Big Sutton was brilliant on bt last night with fat Sally commenting that the killie boy should be red carded for a foul on father Jack big sutt said the sfa have set the precedent after the buffallo got away with 3 assaults. case class me Lord.

Just on the Buffalo and maybe a little bit tongue in cheek here but did he get let off with another one last night I'm sure if I'm wrong you guys will have better knowledge than me definitely ed will but I'm sure deliberate hand ball in the opponents box trying to unfairly score and conditions the ref is still a red card offence but as I say with all the rules changes and our country's officials interpretation of them I could be wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 02:59:20
Anyone who offers big muney for buffalo brains need there brains examined this boy is to much of a gamble he hasnโ€™t done nothing of note how much did kris boyd fetch again? And he scored for fun versus nobodyโ€™s.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 06:21:36
@Jaw, a deliberate handball to deny a goal is a red. For some reason deliberate handball to score a goal is only a caution. Not sure I get it but thems the rules.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 08:34:37
poor guy was trying to avoid a hand ball. You can see that he throws his hands forward out of the way and the ball strikes them.
In another pic, you can see (if you really look) that a wasp has gone up Broonies shorts and the man was just trying to kill it with his boot before it stung Broony in a sensitive place.
Same with KT, He can see that KT's momentum might make him fall and injure himself so the guy is just trying to stop him falling and getting hurt.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 11:09:36
Spot on Tim! Also, Ralston had an itchy back and asked Buffalo brains to run his studs over the itch. Did you not see Anthony's face, like a dog getting it's belly rubbed!

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 11:18:27
@Jimtim thanks for you superior knowledge I didn't actually see the hand ball so don't even know if it was deliberate but it was hotly debated on the way home from the st Mirren game and one of the bhoys read out a fifa rule he found on line saying a deliberate hand ball to gain an unfair advantage of scoring a goal or deceive the referee is a red card but I should know better than to believe things we read on line at times haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 12:15:15
100% deliberate handball and the reason its not a red is simple

referee can obviously chalk the goal off so doesn't effect the games scoreline so therefore not a red card offence

deliberate handball for stopping a goal has to be a red as can alter outcome of the game ie games 1-1, balled stopped on line stops 2-1 so red and penalty

explained in a more wordy way in sfa rules but that's the basics

and im a gers fan fyi.

According to another web site Maxwell and the SFA have met with Celtic regarding Beaton's report on the Morelos Incidents and will not divulge what was said. I am guessing if that is true Do you think Celtic will press it any more? I think not.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2019 20:37:58
I see that Maxwell at the SFA has told Lawwell that we won't be seeing the match report and Beaton will not be asked to explain his lack off inaction.

I also noticed that this has been sneaked under the radar, which I find a bit dodgy.

Hopefully, our club do not let this go and get lawyers involved to see what our next step should be to hold this corrupt organisation to account.

Our board want them back. No doubt.

The old firm is easy cash for business men, always has been.

That's why our board have done the bare minimum in terms of chasing them for their actions.

Weah looks like the best player in the league already ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ€.

25 Jan 2019 12:16:17
from a gers man its safe to say Weah is a talent and could be great. however i have said before that will be a different Weah on games at fir park etc against hammers throwers.

ED, you mentioned Kalas a few weeks ago. Are we still interested? And do you expect any more signings?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Yes and yes.}

24 Jan 2019 16:06:56
I think bringing in Weah and Burke has possibly been done with Edouard in mind. His best performances came pre season when he was playing off Moose and had a bit of freedom to drop deeper or drift wide. Being the focal point and staying up top all the time isn't his main strength. The fact that Weah and Burke can play wide or central will allow our attackers to interchange positions and that constant movement will be a nightmare for defences. Another thing I'd like to point out is that although Weah's two goals have been tap-ins, both times he's had to take a deft touch beyond an onrushing keeper - great composure for such a young guy!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I said the same on a thread the other day, Kev about us possibly seeing the formation Rodgers used with Edouard and Dembele preseason.}

24 Jan 2019 17:20:42
Even if there are games where they don't score, if our attackers are dragging defenders here, there and everywhere imagine the space that'll create for guys like like Rogic, Christie and McGregor.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It doesn't matter if there's space if we're just stroking the ball from side to side and back to the CBs & 'keeper.}

24 Jan 2019 17:44:59
No need to worry about that Ed, we're slowly but surely filling all positions with wingers.

I am looking forward to seeing bayo and one of the others.
He seems like he will play more in the box than the rest.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 20:10:24
Thereโ€™s going to be a few disappointed players soon when Bayo gets fit . We have Weah, Burke, Sinclair, eddy, forest, Mikey and Bayo to fit into 3 spaces. It will keep people on their toes in the squad but itโ€™s going to be hard to break into that area . .

Looking forward to a great weekend as travelling from limerick with the Sean South CSC for the Hamilton match on Saturday. We have over 100 members coming so going to be a super weekend. The club's band the Celtic ramblers are also coming and playing two gigs in the squirrel on sat after the match and Sunday afternoon. Heres to a great trip a win on Saturday.

Talk about hitting the ground running.
I wasn't to sure of how the 2 loans would settle but they look as if they have been there for a while.
They have fitted in effortlessly.
The enthusiasm of weah especially seems to have lifted the place.
I think we should enjoy him while we can.
The Bhoy looks a star in the making.

Still got Bayou, Edouard and Griffiths to add to the mix, exciting times ahead.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 16:20:47
On top of that we have Sinclair back to what we expect and just wait 'til Christie, Cal-Mac, JF and Rogic find their shooting-boots anaw. I know there are still concerns about defensive issues, but as long as we score more than we concede - who cares (for now anyway) .

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 16:28:23
I think it was ed that said the problems were more our options up front and not killing off teams highlighting our problems at the back.
Maybe for once you might be right ed๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Cheeky sod! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘ I've been saying for the past 18 months that there's a lack of creativity in the attacking midfield department. Sinclair has been going through a bit of a lull but still producing, Forrest is still a bit inconsistent but nowhere near as bad as he was and Rogic is a luxury player for me, he doesn't put in enough work and if it was up to me he would be coming off the bench in tighter games where we're looking to kill off tired out teams camped on their 18 yard line.}

24 Jan 2019 17:52:03
Think Griffiths days are numbered RodgersAtWork.
When he does come back, he'll take a while to get up to speed I'd imagine and given the strike force we have at our disposal I honeslty can't see him getting back into the team. Think a return to his beloved Hibs beckons tbh. Really like the wee man and hope that helps him enjoy life again.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Where are Hibs getting the money? He only signed a new four-year deal in September or October.}

24 Jan 2019 18:23:27
Agree think the wee man will have to settle for a spell on bench if at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 18:52:10
It's only my opinion ED, but I think he'll struggle to get back into the team and having him kicking his heals on the bench won't do either part any good. Obviously we have a ridiculous amount of players on the wage bill and need to get numbers reduced and because of this I thought Leigh might be allowed to cut short his deal. I take it you disagree so I'm wondering if you see him as having a future at Celtic? Only a question so go easy ๐Ÿ˜‚.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't see Griffiths as a starter but he hasn't been since Rodgers came in and it doesn't seem to bother him so I think going forward he will start on the bench. The only other realistic option is a move down south but unless LG's had a massive change of heart he definitely doesn't fancy doing that again.}

24 Jan 2019 20:00:41
I think his days at parkhead could be numbered tae
He was nearly out the door before and was lucky Ronny fought his corner
I also don't think Rogers is a major fan of his.
Think it could all depend on what Celtic would ask for and if he'd take wage cuts though.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2019 15:22:19
Iโ€™m surprised you all think Griff is on the road out. I still think heโ€™s the best striker weโ€™ve got and although he hasnโ€™t played much recently, for a variety of reasons, I still think he can force his way back into the side.

24 Jan 2019 12:35:42

Really enjoyed the game last night and like most on here I think Oliver Burke and Weah give us different options upfront.
Question for ED007, do you know if there is any options to extend one or both players loans by a further year?
Also ED007 hope you received the wee email I sent to you hail hail.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'm just catching up with things, Tim as I've been laid up with a bad chest infection for a few days. As far as I know there's no option to extend either Weah or Burke's loan.}

We are going to be hit with a defender crisis in Summer if we do not sign some defenders. We have spent โ‚ฌ2.2m on one player. Izzy, Gamboa, Benkovic, Lustig Boyata all out of contract with us in the summer. That leaves us with 6 defenders. 3 of which aren't good enough for a starting place in the squad. But we aren't going to buy any defenders are we. Bad planning again celtic.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2019 15:45:26
If a quality CH cane in do you think he would be happy being Brendan's third choice as DB and PB are automatic picks when fit. I still think we will get Hendry out and get Mackena for a few million plus Johnny Hayes and a loan of Morgan.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 19:22:08
Defeats the point pud. We will be desperately stuck for defenders going into qualifiers. That is no good at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 20:03:13
Why would a quality CB be third choice?
If he's quality he would be a starter and boyata would be benched.
One thing is for sure though.
McKenna is NOT quality.

Alright ed, great results last night! Was just wondering if young Ewan Henderson has signed a new deal or are negotiations still ongoing? Great ball from him for the 4th goal last night.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't think there's any negotiating taking place, it's more a take it or leave it offer on the table from what I hear.}

24 Jan 2019 10:48:38
Hope he signs a new contract as he is well regarded and is tipped for success.

Such a shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He landed awkwardly against Airdrie and done his ankle ligaments.}

24 Jan 2019 09:36:51
Rodgers saying he doesn't know much about the new winger but did say he's quality and one for the future, and the media have pounced on it, this is how big clubs work it's impossible for a modern manager to personally check on every single player they're interested in, that's why we employ scouts and guys like Lee congerton, although we could just sign a couple of over the hill hasbeens with no sell on value.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2019 09:21:12

Oli burk i think will get better withmore game time and the bhoy timo
Wow what a prospect that bhoy is could and probably should have scored 6 in his first 2 games for us
With french eddie / griff/ sinclair/ forrest/ rogic/ mcgregor/ and the bhoy buyo we do look really strong in the final third of pitch
Just hope the defence can stay solid for rhe remainder of the season
8 in a row not far away bhoys

Great performance all round I agree and it's amazing what a couple of good performances do - for the team and the support - not to mention, it's a very welcome distraction from the 'windae'.
Scott Brown in particular has really benefited from the break and looks like his old self - involved and immense the whole game.
We were all but waving goodbye after the Ibrox slump and as you say the new arrivals have given us added energy and ability.

There has been a lot of moaning about defensive signings - or the lack of them - even though we have the best defensive record in the SPL and at least two players for every position.
Obviously things will change in that area come the summer and The Board (who clearly make all signing decisions) have a job to do.
In the meantime, even if we get shot of two or three surplus before the deadline, it's obvious we now have more 'fire-power' than at any recent time in our clubs history - with goal threats all over park - and the squad. So please appreciate what we have.

There may be a bad result or two down the line; but when we play like this there is no team (or official) to stop us and as was seen last night other teams will drop points as well as I am sure there are time-served proud managers up here who don't want to finish behind a dubious cash-backed rookie.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 07:53:01
Good morming fellow Bhoys
I thought we looked magnificent lastnight
Playing like a young fearless team

I for one won't be worrying if we don't sign a quality CB in this window as it looks like Brendans policy for the remainder of the season is that we will score more than we concede with free flow attacking football

Burke and Weah fit right into our style of play and will also give Griff the push he needs to get back to his best

This same tactic worked with improving Forrest when Roberts came in

Oh and i nearly forgot we still habe Bayo to come in.

I see Brendan's confirmed the boy Shved from the Ukraine is coming in. Bit concerned by his statement though when he says " we've got about a million wingers, don't know much about him, he'll probably go out on loan". That doesn't sound to me like a player he's been chasing to get in so who's signing him?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Jan 2019 07:15:46
This is how football teams all round the world operate.
Buy up exciting young talent and then develop them into 1st team players.
Can't see the problem here.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 07:49:06
The problem for me is Iโ€™d like the manager to know a bit about a player weโ€™re going to be shelling a couple of million pounds on. Especially in an area where he says himself weโ€™re well covered. This is the type of move the big big spending clubs do with the young guys, we need the first team improved in areas aswell as constantly bringing in projects.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 08:10:05
He also said the boy is one for the future and isn't for the first team right now.
Do you think Rogers personally knows every prospect brought into the club?
Should we stop planning for the future just because we need a couple of first team players?
Also how many of the players Rogers has identified have been of a first team standard so far?

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 08:35:39
That's all well and good kev signing unknown youths to develop, so long as the manager also gets his own number one targets that he picks.

He doesn't though and come next year when weah and Burke are away he will be expected to turn guys like him into the next lubo.

But Rodgers came into a struggling team and set it alight. Kicked off careers of guys like Armstrong, Christie, Boyata etc guys who looked finished here.

Saved us millions and earned us millions in sales. He deserves backed much more than he gets.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Jan 2019 09:54:52
If you are offered a player who value will increase and if you wait 6 months suddenly cannot afford. Then you buy earlier. I remember our previous signing policy plenty if said experienced professionals who in my opinion stole a career in the game. Brininging in young talent coaching them in a certain way will pay dividends in future when we have an array of very talented players. This is the future. As for now we have enough to win the league now we have strengthened. It also helps our homegrown so I am happy with our window and last two performances. The window is still open hold your concerns for now as we are going very well and opposed to our piss poor wannabees over govan way who are just a going concern. Enjoy the good times being a Tim.

What a wonderful evening.

Weah looks like a absolute gem!

Don't know if anyone heard, but after our match there was bit of buffering which meant changing the channel, but I inadvertently ended up on the currants channel to hear their commentator say that the only reason Worrwll made a mistake for Kilmarnock's first goal was because "Rangers were too good".
