I hate that we sing that Liverpool Anthem. Always feel we are better than having to bellow YNWA. Talking to an older supporter who told me how they used to sing "we are sailing" in the jungle during 70's. Would love to revert to that or something that's uniquely Celtic. Amy ideas or thoughts?

Now you zeemeee, now you don't.

I thought of that much earlier, honest.

I've been to Anfield, I've even been to the Westfalenstadion. Nobody is claiming it to be exclusively Celtic. But it's a darn good song.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And the first time it was sang in a football stadium was at Old Trafford during a match just after the Munich air crash by the New Mills Operatic Society. Feyenoord in Holland also sing YNWA.}

Well there you go big man. Another thing learned.

I have never had a negative feeling towards it myself. Can't understand swapping it for we are sailing. Rod pinched it.

Has Forrest been offered/ signed another new deal?
I thought he refused a contract under RD, then BR has told he has to prove himself to be offered another contract?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2016 21:41:19
I know this won't go down well on these pages but I would keep Forrest, simply because he is one of the few players we have that has genuine pace and can beat a man with pace alone. I know especially last season he was rank rotten and looked totally uninterested but there were many last season who looked uninterested.I hope Rodgers can give him the kick up the arse he needs .

26 Jun 2016 23:11:26
I agree Stevie the lad has something just needs some one to get the best out a him.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jun 2016 23:15:07
Sorry steve! Keeping a player for his pace alone is madness. He just isn't a good footballer. With his pace he could knock it into space and run on to it stretching a teams defense, he doesn't have the brain to use his pace 9 or 10/ 10 he runs directly into the most crowded areas and looses the ball. Can't tackle, cross, pass or shoot consistently. Why keep a player like that?

26 Jun 2016 23:19:53
MRgreen he is one of the longest serving players in our squad he has had time.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2016 23:39:29
rglen Mrgreen said someone not some time. I still think Forrest has something about him and would definitely give him 6 months under Rodgers , if no improvement then bin him. Got a feeling tho that we could see a better Forrest this season

27 Jun 2016 01:06:19
I know what he said bud. My point being he has had a few managers now and all of them have given him time. I don't see him making a difference against better opposition and I don't see him starting so giving him the odd run out against a bottom 6 rb/ lb in a league game then what will that prove? We really have to aim higher than James forrest. Or give that 20mins to a youth player that has earned it.
Switch it up a bit. What would your feelings be if he wasn't already our player and he was linked with us?
He was frozen out last year for good reason. It's a pity the penny hasn't dropped yet for some.

27 Jun 2016 08:40:40
Speed is great but once past the opposition you have to do something with the ball.

Stephboy why get sent off, let him go through and see if the keeper can save it. Then with 11 v 11 you have a chance.

Seen this Duffy play for a few teams and yeah he is brave but defensively his positioning is poor hence he playsfor Blackburn and not a bigger club.

Not advocating that we should sign the lad but tbh if he was my centre half in that position it's a no brainier the tackle had to be made is put my house on griezmann one on one 3-1 down tie is over. Great effort by the Irish but class shows in the end.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2016 18:33:24
We got pummelled in the second half n the boys were tired but that tackle was a must, he had no option, if he let's him through he scores n that's it. More chance with ten men than another goal down. A can see big moves for a few of the lads a just hope we get hendrick before someone else does.

Kev Ts limited knowledge of anything resembling football is further clouded by a jealously. It's eating you up young fella. Scotland might come good someday when you consider the league of Ireland and Irish league are both part time, there is hope for you out there somewhere.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Jun 2016 19:55:11
Haha, jealousy for what TTTS?

The Euro's is a laughing stock, there should only be the winners and runners up competing not the best 3rd place teams and that goes for qualifying groups as well. It's a complete joke. Scotland are just hopeless, it's like a lower league English side now.

So I have limited knowledge of football due knowing Shane Duffy is rubbish, Randolph could have saved Griezman shot cause guess what, goalkeepers actually do save 1 on 1 's and that I enjoyed seeing Ireland, like Northern Ireland and hopefully England going out of a tournament that they have heavily contributed to being utter rubbish.

Sore losers! Shouldn't have been there in the first place never mind getting out of the group.

Stephbhoy - I think Armstrong is better than Hendrick, it's my opinion as long as he plays in centre mid and not on the wing.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Jun 2016 20:35:08
Got to agree welsbhoy ad have been looking for my centre half to be making that tackle aswell 1v1 i'd always fancy the attacker and at 3-1 there's no way back was the right decision in a terrible situation.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2016 22:14:45
How's your beloved boy Armstrongs international career going. Hardly trail blazing for a team that failed to qualify for Euro16.
At least the Irish lads have big compo experience.
Can Celtic as a club attract anyone from the top national team at any kind of an affordable price.
Remember what shop you're shopping in, you'll fine Armstrong etc in the big tub st the front door saying 3 for a pound.

Duffy was one of the best defenders in the championship last season;a hard league, he will only get better and would be a great addition to celtic.

Would some of our ex E U members be jealous of how well R O I from the E U performed in the Euroes . We are proud to play in the finals and when it was our time to exit, we were beaten by a top team, one of the favourites .

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jun 2016 08:44:54
Its starting to warm up a wee bit now that we have knock-out games. I think the Third place qualifying took away the cutting edge of having to be in top two places and as a result, we had some dreadfully boring games.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2016 20:49:31
@ ttts if Scotland is so sh! te why do you support a Scottish team and not one of your p! shy irish teams!? Scotland took four points from Ireland which should of been six. Ireland don't play good football they just have the luck of the irish!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2016 23:42:50
Barryboy I think Scotland reached the height of their ability when they beat Ireland .
I M O Scotland have deteriorated since whilst Ireland have put in a few new faces and vastly improved the team.

Really undecided on the thought of Toure. It's like the boy who cried wolf though atm so pointless even thinking about. It really will just be another former BR player tomorrow.
