Looking at Sunday's Glasgow derby, in both the games the zombies have beaten us plus the LCF when they outplayed us we have been outnumbered in midfield, given Mo is out and we have no natural up to speed LW I would go 3 - 4 - 2 - 1 with Jullien Bitton Ajer - Frimpong Brown McGregor Bolingoli - Forrest Christie - Edoward, at the next game at the debt dome I would swap Bitton with Bencovic, Bolingoli with Melling, Brown for Winyama and Forrest with Zlatan, Ed007 thanks for all the sterling work on here and hope you have a happy new year šŸŽ‰ā˜˜ļø.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers mate and happy new year to you when it comes.}

There is no way I'd play 3 at the back, 4 - 5 - 1 with 3 CM's is where I what I'd go with.

28 Dec 2019 08:56:47
Why would you be worried as sevco hasn't beat us yet we are on a brilliant streak as long as Lennon plays everybody in their right positions we can win easy but if he plays Hayes at left back we will be in trouble as he was terrible there.

As the Timalloy family head to England tomorrow, fully laden (groan hope the car makes it)
therefore I will not be on again until after the New Year, so can I wish ED007 and the bhoys/ ghirls on here a Happy, Healthy New Year.

PS somebody enquired who was getting our 3 tickets, too ease people's minds they are not going to waste, one of my mates has got two boys 10 and 12, he was made redundant in September so cannot afford many outings to see the bhoys, so he has our tickets which I know delighted the young uns, hope they enjoy their Celtic Park experience hail hail.

{Ed007's Note - Have a great time, Tim and give the Mrs & the girls me and the wife's best wishes for 2020.}

27 Dec 2019 19:32:32
There we go already there is no point panic about what our home form is second to none plus we have a full strength team and we can't play as bad and still won if we play at full speed we should run right over them the pressure is on them if we turn up they have too play the best they ever had to win I can't see us being beat.

Elhamed and Mo missing from our best 11.

When Celtic won the league cup, it was our 12th win in a row in all competitions.
Another victory against Sevco on Sunday would secure our 12th league win in a row. I hope it turns out to be our lucky number.

I am quietly confident about Sunday because we have played Sevco 4 times in 2019 and we won the 3 games when the pressure was on both teams. The only game we lost was when the league was already won.

This current Celtic squad have proved in recent times that we can handle the big occasions and I hope we continue that trend on Sunday.

I like the look of balance of that team on sightings. However, tactically I'm not great when picking teams to play a certain way against certain teams hence the reason don't normally comment on team selections.

Don't know why Forrest was omitted? However if we were to set-up in that formation, I would be happy enough as we need to win the battles all over the pitch - especially in the midfield.
Maybe along the lines of:-
Forster
Ajer Jullien Bauer
Frimpong Brown Ntcham McGregor
Christie Forrest
Edouarde

Although NL has a soft spot for Hayes in these matches, so that would mean no Bauer?

27 Dec 2019 19:09:00
No way McGregor should be taken out the engine room. Everytime we do it's a disaster. The guy adds all the energy to the midfield.

100% Kev and we usually agree about as much as Martin McGuiness and the good Rev. Ian Paisley did.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 19:44:23
Forrest was probably omitted because in the 10 years he's been here i can count on 1 hand how many good games he's had against rangers or sevco. Hopefully on Sunday though he does turn up and play like he can.

Sorry; That player list was not meant to be a set formation. Of course Cal-Mac is better in his natural role.

Bauer at cb? You mad?

Calmac has only played 1 good game against the zombies. Behave yourself the boy has been superb in many of these games. Scoring some important goals.

Ed what's the story with the segregation plans for the game on the 29th?

'From 11:15am, all external segregation will be removed, allowing supporters on foot to move freely around the stadium footprint including London Road. '

Pray tell why or am I missing something or have the Klan members to be in early?

{Ed007's Note - Is it maybe to make sure there's no chance of a repeat of the crushing last year?}

Better hope the corteo doesnā€™t take a wrong turn šŸ˜‚.

27 Dec 2019 11:25:21
So bhoys is it the same team for Sun, or do we play Forrest on rw with Ryan at 10 and wee Mikey on Lenny, or go with ntcham and match there midfield because we k ow slippy likes a lot of midfielders.

If there any change I think it will be 3 at the back. But I am expecting same as yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 13:22:48
I agree Kev; I think because of the winning run, he will stick with the same side that beat St Mirren. even though I am sure Sevco will have prepared and planned for this and a back three with a 5-1-1 in fron would probably give us an edge and push them back?

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 14:08:06
Why not Christie in the middle with Taylor behind Bolingoli to keep the width on the left?

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 14:40:50
Ntcham needs to step up on Sunday. No doubt about his ability but at times he looks quite lethargic and like a lot of time on the ball. We know exactly how that lot will play. The three in the middle will press in get stick in. We win the midfield battle, we win the game.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 15:58:49
I think we will start with the same line up as the St. Mirren game and then we will change to Plan B to step up a gear after Lennyā€™s normal 62 minutes and he will take Ntcham off and bring on Johnston.
If Ntcham does start, I hope he plays as good as we all know he can.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 17:15:27
Tbf iceman we didnā€™t win midfield battle in the final and still won šŸ˜‚.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 17:15:33
He isn't a quick flowing player wants far too much time on the ball and when pressed his passes are so wayward. Much rather Christie in there Forrest on the right and if Hayes is back in contention then play him on LW in his favored position.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 19:05:43
My team would be

Forster

Frimpong Ajer Julian boli

Forrest brown McGregor Johnson

Christie

Eddie

Just think it gives us better balance throughout the team.

28 Dec 2019 05:45:32
Jaw1888 think thatā€™s what Lennonā€™s first choice would be all depends on Johnston fitness is he ready to start thatā€™s the question?

27 Dec 2019 11:55:09
@A glasgow green funny enough I was talking to my mate who works in a Hills shop they have an el coo bet him NOT to score AND get sent off 14/ 1
But as I told my ex bears Morelos MUST break his duck against us sometime, but I believe even if he does achieve this miracle our forwards including French Eddy and Christie and Forrest will outscore him lol.

27 Dec 2019 13:34:54
Ajer and big Julien have scored more goals against Celtic than Morelos. Tim where will it show odds for Jack to be sent off?

27 Dec 2019 09:08:18
Why did the flag go up that goal was brilliant? He brought that down and buried it well onside why do these linesmen cause these problems that goal was awesome lines man have to be aware and learn the rules every game they make mistakes all time it's a problem that causes concern where was the ref?

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Dec 2019 14:54:46
Red card Red card Ross took pelters yesterday. Was inevitable how it was going to play out. Not sure about the offside but the corner kick he denied us was just cheating. He was 3ft away from it.

That wee Boyle from hibs good wee player lennon should look at him send the injured loanee back get some one in on the books he handy player where is shevd? And danzi these are on the books but never played more than 5 mins wee griff should have got game time yesterday and he stalls again eddy can't do it all the time for rest has to be on the right with frimpong there lighting together why has he slowed it down? Put Mikey on the left pace to burn Christie no 10 brown nitcham to slow cross passes one has to be benched to slow.

27 Dec 2019 10:33:48
Boyle is pish. Nowhere near good enough for us.

Don't think there is any striker in the SPL that is Celtic class - although we could do with a better looking, better natured Coo type.

27 Dec 2019 16:49:49
Nah i agree boyle looks no half bad been with hibs a few seasons this is the best i've seen him play pace is frightening wouldn't be someone who i'd look at specifically but if your looking for a bargain somebody on the cheap maybe worth a punt not as if he's 30 i' be looking to aim higher though not just a squad player somebody that's possibly better than we already have.

Big julien was rattled had a stinker he wasn't right watched him crying and rolling about then he lost wasn't interested nearly got caught twice strange rebound don't know but he wasn't his normal self.

27 Dec 2019 08:33:06
Don't rate the lad. He's slow, turns like a double decker bus, for his height he should be bossing players and not rolling about. Boli needs a good talking to after rolling about holding his face as well.

No doubting his ability and it's great having a CH that scores goals; but there are a few wee bad habits and his pain thresh-hold is even lower than Mikel Lustig's.
