Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

yes some spl form is not the best and shpolud be better ,but the facts are we are top othe league with a game in hand ,we are one good result away from ko stages of cl with europa guarenteed, nl has done this with no real financial backing from the board, this is also a young squad with only a couple of seasons behind them and is still trying to evovle into a settled team, reading thru the timternet you would think we where in a relegation battle with some of the posts, since the end ofthe stein era ive seen some real ****e celtic teams and followed them with no hope of winning anything , this team though needs support not because the are ****e but along with nl the are on a learning curve and are far from the finished article but with a bit of experience can go on to bigger things ,,,, deep river bhoy

I agree we should be happy with our lot. We have had a lot of bad injuries and have had to chop and change the team so often on top of playing 2 games every week. Also think Scott Brown should go and have his operation now he is good for us but not as a part time player. We need more consistency within the squad. We have a young team lets get behind them and the manager they will grow in stature and stop putting them down they will do us proud.

Well said deep river boy, support the team instead of slagging them off and calling for Lenny's head.

i see the zombies are asking for public inquiry this is the same people who was against any inquiry or anyone asking questions when they looked guilty now they changed their tune i agree their should be an inquiry but it should include everything the running of oldco why it was sold so cheaply why are they still allowed to use the same name after ripping off creditors and the taxman last year and why green is saying he bought the business side but surly the business side is where the debt belongs ... lets have a public inquiry and get it all out in the open once and for all and not just let sevco cherry pick what questions are asked then we can put the whole thing to bed

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Good post for the sake of Scottish football an enquiry into how Rangers have disgraced Scottish football by their antics then and now should be investigated

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree, and I think the people involved in the investigation should come from without this country,ie England or Wale's. Then no one can allege that they had a vested interest.

Insolvency regulations state they should not be using any name or similar club colours or branding of the old club founded in 1873. That club is being liquidated. At least the main stream media are stating its a new club. (Newco has never played in SPL or Europe - Lord Nimmo Smith.
The old club also broke SPL player registration rules and titles will be stripped from the old dead club. As stated Greens new club has zero titles as it has never played in the SPL.
Cannot believe McCoist and McCulloch coming out for SDM and pinning the blame to Whyte.
Whyte was gullible enough to buy a club depending for survival on Ally McCoist getting into Group stages of CL. I'm afraid McCoist will never ever get to Group Stages with ANY club EVER.

Agree3 Disagree0

Business is about risk and uncertainties.
Many businessmen wish they can go back in time and make different decisions.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It's best to accept that what's done is done and it was their decisions. You cannot jail a football club owner for getting decisions wrong. SDM could have made different better decisions. CW was forced into his due to no champions league or Europa income. (Thanks Ally!)...

lot of talk the last few months was hooper going to l/pool southampton
etc for 6million. i would grab it with both hands and try and get shane
long from west brom who is good in the air and covers every blade of
grass every game i watch him play.
i feel he would offer us more than hooper

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I was about to post the same am the first one on here against fans wanting to sell players but i would have hooper out the door in jan if he keeps performing like that he could turn out another iggy hes not interested and he could end up worth nothing

Agree3 Disagree1

No idea why your throwing izaguirre in with Hooper mate. He had a broken leg and has turned it around, he was playing well before his hamstring injury at tannadice. Solid and set up winner against Spartak then had a great game against Hearts, Excellent in 5-0 win against St Mirren, Defended well and stuck to the task in the 2-1 defeat in the nou camp. Everyone had a shocker against Killie at home, Then everyone was excellent against St.Johnstone in the 5-0 cup win, and finally he was having a good game before he pulled up against Dundee Utd, 2-0 up at the time.

Gary Hooper is a lazy bast*rd who clearly isn't interested in risking getting injured and missing out on a move to the Premiership in january, and that sh*te infuriates me.

Izaguirre is the best left back in the country and the best we have had in years, i'm pleased we have him. We are not the same team when he's not in the starting 11 in my opinion.

Agree4 Disagree3

@ 2 i wasnt criticising iggi i was using his situation as an example his first season he was linked to everyone in epl before his injury now he lost form no one is showing interest the same will happen to hooper only different reasons one was through injury the other is just fat and lazy but the out come will be the same

Agree0 Disagree0

Suits me fine Izaguirre isnt being linked with moves to the EPL. It affected his form the first time round. Since his injury he has taken time to get back to his best but before his hamstring injury he was getting there. I know being linked to big moves is obviously a sign they are doing well but its a double edged sword.

Bought my little ghirl in her first Celtic kit today. She's 6 months. Her little face lit up when she saw it lol. Think she likes hooper because whenever he has the ball she says hoo hoo lol. The passion is already with her. Disappointed with today's result and performance. Think players like ibrahim, kayal, miku, lassad and young Dylan need a run in the team

Im sorry guys but if it wasnt for the champions league the lennon would be out the door in my opinion, surely his record sofar this season isnt far off john barnes!

@ 1 & 2 ... am more inclined to think yous are zombie supporters in here trying to stir it up and make out celtic fans are arrogant childish trouble makers like your own supporters to me celtic fans are more friendly and allow fellow supporters their right to opinion

Agree8 Disagree5

Just because someone doesn't like Lennon doesn't make them a Rangers fan, he isn't doing a good job.

Agree7 Disagree8

That's some fettish you have there henke.

Agree6 Disagree0

But we are in the Champions League..no point using situations that don't exist.

Rangers are not in the SPL either & i'm not sure what kind of challenge the current Rangers team would give anyway.

The complacancy is beyond a joke & maybe this is where Neil Lennon's inexperience shows. I won't be calling for his head though ~ Mrs E

I think some of our players are coasting in SPL games and they must improve their attitude.
I also think Lennon must give players like McGeouch a chance rather than McCourt who has had his chance. Also Miku and Lassad must be given more game time.Rogne too, although he seems injury prone.
People are criticising Hooper but if like Brown he is carrying an injury then Lennon must rest him.
I do not agree with the tiredness excuse per say, but I think Celtic must learn to cope with both high octane CL games and mundane SPL games. Timalloy
PS on a brighter note on TSFM it is saying their sources say HMRC WILL appeal.

Agree7 Disagree1

OP Thank God your opinion doe's not count as far as sacking Neil.
Tambhoy

Agree7 Disagree0

Am not sure lennon gets all the credit for the champions league imo players up their game to put their self in the shop window

Agree8 Disagree1

Every poster is entitled to their own opinion, but take a step back. Neil has taken a young squad into major European football and is punching well above his weight. Our domestic form is disappointing to say the least, but I'm not overly worried at the moment. Despite poor results, we are still top of the league with a game in hand and Neil knows this. He can afford to take one eye off the league in order to progress further in the CL, after all, to get to the last 16 will bring in more income than winning the league and both cups combined! If you were to ask me at the start of the season if I would take Celtic being top of the league with a real possibility of advancing past the group stages of the CL, I would have bit both hands off at the wrist!
The league will look after itself, as every other team will beat or draw with each other. We will get back to winning ways against the Jambos.

BigRab

Agree3 Disagree0

Neil's performing a balancing act at the moment i believe he would love 2 tear a few of the 1st team a new 1 & deservedly so in my opinion. The reaction after today & previous results is way over the top we have no divine right & saying it's Caley or st Johnstone we should b humping them is stupid. It's 11 v 11 & yes it's not been good enough, having watched Hooper as we hav over previous seasons we know coming back from injury he takes 2 or 3 games & then it's hoops der it is ! GBNL celtic to the core. AbS 1888

Agree2 Disagree0

In reply to post 9) So let me just make sure i'm getting this right. Lennon doesn't deserve credit for our champions league exploits the players do, but todays result should rest at the managers door and not the players. Go and have a quiet word with yourself ya mad goon.

Gary Hooper was again abysmal today, absolutely abysmal. You could go on about service till the cows some home but any good striker worth his salt goes looking for the ball when they are not getting the service they want and i just think he's a lazy bast*rd.

Agree2 Disagree2

@ 12 lennons job is to motivate the players and get the best out of them so far in the league he has failed we had two good results in champions league and imo in both these games the players showed what they are capable of and also shows that lennon isnt getting the best out of them in the league and cant get these players to play at their potential imo these players perform to win a move and put their self in shop window and not because of tiredness or other pathetic excuses you hear that imo is a managers problem

Agree2 Disagree1

@ 12 where in my post ( 9 ) do i mention the blame today falls at lennons door ?? if your going to reply to posts read the actual post and stop hallucinating things

very dissapointed with todays result, now before someone comes on complaining about comments like mine just remember,if it wasnt for the champions league results this season their would be major concerns from most people about the results in the league this season.....im fed up listening to people saying because the newco are in div 3 that these results wont matter, well im sorry,i for 1 are fed up with these results, whilst i know we have no given right to win every game,we should never have dropped the amount of points we already have this season.....time for these players who are on a very healthy wage to waken up to our bread and butter compitition!

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Its time the fans paid less attention to whats happening at Ibrox and focused on what is going on at Celtic Park. We have been playing badly at home since the Barcelona game. The SPL is our bread and butter and the sooner the players take this on board the better. The atmosphere today minus the GB was terrible. Neil needs to kick some butts ASAP. Julieghirl.

Agree7 Disagree1

OP I can see were your coming from and agree, the PLAYER'S should be giving themselve's a good shake. As far as the money they earn, I don't see how that is anything to do with the way they play, your either a good player or your not. I pay nearly £600 for my season ticket and i want to be able to see my team break down a staunch defence.

Yet again another woeful result in the spl against a team who conceded five goals last week to a poor Motherwell team but can come to parkhead and leave with all 3 points is an utter disgrace if only Inverness could play Celtic 30 odd games a season they might get somewhere but nl seriously get it together your only as good as ur last result

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Why just blame Neil Lennon ?. Should the player's who can't pass a ball to each other get off scott free.
Tambhoy

Agree3 Disagree3

If these players are only willing to turn up in big european games i would cash in on every one of them and boot them out the door .... players should earn their place in the team week in week out

Agree4 Disagree1

Re. Tambhoy

Lennon got the credit for masterminding a win against Barca

he should also be able to be criticised for poor performances. 17 points dropped in 14 games, and 4 home league wins this season is unacceptable

Yes the players are poor, but Lennon has to take the blinkers off and stop picking the same players week in week out
