Do u know lads I was sitting at the game today and big billy popped into my head and how I'd not seen him in a while! Then I read what him and his family are going through and devastated is an understatement! I knew he wasn't keeping well but had no idea it was this bad. YNWA big man HH.

Just back from game and good result again but like last week a bit flat and not quite as fluid as earlier in season. You get the sense somebody is due a pumping though and maybe we're keeping our powder dry for the 'Glorious 12th' 🍀.

I think Eric and Boyata are a better pairing. Apart from a couple of ropey passes in the 1st half Boyata was excellent, like a totally new player and Eric is as solid as a rock although a bit on the short side. A good solid performance and Dembele is class, his 1st was a peach.

Brendan said in his pre-match interview that jozo had a slight injury from Friday's training that they wanted to wait till today to re-asses but didn't want to risk him.

I think we have 3 great pairings at centre back now n on form probably boyata n schviatchenko for me, at the moment although I think big simu is class.
Thought we controlled the ball overall, Hamilton were organised n got in amongst us which made us play back the way a bit more in the 1st half, dembele 1st was a belter. 2nd half I thought we were much better, gms came onto a game specially taking players on. We do miss Roberts n rogic in the attacking 3rd though.
However solid 3 points and another win for the mighty Glasgow Celtic.
Here we go ten in a row.

Croybhoy-I thought Gamboa had a really good game today as well and KT was the usual class act at left back. Dembelle's goal must be a contentebder for goal of the season. 🍀.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 19:19:22
Agree JFP, Gamboa was excellent, very fast with skill also. KT is just a star, hope we get a good few years out of the bhoy, lads like that who genuinely love the club with that talent are few and far between. Seems to have his head screwed on also.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 19:49:04
Would like to see Gamboa having a run at defenders more often. There was a few times today where he had space in front of him but opted to play the ball back or inside. (Maybe he's had it drummed in to him that keeping possession is his first priority. ) Apart from that I agree he had a good game and Boyata strolled through the game looking rather classy.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 20:16:50
I have to say, I thought Boyata was outstanding today, I watched him from start to finish and I am amazed at the transformation from last season. His composure and vision were a joy to watch and although one Swallow doesn't make a Summer, Brendan may just have found a player without breaking the bank.

Croybhoy, I think KT is the best full back at Celtic Park since Danny McGrain and better going forward than Danny was. If Dembelle is worth £30m so is KT for me I think he's that good though hope like you it's not for a long time if ever he leaves. Very seldom you see a full back have as big an impact on the game as KT does. His delivery into the box is first class. 🍀.

Boyata an jozo for me as they can commmand in tbe air better than sviatchenko is headers at clearing where woeful today.

25 Feb 2017 21:23:40
KT just as good in the tackle as he is going forward rare in a modern full back for me best player at Celtic superb.

25 Feb 2017 22:18:35
The bhoys definitely a star and easily a £30 mil plus player, along with Dembele. We are lucky to have them. Good to see Lennoxtown produce that calibre of player. Can only remember Danny McGrain at the end of his career but if he's talked about at that level then we have a player and hopefully for a few years yet.

26 Feb 2017 08:42:36
I remember D Mcgrain breaking the line against Wales in the home internationals. He tackled their LB on the half way line and sprinted through on his own only to be fouled in the penalty area by the backtracking welsh defender. Ref was so far behind he was still in the scotland half and did not give a penalty. He was world class that day, electic pace and tackled like a demon. No one could get past him and remember he could play on the left too. I also have a memory of JS setting a tactical master class against Hibs when he pulled he whole team to the left and Mcgrain on the right to destroy their defence.

When eboue is fit (I'm presuming he was signed to be a first team player) who moves to the bench?

Rotation with Armstrong/ biton?

Separate point what about bitons new hair do?

When you consider that both Henderson and McGregor are there or abouts domestically at the least with Christie also there its a pretty nice situation we are pondering. For me for dynamism goal threat n energy its got to be armstrong. Biton style is slower n while he is improved this year armstrong has went streets ahead.

First me Armstrong has time be in the team.

Bitton for the chop.

Armstrong could be our future captain if he continues as he is.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 12:59:16
We have a great blend of styles with Brown, Armstrong, Rogic, Eboue, Henderson, Bitton and McGregor - not including the wide men and young Christie out one loan and when we finally get rid of Commons, Allen and possibly GMS, we might even be able to add more quality?
Roberts would be a dream signing, but highly unlikely and I would like us to sign another decent striker to replace Ciftci, especially with Griffiths missing so much football for one reason or another and maybe not in BR's favour?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 13:08:03
With Rogic injured I'd like to see Armstrong playing as a No. 10 with Brown and another behind him. Possibly Eboue?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 13:15:30
No way I would move Armstrong anywhere. He's playing the best football of his career right not why change anything?
For me I can't see biton being here next season.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Feb 2017 13:49:27
It's obvious there are too many midfield players, at least four will have to be moved on.

25 Feb 2017 19:21:57
Kevbhoy what makes you think Eboue is going to make it. From what i have seen he has a long way to go to get into the first team squad. I am sure BR will improve him but does not look up to it at this minute.
