Well ed. Time to hit the old dusty trail. What a week. Whats going on over in GlasgowpoundcityRangers is absolutely crazy. What I hear from my Celtic cousin in glasgow my heart goes out to each and everyone of you the biases towards rangers in every bit of society between media and SFA is unbelievable. The amount of shxte my fellows celts have to put up with is a disgrace. We Shall over come. Nite ed and fellow celts. Godless you all and your family's. After all the banter with Southampton fans after the hooper transfer saga I wasn't aware they had the mighty Danny fox playing for them as well. They are a confused bunch. I don't know about fellow hoop fans but I hope they fail in promotion after reading their page

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Must be the sea air mate.

one minute they were all over Hooper like a rash, then when it became clear it was never gonna happen, they were all talking about him being a 3rd rate player from a tinpot league lol!

they failed to see the irony in the fact that their best player this season was a guy who couldn't get a sniff of 1st team football at paradise

Hey ed,
Doing my married man Friday night in with a couple of bottles of bitter. I found this video, check out the chanting at 0.50 !

I don't know if that was the LFC fans chanting that ?
I know it got sung in the 80s but very interesting to find out it was around way back then.

In Edinburgh there are a small number of very well connected individuals, who know anyone worth knowing..

if you are one of these people or have a close relationship with them, then there is little that wont be known

The information I have is that Rangers and Lloyds have NO expectation of winning at the FTT. They have both been briefed to this effect.

because the mainstream media have been in denial then there is still public uncertainty. that doesnt relate to the reality of the situation

I posted 10 days ago about MIH no longer being owned by Murray. I attached at that time the new share ownership structure which showed Murray only owning a tiny share and the owner now being Uberior Equity which is a wholly owned Lloyds subsidiary

You havent read a word about that in the MSM. Send a snapper round to Charlotte Sq and take a photo of what WAS the HQ of MIH..play a game of spot the brass nameplate? not easy as there isnt one that I saw when I walked past it recently

The MIH HQ is now a vacant empty office, at least it certainly looks that way

the MSM have been in denial for so long they are having difficulty adjusting to the new reality.If you had told Traynor or his like in 2008 that MIH would have been taken over by Lloyds and Murray had lost all the value of his equity, that Rangers were in their current state, and were maybe weeks away from going out of business, then they would have ridiculed you

however some of us were saying that things would go this way as far back as 2003. Anyone who could understand a balance sheet and more importantly understood business knew that MIH and Rangers were potential basket cases

the MSM cant keep this denial going for much longer..they are going to have to talk about it sooner rather than later

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Have you just stolen that from RTC, or are you barcabhoy?

Wolvibhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Well put together,but lacking in substance for me.in any corporate situation there are"people in the know" i may be wrong but isnt david murrays main office in redhaughs? as anyone can see the scottish media have been very selective in the reporting of rangers/murray affairs.my problem is once again no proof of the outcome of the tax cases just a nicely worded article saying i know someone/heard from someone/i understand. i dont think rangers will walk from this unscathed but i also dont think 49m owed will be the outcome.so heres my gossip: i have heard despite the "we might win" bluster rangers have been told to expect a bill for 25-30m.gossip i know but thats from an edinburgh gent who i would consider to have his finger on the pulse of matters financial.i agree about the 2003 angle,anybody could see murray was playing a game of poker with rangers sadly for him he,like most gamblers didnt know when to cash in.so what you and i say is still very much guesswork and in my case hope! green jhedi

Agree3 Disagree0

That's bang on the money, wherever you got it from.

it's known that murray is over 780m in debt, so the fact that a subsidiary of Lloyds is now the major shareholder of one of his largest companies makes sense.

now, this information isn't difficult to find, in fact it's quite easy to dig up, but somehow the rangers media seem blissfully unaware that their lauded 'Sir' is in financial ruin (no more succulent lamb i'm afraid)

the problem we have with the current rangers minded media is that, if they dont like what they're hearing, they simply wont print it....further evidence of the bias that exists in this cesspit of sectarianism we call 'Bonnie' Scotland

Thanks for the add, but in your article you say it is (or looks) empty with no plaque? so i dont get this post. cheers, green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

@green jhedi

The fact that the HQ of MIH is lying empty with no nameplate suggests that it's no longer in use, hence the bank now owning the company.

Arite ed first time poster do you no think all the attention is on getting another striker in when me personally would b tryin to bring in a big centre half although big Charlie's been doin the biz for us recently wots ur thoughts mate {Ed007's Note - I thought we could have done with one but not any more, at least right now. We have Mulgrew, K Wilson, Majstorovic, Loovens already here, Rogne looks like a new signing right now as well. To the idiot that said the grammar and spelling are poor...we live in the west of scotland and as you may have realised there is a lot of deprivation in the area(a common cause of poor literacy) . sites such as this at least encourage people to read and post. Furthermore regarding your comments about accountants and in particular celtics accountants well..i did an apprenticeship with them in the corporate advisory section and was privy to a lot of sensitive information and there never has been an issue with the books nor tax avoidance etc further to this my mum worked as an assistant buyer for celtic for 6 years or so before they closed that section of the business and outsourced it. she rarely if at all heard many accurate rumours nor scandals that have ever been proved as far as I know. Anyway sorry for the rant and maybe I am biting but cant stand snobbery and stupidity (particularily at the same time) rant over...bankier bhoy .... {Ed007's Note - Rant away mate, no snobbery there, welcome back. Ed: The spelling and grammar on here is atrocious. Anyway, heard a rumour from a man in the know that the rankers tax case will have a large bearing on our future transfer activity for the following reason, which I pray is not true: Desmond etc are harbouring money to pay for our tax liabilities which would be due if those 3 in a row title stealing bampots lose their case. Sad times. {Ed007's Note - As long as the posts are eligible and people can read them they are fine. I fail to see how Rangers tax problems would have any effect on CFC's finances. They have never used EBTs to pay players or staff, they were advised against it years ago because of the gamble involved in doing so. Brian Quinn, our ex-chairman and Governor of The Bank of England, decided to pay the wage bill without looking for loopholes. An ex-CFC director said:

They took tax advice and weighed it all up. They came to the conclusion that to use EBTs as a cornerstone of any tax plan was the road to ruin.
Looking back now, with all the problems across the city, it seems like it was a very astute piece of stewardship on the part of Mr Quinn and the board.

Does your man in the know only appear when there is nobody else around and you are feeling lonely?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why would Celtic have a tax liability if rangers loss their case ? Mrs E

Agree2 Disagree0

I wish it only concerned EBTs. Turns out that dodgy accountants are more sneaky and underhand than our worthy foe the rankers. As i am sure you know, EBTs are not the only tax lenient vehicle available to clubs trying to attract the best. Hopefully, those lot losing the case won't affect us! {Ed007's Note - Mate, kick back, roll one up and crack open a bottle of the monks finest, everything will be better in the morning.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Also, you mean legible {Ed007's Note - Courtesy helps, I try not to get into conversations with people too ignorant to leave a name. If you don't like it don't read it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED007, as you have probably already sussed, "no name" is most likely a bear at the wind up, one was mouthing off over there about posting on Celtic site as all "the tims were on our site"
Trouble is "no name" is not clever enough to pull off a wind up LOL Timalloy {Ed007's Note - You reckon Tim ;-) A simple IP search shows peoples posts remember. The spelling and grammar lmao have you tried to decipher 'the wake' page???}

Agree1 Disagree0

If I left my name my cover would be blown, literally! This is controversial stuff ed, unbelievable, especially cause we failed to take advantage of the only opportunity to win the league! {Ed007's Note - I've never had my cover blown but I've had my.........NAH! Eh...are you sitting down for this, I don't know if I should tell you this but here goes. If I get cut from being an editor then so be it, I am all for freedom of speech etc, see guys like Tim, Bhaldrick, Green Jedi, Mrs E, Stef, Wee Pat, JB, CB and all the regular posters......that isn't their real names!!! Now you take a wee five minutes to get your head round that. Read that last part again very s..l...o...w...l...y.....IT IS NOT THEIR REAL NAMES!!! It is only a tag they use to allow interaction with others on the site. PHEW....there, the secret is out. ED007 and fellow Tims, you all know my views on here regarding wind ups, I probably post more than most if I am honest. But I was talking to a couple of Celtic pals and also reading some well balanced articles ( OK I'll say it first "well balanced" and Timalloy do not go together ha ha)
Seriously, the argument is we are Celtic, we should be above all the silly laughing at our neighbours across the city, we should rise above it all and take a higher moral stance.
Celtic has always been more than a football club, when we win trophies we want to win against the strongest opposition. Over the years we have had to fight our corner to survive and be recognised.
If Rangers are so weakened that they become irrelevant as meaningless opponents, it weakens our success also. Celtic has fought and overcome adversity, we do not want to give anyone the excuse to say "yes, but you only achieved that because of a poor weakened Rangers"
Myself, I am caught in two minds, I LOVE to see the bears arguing among themselves and in such a weak state, but maybe I hope they are injured but not "mortally" give us your views. Timalloy

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Was celtic not in a weak state when rangers won nine in a row?

I think if we win the league the board should give lennon loads of money as that will put rangers right out any title race if we splash big cash like 20-30million as if we spent that on quality to go beside our current quality we would make that money back in a season or 2 via champions league and also selling the players for double/treble the cash we bought them for

A nice idea but it's part of the reason Rangers are in the sh*t they are in at the moment - Dick Advocaat spend 80M+ on players.

I think if we do win the league though 2 or 3 more quality players (say defence, midfield, attack) to give us an edge next season and an outside chance of CL qualification (or failing that a decent run in the Europa League i.e. beyond the group stages) wouldn't go amiss.

BB1, I was a tad worried about their bottle after the ICT from last season and have read time & time again that this will happen again particulary from Rangers fans. But got to say, especially after the St Mirren game last weekend, that they seem up for the fight and will grind out these results. This time last year, that would probably have been a draw. Mrs E

Regarding the "striker" we are after, I think they still have hopes for Bangura so won't be lookin to pay too much on a striker in this window. I was told to expect a striker on a loan signing because they can still sign bosmans after the shut of the "window". they have considerable knowledge on many nations to seep through.Spending is the last resort, history shows both the facts to be true

I LOVE the disappiontments of transfer windows;

Uchebo's Rangers trial ends in confusion
Posted: 2012-01-27 13:34

Michael Uchebo's trial at Glasgow Rangers came to an end after just one day, with conflicting reports from the player, his club VV Venlo and Rangers.

The Nigerian arrived in Glasgow on Wednesday hoping for a five-day trial, and took part in his first session at Murray Park on Thursday.

But that was to be his last.

His agent Tony Harris claims the player cut short his trial due to a poor first impression of the club, but Rangers claim manager Ally McCoist was not impressed and will not sanction a move.

"Michael was invited to come over by Ally McCoist," Harris told reporters. "When he got there, McCoist wasn't there.

"Michael didn't enjoy his Rangers experience. He didn't feel at home and wasn't comfortable.

"The player informed Rangers he didn't want to return to training. Michael will now look at other options."

But other reports claim it was McCoist's decision to turn down the player after one day of training.

And in a further twist, Venlo's Managing Director Hans Soentjens told reporters the club had reached a verbal agreement for a £1m transfer for the big forward.

"Rangers really really want him.

"We have reached a verbal agreement with them over a price. We are simply awaiting the outcome of a medical before completing the deal."

Uchebo, who played for Enugu Rangers two seasons ago, currently earns £8000 a week at Venlo and is looking to improve those earnings.

good morning ed. well another day n another laugh fest from ibrokes.uchebo off after one training session(did ally find out his club wanted 1m?)jellavic "ill" n missing training,jellavic foning salihi to tell him what a great club rangers are(as he's packing a bag to leg it)trying to beg a loan deal in poland(cos they love rangers global brand there!)and drug cheat willie johnston posing with a euro trophy that was such a joke its been scrapped,saying ally is the man for the job(thought that drug thing was a one off!)and last but by no means least daryll king getting shredded on the rangers tax case blog after his incredible reverse on clyde last night when caller terry( a legend on this prog) questioned him over EBT'S.mr king seems to think we are living in the pre-comp age where everything he has said is now on record."there was no point breaking the story while the team were on the cusp of winning the title" campbell ogilvie,rangers secretary at the time of the tax"avoidance" is now the grand fromage of the SFA. but hey its paranoia! nobody out to get us! honest mistakes! whispering ally,whispering refs and "jokey" e-mails about the pope from the ref supervisor(who has made some bad calls against us in the past) who is regularly seen at mordor taking in games. get em mr lawell and make sure the retribution fits the crime, remember: back of the bus no more! we will not stand for it! green jhedi
