it'll go over their heads. If not, they'll no doubt be blaming Peter Lawwell.

must be something to do with hibees?

{Ed007's Note - I'm guessing something to do with an Orange Hall. Begbie's boy is played by a local Hamilton lad that goes to school and drama with my neice so I've been reading all the press releases she sends me and I was noticedTom Urie lost a shed of weight and plays a bouncer at an LOL.}

I have been thinking about a replacement Goal keeper if Gordon Goes!
Tim Krul Anyone? Still just 28! Decent keeper!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - That's a decent shout, Gaz btw. He is unhappy on loan at Ajax but Newcastle don't want/need him back there. Dermot and Mike Ashley could easily sort it out over one of their cosy dinner meetings at Sandy Lanes. ;-)

27 Jan 2017 21:38:51
would take Krul in a heart beat, very good keeper

Anyone but Doris, if he's in goal for rest of season we can kiss goodbye to the Scottish cup and the treble

28 Jan 2017 00:21:32
Gordon is a top class goalie, sure he makes mistakes, but if you look at some of the english international goalies over the years, they all make big blunders, some of them much more than Gordon, if he is sold. it must. be for top wack,

This Onyekuru transfer has been a joke.
Few and edd have said he is dissruptive. Awol at the last game as well if I read right!
I don't really blame him. If all is to be believed he has numerous agents and owners and the media are fishing for any quote from anyone connected to him. Most are pushing the lad pillar to post. He hasn't handled it well and has given a running cometary again showing immaturity His mate Osaze Odemwingie chipping telling him to come to just to add to the nonsense. If his quotes are genuine I'd say he is in a bit of a bad position. If he is actively and knowingly part of this pr circus and he may well be as he will earn a few Β£ from moving. I'd dodge him .

What are your thoughts on next season, after winning the treble and using Leicester city as a comparison.

I think he ment in the champions league as they got through there group unbeaten

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:46:39
We have a strong enough squad to win the treble without Gordon or any more signings, the question should be are we strong enough to reach the group stages of Cl as we currently are?
If not where would you like to strengthen, Then what would we need to get into the last 16 of CL. Lots of people question GG desision making under the pressure of CL is that now behind him or is it still an underlying problem? We also look better in Europe when we have a pacey central defender something we severely lack. We can score goals against anyone but cannot stop the opposition scoring.

27 Jan 2017 17:43:52
Just curious troops. What positions do u think we need to improve on to go further than the group stages of CL? I know domestically we have a superior squad. But what do we REALLY need to go further in Europe?

Goalkeeper, right back and another nippy winger if Roberts goes back to City.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:18:47
Brendan Rodgers rates Craig Gordon don't know a keeper without faults but the big man for me should stay for a few years yet we're going for a record on Sunday you don't do that with a bad keeper get off the mans back and

Agree2 Disagree1

27 Jan 2017 18:51:29
We've got the right manager I believe but we need a Henrik Larsson up front a Paul McStay in central midfield and a Paul Elliot commanding the box is central defence. Find all three and I'll die a happy man! πŸ€

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 19:54:27
We need more than a few of good quality still for cover I'd say. If the starters are all fit I'd still want a tall cf option or another am that could do it late in a game. The biggest thing for me is a solid defensive rw. When we are under the cosh against the better sides we don't have that.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 22:04:32
Number 10 priority . center back baldy mould but bit more mobile and quick . winger to replace Roberts . right back and another quick striker. think if rodgers got those in by summer and they were sinclair and dumbele quality wed be a force to reckon with.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2017 00:05:40
@jfp88 - I've found them! Henrik's in Sweden, Paul's in Australia and Elliot's in London. Now don't be going and doing anything stupid, there's still plenty of time for you on this Earth.

27 Jan 2017 17:10:09
Ed, do u see any new arrivals coming before the window shuts? I would have thought BR would want to bed some new faces in before next seasons CL qualifiers

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - January's always difficult to sign players but I'm hopefully confident that there will be someone brought in before the window closes. There's no point signing players just for the sake of it, we've already got a massive squad with plenty of mediocre players that need to be moved on.}

27 Jan 2017 19:06:01
Any word on James mc carthy ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Celtic and Newcastle are the two options on the table - WBA signed Livermore after getting tired of Everton's stalling on making a decision - and there's a slim chance of Everton trying to use him in part of a deal to get Kone from Sunderland which I can't see happening as I doubt McCarthy wants to get involved in a relegation battle that they already look like losing.}

27 Jan 2017 15:45:48
As you know Ed always been one of the few in the CG corner

How much is the offer for him?

Could be tempted to take it for a 34 year old πŸ‘

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I heard the bid made this morning was actually Β£2.5m but I'm swithering whether to believe that. }

27 Jan 2017 16:02:33
Ooft Ed, if it is at that level I would take it all day long!

You must be of that train of thought too eh?

Bring in the giant Nordic keeper at man city or let Leo loose

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Any other time I'd be happy to see him go but I'd want more Β£ for him and it leaves us very weak in the GK department. De Vries for the rest of season worries me for the SC and Bailley looks even worse. Is Fasan up to it? I know you've went on about him for a while but he's 22 now and out of contract in the summer and I've not heard anything about him getting a new deal. If Chelsea had made their move earlier in the window giving us time to get a replacement in I'd be all for it, but I really want this Treble and Gordon's our best GK to help with that.}

27 Jan 2017 16:41:52
Β£2.5M for a quality international goakeeper that's played at the highest level and went for Β£9M how long ago? 10 years? Are we having a laugh? As I said the other day in my (long) time watching the Hoops apart from Boruc and Forster we've never had much better. I rate him highly as a shot stopper the odd moment of madness aside. De Vries looks to goalkeeping what feckn Union Jack is to logic and reason! πŸ€

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 16:42:33
Im with you on this one Ed. Too ate to shop around and what we currently have in the back up store won't do it. I have always liked CG but as a reactive stopper. He does not control the box and stands on line waiting for shots. 2.5 - 3 million would be great but sounds like Chelsea are in a wee bind and like us in SPL want to finish the job in EPL

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Man City paid about Β£15 million for 33/34 year old Claudio Bravo and Gordon's a better 'keeper than him. We should be looking at Β£5/6 million or hunt them. This is Chelsea, why should we accept a paltry offer for an important first-team player?}

27 Jan 2017 17:04:47
ED007 what I am worried about if Celtic say no how Gordon will react. I heard he wanted to talk to Chelsea and you can bet they will offer him at least double what we can pay, is it fair to keep him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yes, he's under contract to us and it would be pretty low if he put in a transfer request 4 days before the window closes. The Club took a huge risk in signing him at a time when other clubs wouldn't touch him and he could have quit the game and earned a packet from the insurance payout, where would we have been if he had broke down that September?
The Club, coaches, managers and plenty of the fans have shown faith in him and he should show them some of the same loyalty.
Do you think Gordon will play on Sunday, Tim? Regardless of what happens I can't see Rodgers thinking he's in the right frame of mind.}

27 Jan 2017 17:13:53
I look forward to the day the arse falls out the EPL. Personally it bores the bollocks right off me and would watch Albion Rovers before Aston Villa (the pies are feckn better) . Arrogant bams with a very much over rated opinion of their league. Italian, German, Spanish everybody's time comes and go's. Their national team is pants because the Engerland manager is limited to choosing circa 38% of EPL players. Feck them and we should shaft Chelsea for Craig Gordon if they want them. Β£2.5 (feckn) million. Bastards. Why don't we throw in a free haggis and bottle of whisky. Feck me gently. πŸ€

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Offer them Gordon and Β£3/4 million for Begovic and see what they say.}

27 Jan 2017 17:32:40
If they let Fasan go it will be the biggest error since Shay Given IMO I did say that with BR banging on about a keeper kicking and playing that that was LF's biggest weakness his kicking

The lad is quality and saved his team time and again in that EDL keepers are usually but not always later bloomers Ed πŸ‘

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You'd have thought he's have at least made the bench by now though, there seems more of a buzz around 18 year old Ross Doohan than Fasan.}

27 Jan 2017 17:53:03
Good point ED007 it depends how strong the relationship is between Brendan and Gordon, maybe the manager has said, stay until the summer, win the treble with us and then if another offer comes in Celtic will consider it. After all if Chelsea are looking at Gordon other clubs will be too.
And to answer your question, yes I think he will play on Sunday after clear the air talks like above.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Why are you worrying about how he will react then?}

27 Jan 2017 18:00:30
That's a great idea about Begovic. I agree with you and TinyTim, Ed that we're late in the day now. If somebody had of told me Chelsea would be in for Gordon as well at the start of the window 😣

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If they want to chance their arm we might as well too lol.}

27 Jan 2017 18:09:20
Or Ed / JT Begovic goes to Bournemouth / CG goes to Chelsea and we bring the holy 1 back from Bournemouth? πŸ˜πŸ‘

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Why would you want him back, remember his final season when he couldn't be arsed? Thanks for the memories Artur but no thanks.}

27 Jan 2017 18:10:11
I'm totally in the CG camp and can't understand why some Celtic fans think taking Β£3M for him is good business! Who would we replace him with for that kind of money? As Ed had said Man City paid Β£15M for Bravo and he is useless! Now nobody is saying he is without faults but we have seen 2 of our old favourites Boruc and Forster make howlers this season as well as DeGea I can't remember CG making these kind of glaring errors this year! A bit too quick off his line a couple of times which he got away with! All I'm saying is be careful what you wish for! When DDV came in I can't remember him actually making a save!

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:34:03
I'm wae you Martin πŸ€

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:37:47
I know it would be a shock to PL, but we could always put something towards his replacement, Martin.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:40:51
He'll stay he's worked to hard to go and b a number 2 and I know the money's better but he'll be doing OK money wise with us, and it puts him In a strong negotiating position come contract talks

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 18:51:44
Jim Tim, I'm all for investing in the team! It's just pointless spending millions on a new keeper when we have in my opinion a very good keeper as it is! Unless you are going to look at someone like Joe Hart who is probably out of our price range anyway! And is also prone to the howler! I would rather use the money to try and get Paddy Roberts on a permanent contract!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 20:18:01
The whole saga baffles me. They don't want a no1, ok I understand that but CG? I honestly didn't think we would earn a dime from him when he joined. I maintain and it has been shown that he doesn't have the heart to run into a 50/ 50 (in a fair tackle) or make the right decision to avoid it. For me that blacklists him.
Can't belive I'm saying this but I'd keep him. The whole thing for me reopens the wound of not sorting out a keeper in the summer. Chealsea could of had our No2 and we could of had a few quid.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 20:50:11
Ed I watch a lot of city games, have to say Claudio Bravo is one of the worst keepers I've ever seen. He was signed to be a ball playing gk, Gordon is better at that aspect too! Not his biggest fan but surely worth at least 5m.

Get the holy goalie back, even just to wind the tribute act up?

Have you seen much of Adrian? If so, is he any good?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've not seen that much of Adrian so I don't know mate.}

27 Jan 2017 20:58:41
Cheers bud, sure if we get linked with him there will be a YouTube video created to make him look like Casillas!

Do you think there is confidence within the club on De Vries? Seems to have been swept aside, expected him to play in the cup games tbh, but they must not trust him for that, or Brendan wants to simply win it all

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I have no doubts that De Vries was brought in to replace Gordon but showed he wasn't up to the job.}

27 Jan 2017 15:01:26
Ed what have you heard regarding the possible signing of Hasan Ali Kaldirim

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Celtic enquired about Hasan Ali Kaldirim during the summer but were told by Fenerbahce that he wasn't for sale and they were hopeful he would sign a contract extension. That hasn't happened and his contract expires at the end of the season.
I said the other week I'd be surprised if we signed him during this window but we might possibly sign him on a pre-contract for the summer which would tie in with Izaguirre's contract expiring.
It could also just be a regurgitated story from the summer.
As far as I know the talk of any West Ham interest is premature. A representative of Fenerbahce has been in the UK since Wednesday and although I don't know why, I do know he hasn't met with anyone from West Ham - yet.}

27 Jan 2017 14:45:55
With the current team equaling the lions unbeaten domestic run, is that also the Scottish record or even British?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Remember this record is only from the start of the season. In England the record for this is 11 matches held by Tottenham Hotspur for the old First Division, 1960-61.

Celtic hold the British record and 3rd overall in Europe for the the longest unbeaten run of 62 matches (1915–17) Celtic established a British record for an unbeaten sequence of 62 matches between November 1915 and April 1917, including two games in a day, played against Raith Rovers and Motherwell.}

27 Jan 2017 18:01:39

{Ed007's Note - I had to look it up lol My memory isn't THAT good.}

27 Jan 2017 07:31:49
With news that The player we are after Henry Onyekuru went AWOL last night and refused to even take his place on the bench for his club, is this a guy we want at Celtic? He may be talented but he looks like he has the personality of a player like Saido Berahino? What if Celtic sign him and does well and a offer comes in for big bucks? Is he going to throw the dummy out the pram again to get his move? Can't stand players like that. There are certain ways to conduct yourself if wanting a transfer but refusing to play for your club isn't one of them imo. HH.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

27 Jan 2017 09:42:05
When you read his comments he says that the club are trying to force him to change agents and move to CSKA so if that's true then you can understand his position. He's not in a huff because they won't sell him it's because they're trying to sacrifice his career to make themselves more money.

Agree3 Disagree2

27 Jan 2017 10:15:48
I'm on the fence. It's the wrong way to go about it, and he might well do it to us should he sign. Kev makes a good point though.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 10:50:30
I think the young mans in a tight position and don't blame him for his actions tbh. Can you imagine being 19, foreign in Russia and having someone who "owns" you trying to dictate your future life choices like you have no choice. If the his quotes on line are accurate he has obviously done it not to market himself but so there is media awareness of the situation and then maybe his "owners" will back off

Agree3 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Celtic have been told by two different parties to stay well clear of Onyekuru because of his attitude and disruptive influence on the squad. Last night just reaffirmed exactly that.}

27 Jan 2017 11:46:42
so we will buy him then lol

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 11:22:07
Fenerbahce seems to be the shout on social media anyway Ed, and the Bojan to celtic link won't go away, any info on that or anything else?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - AS I've said before I can't see us paying the transfer fee, wages and other costs involved with signing Bojan. Stoke are still asking for Β£12m and even if they drop that a couple of mill I still can't see it.}

27 Jan 2017 12:03:43
If this isn't an isolated incident then It's a concern. We can't be having 19 year old prima donnas. IF he could have his head set, different story, but that is an IF.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I just can't see Onyekuru coming in and being happy to be 3rd choice striker behind Dembele and Griffiths - unless Griffiths is for the off which has just occurred to me, hhhmmm?? We know we're trying to unload Ciftci but do you think Onyekuru will be happy to take his place in the squad or play most of his football for the development squad?}

27 Jan 2017 12:34:23
Henrik larsson took Feyenoord to court to force a move to Celtic if dembele did that to Celtic fans would be going off there heads saying get him out and if he did go to say spurs their fans wouldn't give a hoot like us when henrik gave us 7 wonderful years hh

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 12:31:19
Do you think the reasoning behind his attitude is the fact that he's practically a slave to the club? They're going against what he wants as a player. Which in my eyes is un fair. Maybe he could be an option for RW Ed? Even though I can't see him signing now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Behave yourself, he is not a slave to the club he's contracted to - until 2020 - or are they not allowed a say in it? Maybe the Russians are offering more money that's why they want him to go there - doesn't Peter Lawwell do the same, was VvD a slave for the last year he was here after Celtic refused to sell him even though he wanted to leave?}

27 Jan 2017 12:46:06
Can't imagine he would be happy Ed, no. He's more of a wing forward though. I envisaged him shifting over to the right, which again isn't ideal, but I think he'd do a turn for us and was excited. Taking your insight into consideration though, not so sure

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's been playing as a striker for KAS Eupen.}

27 Jan 2017 13:11:55
He's typically been playing on the left of a three man attack Ed. But that's a finer detail.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 14:06:41
I'd have thought if anybody in the forward line is getting replaced it would 100% be Forrest on the right wing as well JimTim.

27 Jan 2017 14:53:28
A hope Griffiths isn't for the off. He just needs to take his chance again when it comes, a hope he starts against the wee huns he'll be up for that one. A wee brace would put him back in the managers mind and give him a decision to make again, never seen the game the other night but a heard dembele was a bit off the boil.

Hi to all my fellow Celts on here - this is my very first post on this site. Hope everyone is enjoying this season as much as I am. I have to say apart from two very testing performances in the CL (Barca away and Munchengladbach at home) , I have to say we have been absolutely joy to watch. The pressing, the passing and the desire to win every game has been phenomenal, especially domestically when most teams park the bus against us. Every player has improved under BR which shows just how good a Manager he really is. Tom Rogic has been my favourite player so far - his feetwork, reading of the game, passing and goals have been first class. I was wondering if anyone had an update on his injury? I think when he's match fit, we'll be back to scoring three or four per game.

27 Jan 2017 07:14:58
Was saying this the other day about rogic. He finds/ sees passes that most others can't, and is definitely what we miss when teams sit in against us. His job is made much easier when Sinclair and Forrest play wide of him though. Forrest stretches the game well and Sinclair/ KT do well to demand a few bodies trying to stop them which give Rogic the space to do his damage. Hope he's back soon and has a good end to the season (not too good that he's attracting too much attention πŸ˜‚)

27 Jan 2017 11:37:08
hello just my second post so hope it doesn/ t upset the applecart but is rogic really as good as a lot of lads think to me he has good skill but for his size he is easily brushed off plus lasting the full game seems to be a problem plus his shooting needs a lot of work as most shots are not on target in the domestic games he gets away with it but when we play the better class teams i think it shows.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2017 15:21:59
I thought Rogic was starting to look a lot more powerful, for me one of his great skills is sheilding the ball from his opponents.
