I never want rangers to win, but i guess that our co-efficient has been helped, so looking at the bigger picture it's a good thing, my rangers supporting mates might want to start talking about football again, and have all been taken off 24hour suicide watch.

Lemonade stall? How cute. Did you think of that yourself? Or did you get help from a small child. Aw bless. Seriously though, football, not a business? I guess experts are wrong when they say "football is no longer a game, it's a business. All that time I listened to experts, when I should have listened to some random fella in scotland who has no affiliation with the professional game. And what's with the obsession that carrol was a make or break, much needed signing? Yeah they lost torres (who hasn't played well for a good year and a half), but they already bought a proven goalscorer, at both club and intetnational level, in Suarez. There was not the urgency to buy caroll that people seem to claim.

Re: Nice rant ben bhoy, maybe your business is some sorta Easy Learning Company due to literacy skills. learn to read son.

Liverpool have needed and wanted another striker long before torres was sold (ed will confirm this) so after losing torres so late in the window it was imperative they moved quickly. This forced speed, requirement and his importance to Newcastle were the main reasons for the inflated price and the fact that 'pool had no idea how quickly Suarez would settle meant that they really needed another striker. Ngog & Kuyt have shown they are not prolific up front.

{Editor's Note: To be fair Liverpool had already been knocked back on Llorente and Gomez as well.}

P.S sorry i said saurez instead of jaurez (absolute nightmare on my part, ahm gutted at that one) " lets all do the Broony, lets all do the Broony"

I think quite a few of celtics players played well, i also think they were given the chance to play well however id say on the day hooper was the main difference.

: If i felt that buying that car was the difference between success and failure then yes you would pay over the odds for a car. . Yes Liverpool and Newcastle valued him at m but Im pretty sure they don't think he is worth that! value and worth are not the same thing, if you really did run your own company you would have known this! and football is not like any other business' . Q. you think it makes good business sense the wages that are paid by premiership clubs . . Tell you what since you "run your own business" or"lemonade stall" im guessing have a look at al the clubs wages in the premiership then look at the percentage these wages are compared to the overall running costs of the club and tell me that's good business sense! lol you don't earn money in football clubs anymore son! HALELUJAH! GTID has finally surfaced 3 whole days after sundays game, mind you only Davie T came on and said his bit, big respect davie t. The wages thing gtid, izzy is seemingly on 5 grand a week, and kayal won't be on much more, anyway who do you think was Celtics star player on sunday, ill give you a wee list to choose from, HOOPER, IZZAGUIRE, KAYAL, SAMARAS, MULGREW, BIG DAN (jelavic is still in his back pocket) or KRISS COMMONS, feel free to pick more than one. WE JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH!

paddybhoy

Re: I only post during work and i was off tues and Wed. no but commons is on more than any other player in the gers team that is the point i was making. Celtics best player on sunday was Weir easily the poorest game he has had for gers. Affected the whole team with him on the park.

So what you are saying is that liverpool knowingly paid well over the odds for a player who has been in court more times than he scored this season (or near enough). That is the biggest laugh of all. So if you needed a car, you'd pay well over it's value because you need it? Liverpool are NOT going to pay well over what they think a players value is. They would go bust. Business' can't run like that. It doesn't work. Believe me. I run a business. I know you can't pay well over the value of something. A value is only what a buyer and seller agree. Therefore liverpool must value him at 35 mill.
