Can I ask all the Ronnie defenders on here, who blame peter lawell, john park, Desmond Dermot and everyone else for the piss poor football and general lack of direction and motivation in our team, why do we name stands after jock stein? Why do we have statues of the lisbon lions? Why do the lions pictures hang in every corner of our stadium? Surely it's the chairman and the board of the time that should be getting idolized as all our European and domestic success through the years must be down to them .

what a stupid post times have changed managers aren't what they used to be what we have is a coach who is supplied players by park/ lawell. can u imagine stein being told who he has to sign who he has to have as his assistant.

Agree2 Disagree5

26 Feb 2016 23:48:53
I couldn't imagine stein doing that, you've kind of made his point valid .

I think that is now 19 points dropped in the league, CL failure, six games without a win in the EL and eliminated by Ross county in the cup. This is abject failure by any reckoning. RD has turned a one horse race into a possible photo finish.

Agree3 Disagree2

27 Feb 2016 08:54:37
We are buying from bargain basement and shouting for a div 1 player toget a start in midfield and hoping to run over every team. RD was brought in to develop talent and win the league something that he's doing. He's not getting big money to spend like previous managers Time we all get behind the team and stop letting the idiots on phone ins tell us otherwise.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 09:18:10
Yes times have changed indeed welshbhoy we have been infiltrated by fans like yourself who are willingly defending abject failure and who are not clever enough to see when they have been sold a pig in a poke, or are not brave enough to fight for what we deserve, a manager who would stand up to anyone who tried to interfere with his running of the team .

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Feb 2016 11:42:57
Princess don't know. Could it be the fact he led team to european cup win? don't know just guessing. You have contradicted yourself. If board are credited with success in europe, then they are responsible for failings as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 12:04:59
That is exactly my point dn30, why are you and your fellow trainee manager's supporters blaming everyone but Ronnie, yet every bit of success we have had in the past is down to the managers and teams who won them? You are the one's contradicting yourselves.

That must be about our 15th lacklustre performance this season, simply not acceptable, something within our club is rotten to the core. The one thing you could always rely on with Celtic teams over the years was effort right up to the last minute of a game. This can only be the fault of a weak management team who are not capable of kicking the arses of those who need it.

26 Feb 2016 23:32:46
Stevie I was shocked at starting 11. Scott Allan is not a winger. Have not one doubt he was only signed as a PR stunt to get fans on side. Club needs overhaul.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 00:08:25
That was a bizarre decision, but a common occurrence that's been happening for a while now is our uncanny ability to be cruising in games and within a minute we've gone from being massive favourites to win the game easily to being lucky to get anything out of the game, this is usually caused by not taking chances to score a second followed by one of our defenders or keeper lacking concentration which results in sending off pen against, all of a sudden we're playing with 10 men and the games level. The Ross County semi this season was a classic example of this .There have been far too many games where it seemed more difficult to lose or draw the game than win it but we seem to consistently manage to do just this

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 02:41:54
Stevie I've backed delia to hills and back, but team fielded tonight was a major error. Scott Allan is not a winger and with points gap tight with Aberdeen, we should of fielded stronger team.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 13:35:36
He wasn't played as a winger. Where you stand on the field isn't quite as black and white as some fans like. I'd say it's not Football Manager but even FM isn't that simple.

26 Feb 2016 23:18:03
I will tell you what is shameful, we have a team of Nancy boys. Tonight a thug in the opposition tried to damage our youngest player with a possible career ending tackle. Not one of our players stood up to get a hold of him. Not so many years ago one of ours would have had him by the throat, or would have sorted him out in a tackle later. we don't have a single player other teams are wary of never mind frightened of . apart from anything else we need to toughen up, could you have seen that clown trying that with the likes of bobo, big Johan Danny mcgrain Davie hay or even Lenny on the field.

Rant no 2. there was what three minutes to go or so till half time at the sending off. Why not wait till half time to think it through, before making substitution!?!?!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Feb 2016 13:39:26
Because

A. We had lost a central defender, and we only had one on the pitch. Our fullbacks can't tighten in, because KT is not a centre half. This wasn't going to change in 3 minutes.

B. Commons (after a week of people clamoring for his inclusion) was woeful. He was off the pace and offered very little. By removing him we lost (at that point) very little.

C. If we had lost a goal before half time, I guarantee people on here (maybe not you) would be questioning why didn't he shore up etc etc etc. What was he thinking etc etc etc.

Same old Celtic under this joke of a management , no clue no bottle and no heart , iv put a bit away each week for Europe, I'm off tomorrow to book a holiday as there no chance this mob is going any where, the club is becoming a fu##ing embarrassment and I fear that under this joke of a set up it will only get worse if that is even possible, its time for a clear out from top the very top to bottom.

We were superb tonight Ronnie got his team selection spot on, even after the masonic conspiracy left us down to 10 men Ronnie reorganized his troops superbly and it was only a combination of peter lawell, john park, Desmond Dermot, the bus driver, the wee lassie that works in the Celtic shop, the fitness coach and the Celtic park tannoy announcers that stopped us winning by ten goals, we moved the ball about at speed creating chance after chance and you could not miss the stratospheric progress every player has made under Ronnie and the team has made as a whole .
On another note these Ronnie lovers spectacles old bhoy gave me a loan of are working a treat .

Still ranting I know, but a man down against Ross County and Hamilton Accies, and we defend for fk sake! Go with three at the back. Mr Lawell give me the job, and I am stupid!?!?

Both games our top scorer/ best player missed a penalty at crucial time. I'm not sure how RD is to blame for that but I'm sure someone will take great glee in telling me.

This is RD signature move when we lose a player

Inter Milan away- Took of GMS who was the best Celtic player

ICT- Took of James Forrest who had been our most dangerous player

Ross County - took of Mcgregor

Hamilton took of commons who in fairness was struggling a bit but who can score and create goals that others don't seem able to do.

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Feb 2016 13:40:59
So blah blah blah then a point about Commons that actually agrees with RD's decision. So what is your point? RD took off our worst player last night when we had a red card?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Feb 2016 22:25:40
It seems as though anytime we get a player sent off, team crumbles. I've backed Deila from start, but after tonights line up i'm beginning to have doubts. I still stand by what my views are on Lawwell and Park. For me the line up suggested Deila underestimated Hamilton.

LG scores penalty- we win the match.

26 Feb 2016 22:42:15
I think every aspect of the club is now grossly underperforming. The new centre half will turn out to be another poor signing, he looks to be slow and seems likely to struggle aerially. surely it can't be that hard to sign a dominant ball winning centre half.

Prior to the penalty we hadn't created a single chance. Surely tonight knowing Hamilton were going to defend deep was the game to play two strikers and use CKM physicality.

The system of play is costing us dearly. ES played a bad ball to a player closely marked in midfield who was facing his own goal, one pass and they are then right thorough the middle of our defence. This happens every game with players running unopposed through on our goal.

I have been critical of RD for a long time, it is so bad now that I can't find the energy to talk about him any more. I just hope we hold on to win the league and RD JC and JK move on in the summer.

27 Feb 2016 09:01:48
Grout as long as Ronnie is there he will keep Collins and Kennedy. Ronnie thinks everything is ok. To be fair we should have scored the penalty and win but we all know that would only paper over the cracks. We play so poorly. i can't be bothered any more to talk about player selection or 4-2-3-1 at Hamilton or anything really. It's just banging our head off a wall stuff and after a while. ronnies been in charge long enough to have the team playing how he wants. If it's not sorted now it's not going to get sorted ever. This is Celtuc at their best under Ronnie. I can't see how any Celtic supporter can accept this. If we think we are years ahead of Rangers, think again. If they come up next season and turn us over then the calls for Ronnies head will be heard from most of the people supporting him now and we are not that far ahead which is also a disgrace.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Feb 2016 13:41:59

So the result doesn't/ didn't matter because your opinion would be the same regardless? Noted.

I have not been on here for a while. Just watched that display tonight not one lesson learned. Man sent off against Ross County we take off creative player and stick on defender, get beat
Do the same again tonight and defend against lesser opposition, end up with draw. Time to go Ronnie sorry and take the other two with you its over. I don't care, we will win the league by default and that is a disgrace. Welcome of your league mate go now!

Just watched that garbage and although my old reliable 'fiend' Craig Thomson played to script with yet another red card after we score - we were far from convincing and in fact there were a good few who did not kick a ball for the manager, club or support.
There was no cohesion, method, spark, or even basic passing and movement in a shocking display.
It took a penalty to get us off the mark and another missed penalty to put the tin hat on a poor poor night against a rotten, struggling team.
It wasn't just their pitch that was artificial, this is one of the poorest replicas of a Celtic team for many a year.
Brown, Lustig, Johansen and Commons were the worst I've seen for a long time and barring young Tierney, we rarely did anything of note worthy of winning this game.
I really dread the thought of next season with this manager and the bulk of this squad as we really look short of enthusiasm, fight, energy, ideas, skill and heart.
All the things I associate with good Celtic sides over the years.

thats my biggest worry about our team jim no fight in them tho tonight was a mixture of things boyata was unlucky to get sent off and on another day griff scores the pen, but 10 men 11 men whatever we need some fight in there and it just isn't and hasn't been for a long time.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Feb 2016 22:35:31
There's no fight in this team no Roy Aitken type didn't know when we were beat! The teams so disjointed, as with Ross county we lose a man and retreat , players aren't playing for the jerseys a rudderless ship!

Ive always liked scott brown but the past few games he's played he just seems so disintersted, and for me that's unacceptable for any celtic player never mind the captain, i for one can't wait for this season to be over n done with as its poorset football I've wayched in many years.

Good point Grout, I was so disappointed with so many other aspects of the game, I forgot that.
There is so much missing from my team at present and team spirit and looking out for one another is another thing sadly lacking.
I could write paragraphs about Craig Thomson's 'incompetence' and how much he appears to miss during Celtic games, but we have always had to stand up for ourselves and use situations like that to bond and fight together as a team - and that is not a team out there.

When will the management team tell the defenders. It's better to conceded and have 11 men to get another goal, than try and struggle with 10 men. This has happened a few times this season.

Evening ED.

What's your take on the new guy stepping into the top role in Fifa. I wouldn't usually ask about something non Celtic related but is he not the guy that pioneered the financial fair play regulations to try and help with the growing gulf between the bigger and smaller clubs. Also is he not the guy that was trying to get more actual champions of there league into the champions league. Hopefully he will kick this idea of the big 5 leagues trying to keep it all to there selves. Here's hoping he sticks to his ideas and it still gives Celtic the opportunity to try and gain qualification to the top table. I don't no to much about the guy but he can't be any worse than the corrupt clowns before him.

{Ed002's Note - If you look on the Liverpool page I answered it there. Anything to do with the European Leagues is nothing to do with him or with FIFA.}

Don't do it PK lol. Just loose your entry fee and don't bother.
Haha joking aside, it's hard but afterwards when your dead on your feet youl be glad you done it (possibly) .
You can be as fit as you like and might want to fly it? but you won't when there's others struggling a bit and vice versa, you might be struggling but others will help you through.
Assuming you've signed up as a team with your mates, then just stick together, it's no a race, just finish it.
You might even like it and take on others in the future? Deer Stalker is a good one, not as hard physically but it's at night/ early hours and takes more out of you!
After Tough Mudder you might just curl up into a ball so that'll do for now 😊 good luck.
