Did anyone else see the new away kits? Have to say they will have to grow on me but if the players are playing well in them I'm sure they will start to look a lot better to me.

lenny does have a good judgment of players
utter PI55 Lenny has bought around 13 players since taking over three have turned out to be good signings (Emilo, Kayal and hooper ) one not bad Ledley the rest has been dross. his signing policy has been to buy loads and hope to get a couple of decent players from them, now the cash pot has shrunk the amount of players he buys drops so the chances of another kayal emilo are slim.

Rubbish! Commons and stokes have been good signings. Mulgrew and maj have been decent. Only poor signings have been ljungberg and murphy! Ledley is also better than not bad. Very underated
juarez was a good signing but couldnt fit into the team anywhere, and cha was also a good signing so that's at least 9 good aquisitions, barring oliver kapo murphy and ljungberg etc. but with getting so many players coming in theres always going to be passengers!
How can u say juarez an cha were good signings when they can't get a sniff of the 1st team get real mate

Juarez and cha are both good players. The reason there not in the team is cause Wilson steped out and kept cha out and the midfield was going along so nicely juarez couldn't get a look in.
Juarez and Cha found it hard to get into the team , because Celtic have a big squad and the players in their positions played consistently well all season , ie Kayal , Ledley and Wilson , not because they are poor players .
Cha played 21 times for Celtic this season and was outstanding. Remember he went away to the Asia cup for 4 weeks or so, came back injured and only recovered about 6 weeks before the end of the season. At that point Wilson was on form and couldn't be dropped.

I'll be sorry to see him go as in the potential he had and never really became the player he could have been, he has had a rough time with injuries right enough but IMO it's time for him to move on}

whats everybodys opinon. .mines is i would rather have westwood a keeper who could possibly play in goals for us for 5/6 year rather than eat into our budget with a pricy loan deal

I am fed up saying that it is atrocious that a club the size of Celtic do not have a recognised No.1. It helps the confidence of the defence when there is an established GK over a long period at any club. I'm not a great fan of loan deals in general unless they lead to a permanent deal if it's successful. I actually think it smacks of desperation to get excited over loans or look at players and say "It would be ok if we could maybe get him on loan". We are Glasgow Celtic and a club our size (and Rangers) should be signing players, not throwing money into a black hole with loan fees and wages}

Schildenfeld plays for sturm graz. Has anyone seen him play? Croatian international though, would imagine he's better than what we have. I trust Lenny to buy quality in the summer.

Seedorf has signed a new 1 year deal at Milan which'll probably take him to retirement. He will NOT be coming to Celtic.
Shane Long will stay in England. Just because the lads Irish it doesn't mean he want to sign for us (Celtic). As big a club as we are, we can't compete financially with the likes of Sunderland, Fulham etc. Reading will be looking for around £6mil for him even if they don't win promotion, and we simply can't pay that, especially if Lennon plans to bring in 2 or 3 others.
However, i'd love if we signed the big Croat defender. He's a no nonsense type player but with a touch of class.

I'm glad the benitez transfer won't now happen as he's the exact same as big Sammy , in that he does'nt look up to see a pass & to make matters worse he wants to pick the ball up just outside his own box to run 60 yards & beat the opposition twice each before scoring an admittedly great goal, but how many times does it come off, once out of ten poss?

Am I the only one who thinks that the Shay Given to Celtic JUST MIGHT BE ON , if you think about it, sure he's on big, big money but I'm sure that Shay's made his money in the game now so to drop to say, £20/25k per week would hardly be dole money would it . Also Man City are hardly skint so the transfer fee could be reduced as he's been a model pro, & lastly why would Man City sell to a rivel EPL club only for him to come back to haunt them?, same could be said for Bellamy or am I reading too much into this? comments please ed.Big Dermot would have to dig deep again god bless him. . . . {Ed001's Note - hard to say, more likely to get him on a loan deal to avoid him joining an EPL rival I would say.}

ED, A good few of my mates, rave about Broony, i can see where they are coming from sometimes, but then i watch him pass to the opposition again, and it just drives me demented. For 4 years i have thought, if only he could sort out his passing, but for me he hasn't. He seems like a nice guy (daft as a brush, mind you) but this basic flaw in his game has not improved. Put it this way ed, he is no paul Mcstay. But Beram Kayal, now this guy reminds me so much of the Maestro, it is scary!
