Just had a listen to big Sutton getting tore right in to big DJ . Its quite possibly the greatest thing to happin on a phone in, in scotland. He was bang on the money with regards to DJ, a rangers party political broadcaster for years, big djs voice was wobblin like his big gut in his heydayπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. The truth always hurts.

{Ed007's Note -

23 Sep 2016 22:04:54
Absolutely ripped DJ a new one and the thing is that everything he said was true. Go on big man, stick it to them πŸ˜‚.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Sep 2016 22:29:18
Sounds like fat dj is about to start crying trying to get his words out well in big Sutton speaking the truth rather than being a cheerleader love it.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Sep 2016 22:41:32
Dj is what he is and he should have said that - trying to deny it is just nonsense.

He should a said i'm a ragers legend and I love the club - I am on this show to give the ragers perspective with my insider knowledge.

instead he tried to deny it - nuts

Sutton is a but of an arse too - but if that's his pitch fair enough - its only a game

journalism not football that is.

Agree3 Disagree3

23 Sep 2016 22:47:00
Totally agree. DJ should have just acknowledged it - he can't rely deny it - and take the power from the comment. He didn't - and he came across like a fool.

24 Sep 2016 02:31:54
Have to admit I'm really enjoying sutton back onside. Granted he is a bit of a fa**y but his better quotes will be fondly remembered in future years. As long as he tap dances on the line he will continue to get air time.
I don't bother too much with his article's apart from a grin and an odd chuckle. If he wants to keep cushty, and to be fair he has to and he has (to avoid paneling that little naff currie) .
That wee guy. He must keep well out the way. He probably has to.
He is a skin crawler. Loose the plot sutty, no whiteness off camera. I won't judge ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 07:00:33
DJ is as thick as his pal McCoist. He just spouts push and does not know to form an argument or back it up with facts. Sutton ripped him a new one and made him look extremely foolish.

The only downside for Sutton is that he will have made the knuckledraggers foam at the mouth. No doubt we will see a dossier on him soon, that contains his address and pictures of his children appearing on some blue website in the near future.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 07:55:47
Rab there was a petition and a send a email to bt sports for Sutton to be axed on Thursday I seen it by guess who lmao everything someone mentions the truth it's boycott start a petition or send angry emails and letters lmao.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 08:23:17
they are now starting a petition against fifa 17 game, they were excited to be back in the game until they saw the screenshots which shows the rangers players in a huddle b4 kick off lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 11:15:06
Love big Sutton all day long and they cannot handle the truth.
DJ is a deluded blue windbag and an alternative viewpoint to the biased, merchants of the biggest lie ever told is long, long overdue.
Rangers, The Rangers International Football Club, Sevco or whatever they choose to call themselves have always been too well represented on Scottish media outlets and the truth hurts.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 13:21:29
Johnstone is an embarrassment to punditry so biased stopped listening to Clyde cause of him and keevins never says anything negative about sevco.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 12:27:17
BFDJ was put in his place well and truly by big CS. Everything CS said was true and BFDJ had no reply whatsoever. Slagging CS for having 2 security guys with him on tue night was disgusting and says more about their fans than it does about Sutton.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 13:49:32
DJ tells us he is objective but when u look at his predictions in old firm games going back 25 years he picks the dead club 95% of the time, how the flip is that objective.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Sep 2016 18:51:02
I think we need to get off Gordon's back guys feck me. His tackle wasn't clever fair enough but there are enough people ripping the arse out it without us joining in. Fair do's bad tackle but heh ho rubbish happens. He's still the Celtic goalkeeper and has served us fairly well. For all his faults he's a good shot stopper and I'd have him in goal before Dotery Doris every day of the week. Here endeth the rant. C'mon the Hoops πŸ€.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

23 Sep 2016 19:13:14
While I think we could be doing with a better keeper, I would play Gordon until we get one. With regards to his tackle the other night, I think it has been blown out of proportion and can't believe people are still talking about it.

Agree4 Disagree4

23 Sep 2016 22:09:34
So we need to get off the back of one keeper, and come up with derogatory names for the other. Sounds about right.

Agree4 Disagree1

23 Sep 2016 23:49:25
Not a fan of de vries. I'd have Gordon in goal all day long until we get a quality replacement. Would still like to see this Fasan so can see what he all about.

Agree0 Disagree1

24 Sep 2016 03:01:07
CG/ Bruce Lee? That challenge was ludicrous. He should of been sent off. I can't belive he is being defended in any shape or form. It doesn't need anyone to rip the @rse out it? Your having a laugh. That ranks as one of the biggest footballing mistakes and lack of judgment I've seen him make so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 06:47:12
Howard Webb has said it was not a sending off, a yellow card was the correct decision!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 06:55:10
No one is denying it was a reckless challenge or that he was lucky to stay on the park. However, the way some of the people on here are banging on about it, you would think he murdered the player.

Anyway back to the footballing question, Dr Cries or Gordon? Out of those two I would take Gordon.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 09:55:10
At the moment Rab it's like deciding which nut you'd rather lose.

I was always against CG replacing FF. Nothing particular against CG, it was just a poor, cheap, unimaginative decision by JP/ PL, without a manager even at the club too. Every window since I've wanted a new GK. Sadly, De Vries was not the answer for me.

But I'd go with De Vries a little bit longer. I half expect him to start, and that CG was just getting a run out in the League Cup. It would be a pretty poor signing by BR if he reverted back to CG so soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 10:44:20
its not who is best - its to is the least bad atm

stick Sinclair in Goal - he'd probably do better than them - and score!

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 14:38:24
The run out and kick was his first time since the season he has ran out almost to the sidelines to challah a ball and messes up and no need to run out. Then he ran out and cost us a goal in CL which ducked out all of the moment the club had in Celtics park.
How many more goals must he give up in CL and EL before people say he is not good. in those 2 tourneys he has given an easy 4-6 goals from inter to this year. He is done! Dev and Fasan should have the gloves until a true #1.

Typical bash people for saying don't have a go at cg and call names but then you hypocritical turn it on yourself and insult the next goalie. You pose wtv sense you were trying or get through by done what you tell others not to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 11:18:07
All this talk about our keepers got me thinking of some of the characters we've had in goals for us Peter Latchford always gave me laugh, the other team would be attacking and Peter would be still leaning on the post waving to The Jungle until the last possible second and coming out for corners trying to catch the ball with one hand and waving The Bhoys up the park with the other hand, aye Peter was nuts lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Sep 2016 02:22:22
Think that's it. Keepers have to be brave and Gordon is as dangerous as a power cut at a coffee morning.

Sutton v DJ audio

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 18:48:42
Why is DJ allowed to go on air. DJ and his like would endorse violence against CS. Did he condemn McCoist for wanting to " out " the infamous panel that voted rangers down? I only hear DJ talk about how BIG Rangers are and there never appears to be an honest dissection of the good and the bad. He isn't impartial. Neither for that matter is McCann. The other pundits like Stevie Thompson and Michael Stewart are more balanced. Sutton sprays his gunfire in all directions. Hartson and Walker can be very damning but who ( really ) among former Gers are prepared to debate seriously TRFC demise? Who is brave enough?

First it was Chanel 4 slaughtered and remember the Herald and then the BBC.

The dislike and disdain for TRFC is borne from year after year of ugliness, denial, intransigence, and institutionally induced rights of privilege.

The world and Scotland has moved on. Fan bases have moved on. He game had moved on but sadly TRFC will appeal to the lowest denominator. If that means chairleaders and banning anyone or anything that moves against them to prosper as the " team than no one likes but they don't care " then fair enough

We aren't perfect but BFDJ isn't actually helping the cause. He is another individual in a long series of useless pundits that have inadvertently conspired to hold TRFC back from progress. They are so far removed from " where the world's at" it's frightening.

A huge missed opportunity for them. Disliked and almost irrelevant internationally.

They're aren't on their way back. This incarnation unfortunately could be uglier still when it comes to fairness and even handidness

I wish CFC fans would volunteers to make IBrokes a no go zone on principle.

ED- Quick question

Did I imagine it or was someone saying over the last few weeks that they'd like to take their daughter to a game, but perhaps couldn't get tickets or couldn't afford it?

I've got a few tickets for Saturday's game and, if this is/ was the case, I'd like to offer two tickets up to the person in question, so that he could take her.

Obviously if I have just dreamed this or I've gotten the wrong end of the stick - ignore me!

I've just seen the tackle by Craig Gordon on Alloa's Greig Spence. WTF?
Let's be totally honest, if that had happened to one of our players we'd be outraged. HH.

23 Sep 2016 17:24:38
Well spotted the Cat. Yes, should have been but wasn't. Hopefully BR will look at his "challenge" and see him for what he is? Shot stopper; liability. What other options do we have when it comes to building a strong defence from the back.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Sep 2016 18:18:42
I would have thought that Gordon's tackle was clumsy and awkward rather than shocking . Not for the first time Gordon found himself completely out of position and did what a bad footballer does made a totally hash of an attempt to get to ball.
Forrester, not for the first time, made a shocking two footed tackle, the previous night and was exceptionally unlucky not to break his opponents leg .
BT showed both matches live, maybe showed 1 replay of Forrester's horrendrous tackle, but showed 26 of Gordon's amateur attempt to do whatever he was trying to do.

What do we think will happen once Griffiths is fully fit? Has Dembele done enough to keep the position until he hits a dip in form or is Griffiths still very much the main guy?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

23 Sep 2016 15:01:42
Surely Griff has to be No.1 choice if fit. He's in shockingly brilliant form. HH.

Agree1 Disagree2

23 Sep 2016 15:19:36
I think griffiths will get back in and play most games in the league but still feel dembele will be better in the champions league.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Sep 2016 15:22:31
If we're just playing with one then for me, it would be go with Dembele until a dip in form.

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Sep 2016 16:26:26
Dembele is not as suited as Griffith's to play against the 7/ 8 men defence in the SPL
He could maybe play as a very attacking centre misfiled and in his normal position in the Champions League . I don't think Griffith's is as effective with another striker up front.

Agree1 Disagree8

23 Sep 2016 17:35:35
I agree old bhoy. Griffith does his best work as the loan striker.

Agree1 Disagree6

23 Sep 2016 20:14:05
Why don't we play two strikers up front? We are Celtic a traditional attacking team, we've had enough of watching that boring one up crap the last two seasons.

Agree12 Disagree0

24 Sep 2016 00:39:56
Jamesbhoy67 I think many people on here and probably our Manager feels we are a better team and more likely to score more goals playing with 1 striker.

Agree0 Disagree5

24 Sep 2016 15:48:41
More strikers more goals plain and simple Old Bhoy. Look at the partnerships we've had over the years. One up is boring to watch that's how the stadium was empty the last two years.

24 Sep 2016 15:31:53
the majority of the fans would love to see us playing with two up front.

23 Sep 2016 12:22:21
@rayman99 struggling to see where the irony is. Gave up season ticket cause lost my job and keeping roof over families head was my families head was my priority. I was never one for buying season ticket just for the big games. If that's what your into then fair enough but there is no uncertainty had it been sevco rather than alloa, place would be packing.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

That's the road to ruin . If it's two weeks now, the time will expand to four and before u know it she will have the foot down all together . Stand up and be a man . Surely u sorted that all out before u married her, at the very latest in the vows.

Gordo, I never said he was not a real fan. Check the post. DN Of course u will put family first I was not having a go mate I was merely pointing out u were confused/ disappointed at the crowd for the Alloa game yet u are not going to games. But rayman99 you still haven't responded to point I was making. If that was Sevco we were playing instead of Alloa, game would of been full capacity. Yes there are genuine fans who still wouldn't of been able to make it, but i don't think approx 30,000 fans wouldn't of made that game.

On a seperate note where was Green Brigade? Did they have an annual leave day? No doubt they will realise a statement saying their bus got a flat tyre or something.

I see a lot of glee on here after the semi final draw, but I urge caution, here are my reasons.
1) The League Cup has always been our achilles heel, even under the late great Jock Stein it caused us problems.
2) This game comes after a tough CL game, while they have luxury of 8 days to prepare, if game on the Sunday (they play the Friday before)
3) The Hampden pitch is always a leveller, especially if another game played day before.
4) The old "chesnut" of bias refereeing, I predict the men in black will try to hinder us.
5) Overconfidence beat us in cup last time, Celtic's players need to have their "game" heads on.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

23 Sep 2016 11:19:58
Agree with most of that Tim and the reaction after the Barcelona game is a reminder that we need to have mental and physical stamina, focus and confidence to meet these challenges.
The squad has enough depth to deal with the flow of games, but as you say - the players need to be fired up and hungry for success.
As for the referee; we have had a couple of lucky breaks recently so obviously the law of averages may prevail lol.
Maybe Red-Card Thomson will make his scheduled appearance?

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Sep 2016 12:10:25
I was 11 in 67 your living in a fantasyland if you think there was anything we could of done against Barcelona that would of changed result. They regularly beat teams of a higher standard 4/ 5/ 6-0 and will destroy more teams this season.

Agree4 Disagree0

23 Sep 2016 17:45:27
Bad teams with bad luck and bad refereeing decisions have plagued us on the bad pitch of Hampden
I never liked the League Cup and I like it even less this season. Four games to be played whilst we have to try to attain points against superior teams in the Champions League, and what do we get out the League Cup, nothing not even early qualification for the UEFA league.
