Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

Not a rumour, more of a suggestion. Alejandro Pozuelo of Swansea. Not had much game time under Monk so could be available for a reasonable fee in the summer. Young, pacey, flair player who can play on either wing or off the front. Sort of player I'd love to see at Parkhead next season

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was it him or Canas we were linked to last summer before signing for Swansea?

Does anyone think that Britt Assombalonga from Peterborough could do a job for us. Scored 23 goals last season and is only 21.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Pedro would be rubbing his hands at that, think of the sales for lettering on the back of shirts.}

Good one Ed. lmao

Give the job to Larsson.
the return of the magnificent 7

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Larsson at least has the sense to realise he is not ready for the job. Great player, unproven as a manager and certainly not the man to replace NL. (IMO)

No no no no.

"So bring on the hearts, the hibs, the rangers".
oh, wait a minute.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we don't sort the right manager out there will be no Barcelona or Real Madrid either!

Who do you want as celtic manager I would take malky mackay moyes or Garcia I don't want coyle he had his chances but turned us down don't think he should merit another one.moyes I think would have a point to prove after Manchester United and it would be a good chance to redeem himself I would favour him and the talk of Roy keane I think would not suit celtic think he's too aggressive to be a manager would cause unrest within the changing room but who are the zombies going to vent their bile at now that Neil is away am sure no other manager in Scotland has had to put up with the crap Neil has oh apart from Sally he's had a really tough time with all he's been through b*******

Big Congratulations to Hamilton Accies worthy winners. Hibs got what they deserved today. Total shambolic display from a so called Premiership team, hardly a shot on goal and a crap penalty from the ex Ranger Thomson added to their downfall. This now makes the Championship a much more difficult league for the Sevconians to win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And we won't be able to sing bring on the hertz the hibs and the zombies!

Agree0 Disagree0

Reading the $un today n Thompson said he's the best hibs will get. . Classic fail

Well done the Accies! Best team by a mile.Makes the cash spent by sneaky look even more ridiculous given they play lump ball to Daly every week.As for Hibs. oh dear.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - A wonderful result GJ and well deserved, Hibs were never worth the 2-0 win in midweek.}

Quite excellent coaching and team ethic mate, very impressed. Game plan worked a treat and they never lost it when they scored first, and ALWAYS tried to play.Outstanding actually.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Again it just shows the advantages of having good coaches and a strong set-up behind the scenes. Accies are one of the best ran clubs in Scotland, the McCarthy and McArthur money was invested in the club as a whole and not just in the team, they also have a great academy in place and support a lot of local kid's teams in the area.
Their secretary Scott Struthers is one of the most knowledgeable and decent guys in the game, (he's helped me out with charity stuff on many occasions), and deserves huge credit for where the club is today, even for the fact there is a club after many years of off the field turmoil. Hopefully they can take this chance and become stalwarts in the SPFL Premiership.}

Dont know about stalwarts mate but they will be a breath of fresh air.Good to hear their coach say they will play the same way next season.

The whining about no hertz, hibs or sevco is ridiculous, they are where they are because of themselves, no one else.Regan and Doncaster should be in hiding after the shoite they spouted about Armageddon.

Ed how's it going not been on for a while as you may have noticed. Just wondering if the bookies have called this one right, is Owen Coyle going to be our next manager? If this is the case it's just the kind of appointment I expected from Our board. Or are Moyes & McKay still in the frame?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Hi Ian, nice to see you back, I'm good thanks. I still think it will be Coyle who'll get the job, I've said it since last summer but I hope I'm wrong.}

25 May 2014 18:40:32
if owen coyle is appointed it truely will show the lack of ambition I think. now IS the time to appoint a new man that will change things up and adopt a new style of play that we have been missing for a long long time

if the club want to sell more season tickets shouldn't they give fans a manager who they actually want at the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the feedback Ed, Good to hear your doing ok. Owen Coyle is as Kieran says not going to put bums on seats (sell anymore season tickets) I will obviously get behind him if appointed, however I can see this being another Tony Mowbray.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'd say that Coyle's a better manager than Mowbray. Whoever comes in has a massive rebuilding job to do but will the board back him and will the board have the balls to appoint someone who wants to move the club forward?}

Aahhh. "Now is the time" the most used phrase amongst our support.
It never comes about though "the time" that is!
Strengthen from a position of strength? We've never done and I doubt it's about to change now!
A 2 bob bit manager will come in and tick all the boxes, we will plateau at winning the league and struggle to get past qualifiers, qualifying is a bonus, if we don't players will be sold because the board are accounting for money that isn't rightly ours!
If we are that well off off the pitch start showing us.
Don't even get me started on a director of football FFS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please Ed, Not Owen. He has done nothing as a manger down south. I have quiyte a few friends who are Bolton supporters and it used to drive them crazy when he was in charge. Looked more like a player stripped ready to come on than a manager. Never looked in control and when things were going bad (which was frequently) he sat on the bench shouting like a supporter through cupped hands. We need a manager who knows his business, has a decent history and stands out as the mana in charge to both players and fans!

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we get the right man, who can make the difference, for the better. It will take a good man and an honest man to get better players in and get rid of those who have done a job over the last few seasons . We have to get rid of players who we have used up to now, if we are going to have any chance of bringing through young players .

Who would be the supporters choice for the hot seat? I hope for Garcia if not - Steve Clarke who has sound experience with good clubs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I like the sound of this Garcia guy. I definitely think we need a different approach and some free flowing fast football but does he tick all the boxes, re; knowing what he is coming into?

An absolutely fantastic article in today's Sunday observer, written by Kevin McKenna regarding the abuse suffered by Neil Lennon during his tenure as Celtic boss. McKenna pulls no punches with references to the Scottish governments "cowardice" in the aftermath of 'Sneakygate' at Parkhead.

He also writes that every organisation in Scotland has let Lennon down during his whole time in Scotland.

Informative, excellently written piece that no doubt the forces of darkness will put down to our persecution complex.

I'll try and post a link Ed.

{Ed007's Note - I read it earlier Jim, here it's here.

Great article thanks for posting Ed. If the other lot take offence then they have not read it all the way through. It is factual and sums the whole sorry mess up.

Suddenly cause its lennon, its an issue. The old saying, if you can't handle the heat get out the kitchen could not be truer. What about all the celtic staff before lennon?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shocking attitude towards not only an ex player and manager but someone how has Celtic blood running through this veins DN, showing yourself up to being a total person .

Henrik Larsson would be the ideal candidate for me, he would increase season tickets by thousands, the board would love him cause he's inexperienced and wouldn't be banging the door for millions and the players respect him, it's going to be very tough to qualify for the CL this year as some players will prob leave.i would give him a chance he's got at least a season to get things sorted before the new rangers are in premiership

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Henrik would be no yes man and the board would not like that methinks! Too early for me i'm afraid, and the King thinks so to I would say

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree it's maybe a little bit early however the chance doesn't come around often to manage a club like Celtic and who's to say that he won't be a success or who's to say a Davie moyes or Owen coyle is any better?there could be a gem in Larssons coaching abilities and with the facilities etc available to him, I think it would work for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, what if he fails? Would hate to see the fans turn against him and remember, there are a lot of younger fans who don't remember all the great games and times he gave us. They would be expecting this miracle worker and would quickly turn against him if it did not work out. No, Henrik is his own man and knows he is not ready, yet!

Gents I would love michael laudrup a proper football playing manager with an eye for a player. But honestly why not Owen Coyle plays good football and has a good knowledge of the game . Ok had a bad spell at Wigan but strachan got chased out of Coventry before he took over at Southampton and look what he did up here!

Celtic always

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - You don't want Michael Laudrup, Chalky. There were a lot of major problems behind the scenes at Swansea and most of them stemmed from Laudrup himself and some of his ideas and methods, he left them in a terrible mess. Laudrup was sacked after taking an unauthorised personal trip to France and giving players two days off after losing to West Ham, a game that the board felt was very important in the relegation battle. There was stories of players boozing on trips, he introduced a ruling that a maximum of 3 Spanish players could sit together at any table in the club canteen when they had lunch and on a training camp to Dubai the only rule set out to the players was the time they had to be on the bus to go to a 2 hour training session, the rest of the time they could do what they wanted, you can imagine what a crowd of wealthy footballers would get up to.
Oh and I almost forgot - he refused to take training if it was raining!}

One name I haven't heard mentioned, Willie McStay as manager/first team coach with a director of football to look after the mundane stuff, one thing for sure, youth would get it's chance
