Just a quick note to wish The Hoops all the best for the coming season.
And to say hello to our old mucker ed007 who, I think, may have been banned of our site whilst the Charlie Adam situation unfolds. I know he always had positive and fair things to say on the player..

I enjoyed all the banter I had doing it, how is my friend Blair these days, is he behaving? I haven't even seen him on the Utd site lately either.}

I get what the guys saying ed...but he ruined it for me when he says were losing "potential fans" celtic fans are born, not persuaded or bought. I could care less about his feelings about not gettin enough cuddles from peter lawell. We all spend money on celtic merchandise through choice. The guy has to realise there are countries all over the world with celtic fans in them. Some of which celtic have never and probably will never play in. The club always has one of the busiest pre season schedules of any club. And the fact that last year there were 35,000 celtic fans at the brisbane roar game shows you the brand was as big if not bigger than ever. But let's be realistic we're punching WELL above our weight and have been for years. Were not in a financial or footballing position to compete with manchester united, barcelona etc. We are all adjusting to a "lower quality" product and its time he done the same...with the state of scottish football we should be glad to even be in the position were in globally.

Tyrebhoy i understand what your saying about supporting your team going to games buying shirt etc but old firm need to try and get involved in one of the cups in england thinking along the lines of a revamped league cup were the top 4 sides in the spl get to take part i think there would be sponsors willing to get there money out for that i know there was talk of it couple of months ago i think most partys would be interested big rab by the way

Think if u put your tv onto SSN you will see that it say that Barton is available for a fee of 4m. Why would Celtic sign a gk on loan for a year when he's out till October at the earliest. Push the boat out and get Foster. If he's going to be as good as NL thinks he could be sold on for a profit in a few years just like what will happen with Kayal and Izzy. Hopefully not any time soon.

I was having a look through your website to see if I could find anything remotely sensible and current but alas no- but something I did notice that gave me cause for hope was the way you guys have taken to the celtic stalker TONYDOM but he, s not really a rangers supporter he, s one of your lot and Im sure his wife is one of your type- everybody to their own I say Im a rangers man but all that stuff is played out..Im an agnostic (one of the nose people) but seriously as far as I can see both clubs are the sectarian problem and maybe sometime in the future both sets of supporters will have to be banned and I dont mean from a few matches I mean totally banned as in becoming illegal organisations which could be seen as a threat to the peace of the nation. In all honesty society has very nearly broken down as the pressures of modern day living are so high its a genuine tragedy how things have been allowed {Ed007's Note - Illegal to support a football team?? So if you want that, English, Italian, Turkish, Brazilian, Dutch and Argentinan teams should all be banned and their fans arrested, they have all had problems as well, oh and don't forget Barcelona who's fans threw a pigs head at Luis Figo a few years back during a game. Earlier today Leeds Utd banned a 63yr old woman for a "pitch invasion" last season, is she deemed part of an illegal organisation in your stupid idea?}

Sectarianism is a social problem, not a footballing one and until it is addressed as one one there will always be problems. To blame CFC and Rangers fans for everything seems to be the in thing just now and it is pathetic IMO, when you visit other grounds and hear the same songs sung that CFC and Rangers are vilified for. One thing no one can accuse me off is being a bigot, my wife is not a Catholic and she enjoys going to Celtic games with me. If you want to discuss something on here then fine, but at least do not blame CFC and Rangers, as clubs and as fans for something that has been put upon them by the media frenzy. Any sensible football fan can see the problems, my nephew got an upset stomach after an away game at Kilmarnock, should we ban the sale of pies at grounds? As for your statement about killing innocent women and children, did the Allied bombs over Dresden only target German soldiers or vice versa when the Germany bombed the east end of London? You are trying to make this into a political issue that nobody has brought up here, my faith, my football, and my political views are my own personal identity that I was brought up with, whether you agree or not is your own decision but do not come on here to try and spark a political debate you obviously know nothing about}

"I'm sure there are Premiership clubs that could offer them better deals but at this stage of their careers money shouldn't be that important. They can stay here for a year or two and then look at things after that."

I was on the middlesboro forum and apparently mcmanus ex-celtic is going on loan to Rangers with a view to signing him permanently as cover for centre back position depending on how he performs etc so no hard feelings here I, d just like to wish him the best of luck and I hope he makes it back andhe was an excellant player for us and scotland it just seems a pity he, s going there I thoughthe might have still had a future here' paddy macginty69

Well my sources would have me believe he was a boyhood Partick Thistle fan. Not swayed in either direction as every fan of every club would suggest about just about every player in every transfer move (when in reality and we all know it - they all sway towards the green side of things, and I ain't talking Celtic).

However, this "McManus on loan to Rangers" is red top paper pro-Rangers gutter nonsense. He's staying at Middlesbrough. No evidence from credible websites, no quotes from the man himself.

But feel free to post this rumour again when there's at least some basis to your claims.
