see pep is leaving barca at the end of the season. good manager but who do you think will get the new barca job ?

just a different topic rather than the usual stuff on here

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think their current youth coach has got a good chance, although can't recall his name.

Cruyff set up the current development system at Barca that is now, after many years, seeing the young players coming through into the first team. I'm guessing that part of this philosophy was also to bring coaches through as well, like they did with Pep, which is similar to the old successful days of the Liverpool Bootroom.

The youth coach will simply carry on in the same style that Pep has been playing and will alreday have worked with many of the first team players. {Ed007's Note - Eusebio Sacristan (if it's him you are thinking of) is the current youth manager at Barca.}

Agree0 Disagree0

In the old days the record would be telling us he was heading to ibrox!.........green jhedi {Ed007's Note - With Wattie going the opposite way........

At least we won't have to put up with the Ronaldo (fat one) story again.

Things must be getting pretty squeeky cash flow wise down Edimston Drive way by now.

Wheeling Smith and Jardine out seems to be part of the last gasps of survival. That with McCoist's rantings against the SFA 3. And that was not the rantings of a man under pressure, for gooness sake, it was an interview on Rangers TV that would have been carefully orchestrated and scripted.

Rangers are kicking out more now than a drowning donkey.

Well, if I was an investor would I want to invest in this club? The financial situation would put anyone off, but any investor now seeing the culture of bullying and intimidation, this watp attitude, would they want to get involved in such a club. Fans baying for blood and threatening the SFA panel. And this is backed up by the so called fans representative bodies. Dingwall - the man whose fanzine was banned from sale within Ibrox because of it's sectarian content. He now meets with prospective purchasers.

I'd like to thank Ally, Walter, Sandy, Dingwall, the threatening Rangers Supporters et al for doing more to put of prospective buyers than anything you alledge the SFA could possibley do. You really are a bunch or morons who just don't get it.

Bye, bye.

It was no surprise to see Mr Dignity snr on Sky Sports News giving his backing to his "Boy" , this coming from 2 men who are on record as saying decisions are made and you just need to except them and move on ! changed days chaps when you're on the receiving end for a change , if the ban makes yous unable to compete , tough , yous as a club voted for these rules , Dundee were penalised by an unprecidented 25 point deduction this season and still finished second in the first division , if you are relegated then so be it , you broke the rules and will have to take the punishment , thats the way it is Walter i'm afraid . Drewzybhoy .

Believable7 Unbelievable1

When is a journalist going to ask Walter if he had an EBT? Oops that just wouldn't be allowed. {Ed007's Note - Apparently someone has asked WS, the journalist is allegedly not allowed at Murray Park for any future press conferences.}

Agree6 Disagree0

Sandy Jardine is the latest to issue a veiled threat today before a meeting with supporters groups.Apparently rangers are too big to have this kind of thing happen to them,and their huge fan base can be very powerful! Has anybody heard the word sorry mentioned by any of these peepil? Sanctions against those who are kicking them no less.Sandy,what about the people you owe money to? This whole mess has proved one thing,the arrogance of the rangers hierarchy is running at a level not seen since time began.Truly astonishing..............green jhedi

Agree6 Disagree1

Your manager broke the rules yet you are the first to complain conspiracy, everyone is against us, it's personal! Double standards now your man is on the inside pulling Regans strings! {Ed007's Note - Rangers broke the rules as well in case you hadn't notice.}

Agree0 Disagree4

Wife just showed me a post on rangers media,i quote tattie munchin person,s she is a rangers fan is this not illegal,the quote i mean not her being a rangers fan,garlar07 {Ed007's Note - It's not illegal but it shows the brain power of the slime that use the term. There was a potato famine, so there was actually no tatties to munch, the usual high standard of thought we have came to expect from people who would use terms likes that eh Garlar?}

Agree0 Disagree2

Not too keen on it tbh,looks like a fake top you would see a turkish barman wearing,its about time the fans were involved before they decide what we like.

Agree1 Disagree2

The new kit is ace and it has incorporated the 125 year history of the Club.Nine hoops for the nine in a row, the star for the European cup and the black socks we wore up untill the 1930's .the new kit makes sense when you think about.

Lubo25

Agree3 Disagree2

I think its pretty good however I agree a fans forum or some representation would be great. I would have complained however if the black socks had a red top! On a similar matter I think our leisurewear range is cheap and indeed is the type of thing a Turkish barman may wear ( is the Turk in Turkey BTW?) Have a look at the BVB range it is pretty classy and good quality. It makes our range look like p*** and no I dont watch Trinny and Susanna.....well yes I do but only because I am forced to by wifey....Sopot Celt

I agree with what is being argued here i am not saying the celtic support is perfect. We have in the past had run ins with refs. But remember this is in both sides not just celtic and its so called fans. Ally has stepped the mark this is the manager of the biggest club in Scotland!! He has put people lives in danger when he knew fine well who was on the pannel he has no dignity whatsoever. He should be banned from scottish football for life.

cmcd

Believable7 Unbelievable1

As sly as they come is the fat le guen.he knew fine well who the 3 man panel were and he knew fine well what the reaction would've been.i hope but very much doubt he is made pay for this by SFA and the police.What would the public say if a convicted murderer wanted the jury in his case named?

Lubo25

Agree5 Disagree2

26 Apr 2012 11:34:24
I totally agree that it was a por decision by Ally to come away with his statement
But wee as Celtic supporters have not been to clever in the past threatening referees
Hopefully nothing will happen to the 3 panelists as they were only doing what was asked of them
the Rangers fans need to wake up and smell the coffee stop blaming everyone bar themselves
Craig Whyte was welcomed by the fans with of the radar wealth he was Rangers anfd therefore it was Rangers that put themselves in this mess
Sorry for the rant Ed

26 Apr 2012 11:11:22
Well, he has finally come clean.I have been waiting for the mask of impartiality to slip and lo,step up Jim Traynor of the daily record.In an article, which could have been typed while humming the sash,Traynor paints a bleak picture of Scottish football minus rangers.Mentions of the "dark clouds" and "staring down at the rocks of ruin" seem to put Traynor firmly in the pro rangers camp.Dont be deluded,rangers are massive and the record's own favourite mantra,the TV money,seems to be his main argument.One question Jim,why have you or one of your flunkey's not questioned,fully,the SPL on the details of the TV contract?The record,and Keevins in particular,have been pushing this since admin began,but none of them have had a face to face with anybody to ask if there are any four old firm games attachments in the contract.He then goes on to write about the "trickle down effect" of money to the smaller clubs.Take rangers away and football will suffer he claims,well consider this Jim.Lets say rangers drop to the third division,there is no doubt that clubs will have to trim their expenditure.Then lets say they all become leaner and the level of competition increases as second place in the SPL becomes possible.The glaring example of this is Dundee Utd,a young team on reasonable wages who,on their day,can beat both Celtic and rangers.Why cant Hearts or Aberdeen adopt the same model? The way ahead is for the other clubs in Scotland to employ coaches who want to play football and who will play younger players without fear.Danny Lennon,Kenny Shiels and Peter Houston would,i think ,thrive in an environment minus rangers.Perhaps stay at home fans of these clubs might just like the idea of winning something? Of course the Euro co-efficient argument is hard to disagree with,Scotland would lose points,for sure, but that might be for the good of the National team.But surely a league full of players in their late teens or early twenties,playing week in week out would,eventually pay dividends? And im sure Traynor thinks a healthy Scotland team is more important than rangers?He then starts a sad,hankie wringing diatribe about sanctions, Buyers and,laughably,what this says about scotland! What this says about Scotland Mr Traynor, is we dont allow cheats to prosper or walk away from their troubles.Would that not be more important?Would the integrity of Scottish football not be of of paramount importance to you as a member of the Scottish press and Airdrie fan? He also states that while rangers have a "minority" who shame them and Scotland,it makes no sense to push them over a cliff.Well,last years League Cup final proved to us all the "minority" is something of a myth.Ninety minutes(plus extra time) in which we were treated to the full range of the "minority" song book,strangely the press had their ear muffs on that day.He then panders to the rangers fans by agreeing that it is vindictive,and there are "whispers in the corridors of power", come on then Jim name names? Oh but wait,you cant can you cos we all know what the happens to people who upset "ra peepul"..........green jhedi

Believable6 Unbelievable2

I might be wrong but has Stuart Regan not already said that the Sky deal stipulates that there must 4 old firm games a season. Im sure I also heard that the new sky deal isnt officially signed yet.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree1

Yea,but is it cancelled or just less money? The picture being painted is no rangers,no deal.The SPL could not possibly condone this.No rangers,but there still will be a reduced deal............green jhedi {Ed007's Note - This has been covered extensively on here and the Rangers site. Any deal stipulating fixtures like this is illegal, it would be tantamount to match rigging. What if CFC or Rangers didn't finish in the top 6? It is covered in the UEFA rules covering TV deals.}

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Apr 2012 23:13:21
Dear me,it would seem ally might have gone too far with his latest plan to ingratiate himself to the peepul.To sit in front of a TV screen and spout that nonsense was at best misguided and at worse sinister.After all Lenny, Paul McBride(RIP) and MP Trish Godman were put through you might think he could have seen this coming.All this from a support who want to march through Glasgow then,apparently,on through Poland to world domination.So where does this leave the appeal?I feel it must be conducted by someone from outside"the best wee country in the world"To do this when they know UEFA are watching is stupid at a Galactic level.I for one, hope, one of those mumbling mono syllabic spokesmen for the supporters trust/assembly/assoc/vanguard, pop up on TV tonight,be very interesting to hear their take on this.Bear(PUN INTENDED) in mind they wanted Lenny hung drawn and quartered for confronting a ref!How does that fit into the fabric of their dignified club?To stir up the emotions of fans of a club in so much trouble,with so many authorities, is a new low even for the self serving mccoist. In fairness lots of gers fans are starting to see through him,and i imagine they will be sickened by this.In an ideal world UEFA should despatch their own men to gather ALL information,from EBT's to the latest sanctions,and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Three prominent Catholics and Celtic fans escaped injury,or worse,will the next targets be so lucky? I look forward to mccoist's next press conference,he might need sturdy boots and crampons for this climb down.........green jhedi

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Agree with most of what you say GJ but the appeal panel must be made up from within Scotland. To do otherwise is to give in to McCoist and his rabble rousing crew.

Good morning to all the readers of this site.

First of all I would like to say that after reading the tweet from the Rankers (in admin) FC supporters trust saying the SFA punishment is "draconian".

The only thing draconian is the attitude of the Rankers (in admin) management, and support.

They will be very quiclly forgotten.

Any idea when Alex Thomson will be issuing an apology for trying make Scotland worse than a war zone? He should go back to London with tail between his legs. He has just ruined he reputation with his crap. Who will believe a word he says now?

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Ok, rather than a ridiculous rant, why don't you go into the specifics of what Thompson has said and done wrong backed up by reasoned argument.

Agree7 Disagree1

Alex thompson has reported truthfully and fairly and the only people who should apologize are the people who have covered up things until it came to the boil, If action had been taken earlier Rangers would not be in as bad a state as they are now

Agree5 Disagree1

What does Alex Thomson have to apologise for ? Since Mr Dignity made his ill imformed rallying call , we have had the expected response from the "Ameoba Brained" sheep who follow Rangers , always everyone else to blame , no sympathy here i'm afraid my man .

Wel Well Well, Wanyama has come out & said what i've been saying, if Rangers go, what will the rest of Scottish football be like ? He is one of many who will push for a transfer because as he said "we need them in the SPL" & "this is a special fixture, it's more than a normal league game".

I would like to congratulate the Rangers support, Fat Sally McCoist the Rangers supporters trust and the rest of the knuckle draggers for staying true to form in this latest embarrassment the have bestowed on our society

In taking the decision to start what can only be described as a witchhunt against the panelists representing the SFA they have inadvertently rendered they're appeal of the sanctions against them as a waste of time.

The SFA in light of the events of the past 24hrs can now in no way be seen to surrender to these threats and you can now be 100% certain the sanctions against Rangers will be upheld.

Again thanks go out to Fat boy and the drones who weren't wide enough to wait till the appeal was rejected before going headhunting.

Neil Lennon has been banned for less

Ally McCoist should be forced to resign.

He has demanded that the names of the disciplinary panel be made public, which has now happened through electronic communication.

These individuals have now been threatened and Police have confirmed a security risk to them.

THIS IS EXCATLY WHAT MCCOSIT WANTED. INTIMIDATION IN THE RANGERS WAY.

Rangers voted in favour of these disciplinary procedures and are well aware that panel member's identities remain anonymous.

There was a Rangers representative present when the disciplinary decision was announed and the Rangers representative sat in the same room as the disciplinary panel so Rangers know who they are.

The demands made by McCoist border on criminality, basicaly behaviour likley to cause physical violence to another.

McCoist is a poor excuse for a human being and should resign.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

McCoist wont resign, I am calling him McCoist because he now deserves no respect in his position as the manager and high office bearer of RFC. He has sullied the office like no other before and has in my opinion given the bampots an excuse to do as they please. He has endorsed potential criminal behaviour and has been totally irresponsible, narrow minded and immature in his response to what was a reasonably tame and restrained raft of SFA penalties. Penalties meted out by decent men and men who have the best interests of the game in this country at heart. McCoist is a disgrace and the Scottish press are also a disgrace in the muted and watered down reporting of this outrageous and possible criminal act. It seems McCoist had no class from the start and his posturing childishness and aggression never were never far from the surface and has now been exposed for all who have any modicum of intelligence to see. He cant resign as the only thing which is now protecting him from having his collar felt from Strathclydes finest is that he is the manager of RFC. God help us all if any misfortune befalls any of the SFA beaks! Hang your head in shame McCoist you are a complete idiot. Sopot Celt.

Agree7 Disagree2

Took you a while mate , any respect i had for him disappeared with a wee snide whisper in lennys ear bb

I agree , he started the trouble at Celtic Park that night then jumped behind Walter Smith , but his actions on Tuesday night are far worse , he has instigated the lynch mob and must be held accountable for any repercutions that could occur , if Neil Lennon and Kenny Shiels are pulled up and banned for comments about the SFA then what McCoist has done surely warrants investigation , sympathies are running out fast .

I remember Dixie blasting it over the bar. I was 10 at the time and I can tell you I still look back with horror. Dixie was a great servant and scored a lot of important goals before and after that terrible night, but to say he made up for it many times over, well I just cannot agree. For me that loss was actually worse than the Feyenoord game and the Feyenoord game was very bad. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

He was forgiven by the fans the very next game at firhill when he scored a hat trick. we all drowned our sorrows and moved on.

Agree0 Disagree0

The feyenoord game was a sign of a shift in football and the dutch coming in with a new way of playing. celtic could still have won if they hadn't allowed complacency to creep in. seems strange now but dutch football wasnt rated much then and feyenoords brand wasnt much to look at compared to ajax. still at least we had those days during our 9 in a row. european cup win, losing in final, knocked out on penalties in the semi and the atletico madrid debacle semi. what did they have over at poundland ? nothing at all.
