Good result today, never tire of seeing a win by 6 goals!

I think I'm scunnered a bit by all the off field stuff affecting players and fans. Social media's a great thing and I do enjoy a wee bit of banter about the football and by that I mean FOOTBALL on the park. I've never been comfortable with gossip over players and Manager's private lives and I do whole heartedly appreciate why they make front page news in a celebrity way and how it reflects on the Club.

I also appreciate how very, very fickle football is, Suarez ( for example) - why was Liverpool's brand not affected last year by his antics? Now I love Liverpool and will defend them to the hilt but even I can see, if a players behaviour affects the Club - how were Liverpool unaffected? I don't want to get into the ins and outs of Liverpool, just using this as an example.

Do we make excuses for players based on how good they are? In my humble opinion, we do. I've seen it too many times now.

The living wage - now my employer does not pay this, where I buy food to feed by family does not pay it, family members who run their own business don't pay it but I've to hound Celtic to pay it?

The PLC - been in place for over 20 years but this season it's an huge issue? What has changed this season that hasn't existed before?

I take photos on my phone at matches, but of players or displays on CL nights but some take photos of the Police and Stewards and cannot wait to post them on social media. I've seen several occasions when these photos are taken out of context and passed about to look like harassment when it isn't! I seen an absolutely fall down drunk guy getting help for the Police and Stewards and folk taking pictures. The guy had wet himself and everything! This does not help our case against genuine harassment or the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act.

I don't know if Neil Lennon will leave this Summer and I don't know who the players in & out will be. I do know we shouldn't need to strengthen to win the league or do better in the domestic Cups. We are the Scottish Champions once again and had Champions League football, a few years ago that would have been considered a successful season. It's not this season and I'm not happy with it.

{Ed007's Note - Suarez's actions certainly did damage Liverpool's brand. The club's managing director Ian Ayre said it in September and stated that the club hadn't acted 'respectfully and professionally' in the past with regards to the Suarez racist incident.}

Ed appreciate what was 'said' but did the Suarez incidents affect Liverpool where it hurts? I don't see it - I didn't see them lose sponsorship, fans or money - directly relating to Suarez to any of the Suarez incidents.

I was just using this as an example really anyway. I'm just a bit fed up with all the holier then thou and hang them hang attitudes.

Suppose everyone is entitled to an opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Ok, Ayre must have been lying.}

Don't exactly see your point here Mrs E. Can you enlighten us a bit more?

Agree0 Disagree0

What was his full statement?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - At a Sports Industry breakfast, the morning after Suarez came back from his 10 game ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic, he said:

"Of course, any types of incident of that nature are damaging to a brand, but Liverpool Football Club is way, way bigger and always will be way bigger than any one player or one individual.

"What is important at those times is to ensure that we act respectfully and professionally as a football club.

"In the past we got some of that wrong and I'd say more recently we got that right."

Obviously I would like to think CFC would behave accordingly, even 'respectfully and professionally', if one of our players bit an opponent, especially when he has caused previous problems. I'm surprised LFC even condemned Suarez over, biting Ivanovic, I thought they would have got T-Shirts printed to support him seeing how it worked out so well for them when they supported his racism.}

Time the gloves came off folks. According to a daily record reporter, guidi, Norwich have Neil Lennon on a short list for their vacant managers position. Now that's all well and good, Norwich are entitled to have who they want on said list, but it might not be all it seems.

Guidi, as usual with no direct quotes from any of the parties concerned, claims that Norwich want to interview Lennon and he will indeed listen to what they have to say. Two things here.

#1: Neil Lennon is the Manager of Celtic.Neil Lennon is very lucky, as a young untried manager with no experience, to have had this opportunity.If Lennon does ask for the opportunity to talk to Norwich I would suggest Mr Lawwell tell him to pack his bags and say his goodbyes. Norwich are not, and never will be, a club of the stature of Celtic.Therefore if Lennon wants to put himself up for this job don't be treating our club like some kind of fall back option, that is not on.

#2: If guidi is running this up a flagpole to see who salutes it, I would suggest Celtic aggressively pursue this pathetic excuse for a reporter to find out who he got the story from.If he has the cheek to use the 'journalist protecting his source' argument, I would tell him that he is not and will never be accredited as a journalist by Celtic fans.Next step ban him, Keevins was banned for something similar.

This might seem a bit harsh but we have to start taking a stand against the staggeringly low level of reporting in Scottish football.Remember this is a group of people who continually tell us rangers 'exited' administration! Who are now being used as puppets by a 'glib and shameless liar' to further his own ends.Who never ask a single difficult question concerning rangers or their new tribute act sevco.

Time we took a stand.

@GJ - Whilst Norwich are nowhere near the stature of CFC, unfortunately there league and even the Championship gets far more credit that our own nonsense of a league.

Paul Lambert for example did wonders with teams taking them above and beyond expectations - was well coveted in EPL, unfortunately for him he has had to learn the hard way, things that worked at small clubs don't always work at bigger clubs. Lennon in my opinion, has not gained any real credit or exposure as again, in my opinion he has not been successful. There has been no challenges for our club in each league title won, we have had one good European run ( yes with an outstanding win against Barcelona ) and a shocking list of cup exits against mediocre teams.

I hope there is substance to this story and that we get an attacking minded manager in with a pedigree of doing well in Europe ( even if it is with smaller clubs )

Agree0 Disagree0

@gj, if they exited administration, who was liquidated? Why did they start in the 3rd division?why did they have to apply for membership? Was it not the likes of guidi that foretold of Craig whytes wealth beyond wealth? Is it worth getting upset about? It makes my blood boil the thought of them carrying on as though nothing has happened! Founded in 2012, won their first trophy in 1872?? Many an angry night on the couch I have had thinking about this! We know the media pander to them! We are better, time to be the bigger man! Only yesterday radio Snyde were talking them up about going through the championship getting promoted the getting back to playing their old rivals! I might be wrong but we have never played this club in their 2 year history! Rant over sorry

Hi folks,
As we are talking about transfer ins and outs in my opinion we should go for snodgrass he has the ability to light up celtic park and would be a good addition . But if celtic don't sign the lad Armstrong from dundee utd then they have missed a trick he has everything strength, pace, eye for a goal, vision and would cost a million pound at the very most! Just my opinion lads

Celtic always

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Defo would like this player at Celtic, but we have far too many CM at the moment.

If Kayal and a n other move on then we cannot afford to let this one move to EPL just as James McCarthy did

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with snodgrass and Armstrong both look good signing targets but I hope the coaching staff don't overlook the boy mcgregor at notts county as 13 goals for a midfielder in a poor team that has had managerial changes is a very impressive return.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree mate, McGregor could be good for us next season, what about rogic for Armstrong? Seems like a good deal for both clubs and players, add a bit of cash to spice it up a bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe after he spends a season in the Championship and proves to be a success, then he can get a chance at Celtic.

Remember the league he is in before making comments that he can be an asset to Celtic. And also yesterday was his first goal in 3 months, so he has hardly been consistent at a poor level.

Agree0 Disagree0

You must be a naive football fan if you think the spfl is better than league one in England. The boy mcgregor scored twelve goals before s Derry took over and changed personnel and tactics and the boy mcgregor suffered for that. He went out on loan to gain experience he should therefore be given an opportunity here before uninspiring players like Biton pukki etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Jim that's it I am naïve because League 1 is better than our league.

So another manager comes in and its his fault that everything went quiet for McGregor nothing to do with the player himself.

Players go out on loan for a reason, because there deemed surplus to requirements at this moment in time and this player like many others before him will disappear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty poor assessment of a young player who went out to gain match time and experience rather than rot on the bench never playing. If our coaching staff think like you that they go on loan and disappear then I worry for our inexperienced youth players

Agree0 Disagree0

@Jim1972 "uninspiring players like Biton"
Biton looked a class act before he got injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Class acts don't play 1000minutes in a season spread over 20 games. Whilst we have brown mulgrew and stefan we certainly don't need another holding midfielder who can't be creative. Just my opinion
