Did anyone see rogic's goal for australia? The feint and finish with the outside of his boot was class.

{Ed007's Note - Yes mate (yes)

He has to start every game.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Spot on, I've said it for months. If Rogic is fit he has to start in the CAM role, especially with the form Johansen has been been in this season.}

24 Mar 2016 21:41:51
Ive got a bad feeling he could PL's next big money punt.
We need to get him signed up on contract first and foremost.
I have a mental image of Pete passing his dipped tea bag over to park, chucking a uht milk single serve (blagged from the snack van) and halfin a savers digestive biscuit wrapped in kitchen roll from an old aunts funeral. Dollar signs leaping out their eyeballs like warner brothers characters!

{Ed007's Note - That's quite a picture!}

On a serious note he is the best and to be honest the only player I want in that position. I think when fit and the team gets their act together he could get 15+ goals a season, few wonders, few neat ones in the box and a few more from getting stuck in.
I just don't see any of our AM options with his ability or strikers out on loan or in the wings for that matter.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - There was never any doubts about his ability it was just a case of getting him - and keeping - him fit. I don't know if he's at the level to be playing 90 mins every week yet but he should be starting and Johansen or Commons coming on to replace him as the opposition tire should be enough to cause any domestic opposition problems.}

25 Mar 2016 01:37:10
Rogic over Commons every day of the week for me. Commons has been fantastic for us but he's past it I'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think the fact we're even talking about him like this shows how far he's came under RD. After going back to Australia and his injury problems I honestly expected him to leave and pop up at some European team in a few years, it's a testament to the lad's character that he's came back and worked hard to get to where he is. Did anyone really expect Rogic to have the season he's had back in August when we were signing Allan to join the ever growing list of CAMs already at the club?}

I think it also highlights how knowledgeable and progressive Deila is. Deila and his team have managed the players excellently in terms of training and playing, as a result we are seeing a lot less injuries and a lot of injury prone players, remaining relatively injury free.

This is something he gets little recognition for from most fans and it irks me at times when people don't realise that much of his team selection is built upon sports science, so he knows who can play and who needs rested. This is why we see a lot of rotation in the areas that require the bulk of the running. However, I notice that some fans just complain and say things like he does not know what he is doing or he does not know his best team.

Been saying for ages that rogic should be at the front of the list for CAM. He should start with commons as an impact sub.

Rabmac i don't think we have any more or any less injuries. Rogic and Tierney have been the bright spots of the season so credit to Ronny and his team for that one and getting Rigic ready to play. He des look like a player now. i am pretty sure we are going to have Ronny here for a few years as long as he keeps winning the league. Not my choice at all but that now looks as if it's going. On the plus side, teams that stick with managers sometimes reap the benefit in the long term? So maybe he will bring players through, the problem will always be however if he will be allowed to keep the players he develops so he can build something. I don't think that will happen so if Rogic continues to develop don't expect to see him at Celtic for much longer.

Johnnymac, you are never going to eliminate injuries completely as football is a contact sport.

However, what you can do is reduce the chance of injury and strengthen muscle around the problem areas so injuries are less likely to keep recurring. We have seen that with Deila's management of James Forrest and Tom Rogic.

Rabmac James Forrest never gets a game.

I don't agree with you at all there rab . If managers are picking teams on sports science ( whatever that is ) and not ability then there is something wrong .

I still haven't heard Rogic or his agent saying he needs to move to a higher grade of football, until I hear that I am confident he won't be moving anywhere.

I can't understand why any one would disagree with some one saying R. I. P to Johan Cruyff? One of the best players of all times and a master tactician Who will be sadly missed in the world of football Rest in Peace oranje leraar.

Can't understand how anyone could disagree with saying RIP to one of the best players of all time, maybe one of the braindead could enlighten us to their reason for disagreeing?

Either than or they're disagreeing with him being one of the true masters of the game which is Ludacris too!

See we are linked with 20 year old oxford winger . (watched a you tube video of him 17 mins lo g and it didn't flatter him at all looked no better than gms or even forrest. ) . not putting a downer on the boy but why sign him when we have Calvin miller playing great in youth / development let's get boys like him into 1st team games and see what they can do.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - if it is Roofe, just watch him in the FA Cup this season, the lad has something.}

24 Mar 2016 08:59:39
No it's not him ed it's Irish boy. can't remember the boys name!

Agree0 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - O'Dowda? Very hit and miss from what I have seen. Not convinced he will have what it takes to step up, but you never know.}

24 Mar 2016 09:15:03
That's the one ED. never seen him play but got to agree with DRB. what's the point of having these promising youngsters in our youth set up if they don't get the chance to play! It was the same with the Patrick Roberts signing, what does bringing in these youngsters from other clubs say to our youth players!

Agree0 Disagree5

24 Mar 2016 21:51:53
I would like as many as possible of our youngsters get meaningful game time, some may unexpectedly make the step -up . If we don't play them we might miss out on a star or two every so often.

We won't be buying any individual players from Oxford Utd . It just doesn't make sense, as we will be getting the whole lot soon .
