Shameful! A new low in a series of lows for us. It's an embarassment to support the club these days. From a position of strength a few years ago, we have huge problems on and off the park. I doubt anyone at CP reads this, but from top to bottom they all need to take a good look at themselves, from our owners, board members, football management and team. Can they honestly say they are doing a good job? In the last few years we have been shamed by Clyde, Ross County, St Mirren, Bratislava, Utrecht to name but a few. The team is soulless and gutless. The management sadly appear clueless. We are tropheyless and will shortly be penniless. The boards dealings are questionable at best. The club is in the mire and anyone who can't see it is fooling themselves - our revolving door needs to move upstairs! I've lost patience and whilst I'll continue to support the team and hope others will too, I don't know how much longer I have the stomach for it. It's evident from attendances I'm not alone and these look like getting worse. There'll be no "marquee" signing now, if one ever was planned. It the team has any decency they will donate their wages to the travelling support tonight or to a suitable charity. They certainly didn't earn them. We deserve every bit of criticism coming in the next few days. It's an utter disgrace and as you can probalby tell, i'm gutted!

Ok ok i watched celtic tonight and yes they were well beaten but how can you blame the manager? ? he played the same team that won the previous week we had two penalties against us in the first ten minutes not a good start but samaras and fortune were awful as was the goalkeeprer for their fourth goal none of these players are lennons! what does this tell you well he has to play them as they had no one else available! but look at who's coming in stokes and shichter hopefully two very good finishers! the most important thing in this country is winning the league and i still believe we are gonna do that ! we havent olost a goal yet and we have been playing very good football. oh and by the way if the middens across the clyde feel good just now they won't the morra when they realise that the new hero of ibrox can't play in the champions league. .CUPTIED LLLLLLOOOOLLLLL!

As a lifelong celtic supporter it pains me to say it, and don't give ma any of this faithful thru and thru crap, but celtic are now a laughing stock and an embarassment, lennon has scraped and scrimped bringing in players capable of competing in a two team league in the s.p.l., whilst the cfc board of directors who have failed to act in the clubs best interest over the past few years, have manipulated rumours of big signings in order to sell season tickets, lets not blame the manager this time, lenny has no experience, whatsoever, he was thrown into the job simply because he was already an employee and the cheapest option. i have no doubt in my mind that neil lennon will one day be a capable manager, but he should never have been allowed to start his apprenticeship with what was once a proud and feared football club. celtic football club (make no bones about it ) are on their knees and only full scale changes at boardroom level and investment can save the club from extinction

ED, I'm a bit confused with the cup tied thing, can someone clear it up a bit. Keane is cup tied for the europa because he played for spurs in the CL qualifier but if rapid go out then Jelavic could play for Rangers in the CL even though he played in the previous CL qualifiers and Rapid would drop into the Europa and still be in Europe.
It seems to be the same situation with the cups reversed but one cup ties you and one doesn't. {editor's note - the difference is that one club got through and the other didn't. The rules are a nonsense anyway, they are outdated and belong to the time when transfers would happen all through the season.}

Come on lads who gives 2 fecks if Jelavic is cup tied for the champions league , we surely don't want Rapid Vienna (cheating w@nks) to qualify , Rangers have 2 chances of making the last 16 , nae chance and absolutely nae f@ckin chance , even if they get Lyon , Panathinaikos and Zilina (weakest in each pot) they will still get a few "chasings" and be extremely lucky to get 3rd as they don't have a big enough or good enough squad to cope with the demands at home and away , 2 or 3 injuries or suspensions will see to that .

Lets get a few things sorted here.
1.Lee Wallace WONT be signing for Celtic, we've already signed 2 left backs so far and don't see us signing a third.
2.Robbie Keane WONT be signing for us so can you gee us all peace with the constant pish about him signing.
3.Yakubu WONT be signing for us either as we couldnt afford him or his wages plus he wouldn't want to play in the SPL.Hes s* te anyway.
4.Shay Given WONT be signing either, we've brought in Forster to compete for the No1 jersey and we won't be bringing in another goalkeeper.
We've already signed 10-11 players so far and I wouldn't expect anymore to come in this transfer window unless we're able to shift more players OUT.Money doesn't grow on trees yeh no.

Some guys are so thick on this, I though it was the other half of Glasgow that were this stupid.
Anyway, the thing that concerns me is that everyone is worrying about the 'number 7' jersey. This 'big name' signing. Of course we need a goalscorer because Fortune and Samaras won't cut it (sooner we get rid the better) but as the great Brian Clough has said on many occasions "whats the point in scoring 3 goals if you are conceding 4". As much as the Striker is important. We are still poor at the back. Cha Du Ri looks decent (not the best defender but is good further up the park) Majstorovic looks excellent so far (to soon to judge) Loovens, Rogne and Hooiveld I don't think are good enough and one of these must play every week (thats a concern), Mulgrew can't defend (cracking left foot though, good to have) and the Honduran is unknown. I still think we need a centre half and a left back just as much as we need a centre forward.
Also, Ledley, Kayal, McCourt and Juarez should make up the midfield, Scott Brown has qualities and when playing a 5 in the middle (like that lot in Ibrox) he should play, but he can't pass the ball 5 yards and should be left out.
Sign Yobo as the centre half and push the boat out and sign Keane or Yakubu.
Dont know who the left back might be, any ideas ed?
Dannybhoy {editor's note - why not Konchesky? That way Liverpool don't get lumbered with him! Actually though he is not a bad player, just not quite up to the level needed for a top 4 challenging team in the EPL, but I would say good enough for the SPL.}
