See if it was up to me, i would boot shaun maloneys backside out of Celtic park ( he'd probably be injured for 6 years after that) I would accept any amount of money for Sammy ( EVEN 50P) And the first mug to give us over half a mill for broony, i would snap their hands off. I still can't believe some Celtic fans think he is a player, how a profesional football player can't pass a ball to a team mate, is totally beyond me. Kayal has done more this season, than Broony has done in 4 years. Ki dithers on the ball a bit too much for my liking, but he has 10 times more talent than Broony. I don't like giving our players a hard time, but these 3 players time is up, they have had their chance, and in my opinion, it is time to go. We have good midfielders now ( ledley, ki, kayal, wingers, commons, forrest, mccourt, ) buy another good one, and we will be sound in midfield!
Sign a big hitman, another good centre half, and hopefully big Fraser, and we are on our way!
Just my opinion, but i'm no the manager!

paddybhoy {Ed007's Note - I do rate Scott Brown Paddy, if he could just cut out the daft stuff and concentrate on playing football. I agree with what we need though, GK is a top priority said before it is shocking that a club like Celtic don't have a recognised No.1. Another CB is also needed, big Dan just isn't good enough IMO and we need a big strong CF like Sutton/Hartson. All this talk about 8/9 players is nonsense. At least Kayal has came out and said he is not going anywhere which should stop all the talk about him leaving, in saying that it didn't stop daft talk about Hooper}

50p for sammi-arse, get real he has a 3 year contract, we could get as much as 65p for him

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd also sell Maloney - too injury prone and Commons is a better, more consistent player. We always have Samaras and McCourt as backup there if we keep him and if we sell there'll be other left wingers out there for a decent price.

Based on last years signings Celtic's scouting team is looking world class at the moment so there's bound to be someone out there for less than Maloney's sale fee on a list in someone's jacket pocket.

As for Brown I'd also sell but only for the right money. Final year of contract and wouldn't want to lose him for nothing. That said he's had a great season and I can only see him getting better next season now that he's found his feet here and is playing right midfield.

Samaras is another I'd sell for the right money as I'd love to see the guy find a period of great form like when he started. However, an 'on his day' player is no good to Celtic who need consistent performers every week.
I'd rather have a consistent workhorse who'll score once every say two-three games or so with limited technical ability (Kenny Miller springs to mind as an example of this, not that I think he'll sign or that I'd want him) than someone like Sammy who only shows his quality (and I say this because the ability to be a top striker is there) every 5 or 6 games. It makes playing him a risk and we need someone we can rely on to hit the back of the net. {Ed007's Note - We are still strongly linked with Diogs from Feyenoord who is a winger}

4 incoming players - 2MF and 2FW. Are u mental? We need at least one more centre back. It wouldn't be fair on kelvin wilson to expect him to single handedly sort our defensive frailties.

can i just quash the shane long rumours, we have the golden boot of britain winner (best striker on goals to games ratio) in gary hooper, what we now need is a hartson/sutton type player, a strong forward who can bounce off defenders and hold the ball up and bring the midfield into the game, which samaras and murphy cannot do. heard that jay bothroyd had been linked any other suggestions?

looked at some of the comments about big Sammy , love him to bits but how long do you give him to come up with the goods CONSISTENTLY, ie. 5/6 games in a row . if he played fives in the celtic car park he'd bust his nut open running into lamposts as he never looks up

Shaun's best days are well & truly behind him sorry to say but injury prone & goes over too easily. Remind you of anybody???????????????
Marty bhoy {Ed007's Note - I'd take a £1 million for him, especially if the Biseswar rumours are true}

am I the only one who thinks big Dan is a walking time bomb ? he's so slow & mistimes tackles thet somebody with a bit of pace will destroy him especially in europe

I'm a rangers fan and i'm not here to mock anyone, i respect the rumours on here because everyone is possible as celtic are a resepected club in football. I've seen people linking lukaku, long, bothroyd, darren fletcher, keane, bellamy and given.

i personally don't see the lukaku rumour happening because lukaku has been linked to real madrid and chelsea for up to 17 million.

long could be true because i've only seen rumours of his price and those were around 7 milllion.

bothroyd is a possibility because he's obviously a free contract now, but i see him signing for a top half premier league club at the least considering his england call up was only earlier this year.

I thought Darren Fletcher was a very overrated player but i recently heard he has a 98% pass accuracy ratio which is outstanding! This move always has a possibilty conisdering people always say he's a celtic fan but fergie seems to think he does a good job for him so i don't see it. he would also be very expensive.

Keane is a move i can see happening because he would only cost a few million as he is out of favour at tottenham, keane is very good with link-up play and i think he would be a great partner for hooper so i see this happening.

Although theres no secret that Bellamy certainly enjoyed his time at celtic i believe he will go to Cardiff WHEN he leaves man city because they are always strong promotion contenders and his boy hood club.

I believe the only team standing in the way of the given deal is arsenal because we know as much as anyone else they need an experienced keeper who is proven in the premier league. Though Arsenal will be interested i think this will be the year he returns, i don't see another loan spell for foster considering what pardew said about the spl's standard.

I don't want DJ Campbell anywhere near a Celtic shirt, he is absolutely dross. Ok he scored 12/13 goals but what about the amount of chances he missed? Makes big Sammy look like Pele.

I think the South American market (outside Brazil and Argentina) could be very lucrative but i fear we may pay the price if we rely to much on these guys. With all due respect to the Honduran league, its not exactly chock full of talent.

I would LOVE to see Given in a Celtic shirt again but it's highly unlikely Man City would send him out on loan. They'll probably be looking for a permanent deal. .say maybe £2mil or £3mil, plus probably the £40k a week we'd need to pay him. .i'd still consider it a long shot.

This is meant to be a bit of banter.

I just want to say that your player, Ki Sung Yong, is absolute quality. Only 22, two great feet, fantastic player. Loved that goal he scored against motherwell. Would love a similar player at LFC.

I don't think we should dismiss the Kenny Miller rumour. He was harshly treated because of his goal scoring record but to be fair Sammy's record is crap aswell and Miller works alot harder than Sammy ever does.

SkySports mentions us being interested in Kenyan midfielder Wanyama.

Oh and to the moron that posted the "rumour" about Seedorf, he's just signed a new deal with Milan. {Ed007's Note - It was Peter Lawell that forced Miller out the door supposedly citing he wasn't good enough for Celtic, so I'd imagine his opinion hasn't changed of him and the rumours are it was more than footballing reasons he left over}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I don't see him coming back to us though. He's a hero over at Ibrox and a villain here as he was utter pants in a Celtic shirt and has an awful knack of hitting the net against us.

If anywhere he'll end up at Ibrox or may have another crack in the EPL with a team such as a newly promoted side or Wolves/Wigan etc. before retirement.

He's a natural goalscorer but his age won't count for him in this case which is the only reason why teams higher up the Premiership (i.e. almost guaranteed to be there for more than a year) wouldn't be interested.

why are people saying we are brining in 7, 8 players, neil lennon him self said it will be 2 or 3 high clas players and for the guy who said he like kenny miller they don't like each other {Ed007's Note - Celtics policy this window is and should be quality over quantity, expect more departures than arrivals}

stipe pletikosa could be the answer to the keeper problem. hes desperate for 1st team football and spartak moscow can't give him that next year so will be only £1-2m. only 32 as well so can get a good few years out him.

Am rangers mad and have a banter on both sides its jst fun. A seen the boyd and henrik argument there aint 1 henrik is the best forward the spl has ever seen fact and to tell use the truth and a think u celtic and gers fans wil agree if jelavic stays way us a while he could score more than boyd easy but money talks. But ova the years we have both had great players and we both have such a great history lets not forget that and what would we be without each otha anyway 25 in a row here we go lol
