The game I watched continuously as a youngster was the 4-2 victory in the last game of the season at Ibrokes in 1983.It was the day Dundee Utd won the league.
At half time Rangers were winning 2-0 and Dundee Utd were also winning 2-0 at Dundee.
Celtic came back and won 4-2 with great commentary from Morton fan Arthur Montford and Dundee Utd won the league by winning 2-1.
If Dundee had scored an equaliser to make it 2-2 the title would have be tied with the same amount of points, the same goals scored and the same goals against.
The head to head was also the same with one victory each and 2 draws. Celtic did score one more in aggregate over their 4 head to head matches.
I don’t think head to head counted years ago and the league title would probably have been decided by a play off final game at Hampden.
Celtic and Dundee brought back a 5 goal swing in the 2nd half but still came up short. It was also Nicholas and McNeill as manager their last game first time around.

For me the 7-1 victory in the 1957 league cup final against rangers will always be my favourite game, I was eight at the time too young for my father to take me, so had to listen on the radio and as we were underdogs what a feeling as the goals were scored. I know many will have the European cup victory as their favourite, but in fifties when we didn’t have much success to win by that margin against them was something special.

Ur trying to shoehorn sutton in mate but no way does he deserve a place in defence, I'd have him next to henke anyway and i'd put stubbs in next to van dyke.

3 bullying centre backs. kt and Jackie up and down the wings in defence and attack. lambert controlling the midfield and protecting the back petrov hard work and brilliance helping both in defence and attack. and lubo supporting the front 2 my instructions for him would be go do what you do. and Larsson and Sutton just doing what they do linking up brilliantly. was a toughie between Fraser and boruc.

I agree Malky, Edouard deserves his place alongside the king. He's the classiest, most complete forward we've had since Henrik. What a player, and still developing.
