See the rat-bags at Sportscene are still sticking Celtic on last, most weeks - even after the lower division teams 'highlights'are shown.
Maybe it's a cunning plan to make Celtic fans sleep in for their work?
It's not so much sitting through the piss-poor excuse for football that bothers me, though; it's suffering that wee nyaff Nevin for the whole programme that gies me the dry boke.

Maybe your club should write a letter?

Tape it and watch it later. Listening to Nevin and his total pish should be avoided.

What was he saying CL for the gers next year? How Breedboy will make us all scared to sleep? He is a boring, arse licking Fud.

And you can tell him I said that. :)

They always leave the biggest club game on last so more people keep tuning in til the end! What I'm wondering is why they bothered to put Scotlands 2nd tier highlights on! Woeful stuff! Don't think anybody in the SPFL will be losing sleep over any of that garbage coming up!

Thinking about Big Virgil leaving and I have no issue with him going. If he plays well on Tuesday I think it's nice to see him doing so and not at any point pushing for an earlier move!

On the other hand if it is around the 10 million mark I think Celtic have let him go too easy. I would've liked at very worst 12.5mil, with a 10% sell on, and 2 mil if he makes 10 appearances for Holland. or just 16mil on its own. people will say that's unrealistic for an Spl player, but when you look at John Stones he's an average young defender! VVD is as good as him so Celtic should play hard ball and just name a price and not budge on it. We seem to be the only club who aren't haemorraging money, so why not keep him if his value isn't met!

Believable3 Unbelievable2

23 Aug 2015 23:33:40
NT87 i'm not bothered what fee we get for VVD. Realistically it doesn't matter because we as supporters won't see it reinvested on the field. It is looking likely VVD will be away soon. Guarantee no player will be brought in to replace and Mulgrew will be CB next season.

Agree2 Disagree1

23 Aug 2015 23:56:13
NT87, what makes you think VVD is as good a played ad john Stone? Have you watched john Stone in a game or are you going by what you read from other Celtic posters. John Stone is playing against top opposition most weeks. He is a better player than VVD. I have seen them both live, believe me Stone plays at a better level and handles it with no problem. VVD might do the same but until he is in there no one will know. If he were as good do you not think Chelsea would buy him for a fraction of stones price? I wish Celtic fans would actually consider what they say before thinking all things Celtic must be great. VVD is worth what clubs will pay for him not what we or his agent think he is worth. No one will pay more than £12 mill for him. He is untested at the highest level. Comparing him to John stone is like saying Rangers can compete with Celtic. VVD needs to move to a new level to compete with Stones, Kompany, terry etc.

Johnny why do you think that your knowledge is much better than mine. If I hadn't watched stones on a regular basis I wouldn't have commented. I think stones is a good player, I don't think he's worth 30million more than VVD.

For someone who has seen him live, and I'm assuming you've played with him as you are so wise you would be aware that he overplays at times and makes his fair share of mistakes against some of the weaker EPL sides.

Do you not think if stones (or stone as his close friends call him) is worth 40mil then VVD is worth 12-16?

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 06:06:34
Also what gives you the right to decide what has been considered and what hasn't?

Are you just one of these people who acts like they are really knowledgeable with no reason to do so. If you can assume all the stuff in your post, then we can assume you are talking as much nonsense as everyone else does.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 09:24:48
I would appreciate if Celtic would just admit they will sell anybody at any price over £8m.

Save a lot of time.

And I share the view that It will be a first if we used the money to replace him with quality.

Boyata ain't good enough. So mibey needs to be spent.

But will it?

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2015 17:16:16
If we make The Champions League he should stay & play against the best in Europe. If he performs well the price would rocket & sell him during January transfer window. PL would be on a win win situation,20 million for qualifying & whatever the Big Man goes for. H.H. 3-1 the Hoops/ BTTS & Hoops win.

{Ed007's Note - I think Ed003 includes them every week knowing I'll always pick that, it still didn't stop me being the top Ed in it last season though 8=)

Just wondered that now Southampton have signed big Forster and wanyama the last couple of seasons and now looking like big Virgil will be going there shortly aswell. I just wonder if Ronald Koeman would be interested in taking ambrose aswell. Wishful thinking eh

Throw in Ambrose as a freebie

23 Aug 2015 20:17:18
I heard Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the running for his signature so I doubt Southampton would have a chance.

The asking price is 100m.

23 Aug 2015 20:52:23
I read in the Sunday People down here that VVD was pulled out of the match yesterday because his move to Southampton is almost complete, it also said he wouldn't play on Tuesday night as he would be getting to know his new team mates.
I really hope they are wrong on this, I fully accept he will be a Southampton player by the end of this week, but we surely wouldn't risk going into such an important match, without our best defender, it would seem absolute madness to me.

23 Aug 2015 21:36:47
I think we should say 'effe I think you should find yourself a new club bud' he's got ability but just a complete liability honestly we would be better off just starting 10 men!

23 Aug 2015 22:03:24
There is no way vvd will be away until after Tuesday no chance atal this time on Tuesday at 10pm depending on the result and the imminent departure of vvd we could be talking 30 million in the bank this week alone a lot of cash

Can I just apologise to Dunfermline and their fans, there they are going great guns scoring 4,5 and 7 goals, then I tip them and they crash 2-1, also poor Reading and MKDons scoring freely until I tip them both to score yes you guessed it blooming 0-0, guaranteed my tips carry a wealth warning as they can serioulsy damage your wealth groan.

Thought I'd tune into the sevco game to see young Henderson, totally bossed the midfield! going to be great for us in the future! On another note,we would wipe the floor with that mob by the way! Warburton revolution! Aye rite then! It's actually quite sad to see how far they've fell and what there idea is of a decent football! Poor lot! And hibs are even worse! Wee Henderson apart! Theyr pish!

23 Aug 2015 14:06:18
what was that you were saying about Henderson, just missed two absolute sitters, and I mean sitters.killy

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2015 14:15:48
I obviously posted it well before he missed the sitters! Should have done better! Still think he bossed the midfield in that 1st half! Once he's up to speed with match sharpness he'll be even better!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2015 14:52:04
For me he shouldn't be anywhere near Hibs, should be at Celtic Park,I can't remember him letting anyone down in the games he participated in,just my opinion.killy.

Agree2 Disagree1

23 Aug 2015 15:46:27
Thought he looked ok and maybe a bit of game time will get him up to speed in front of goal particularly. Misses were pretty bad. Both teams look like they would struggle in spfl to be honest, the defences are shocking the only reason there wasn't a barrowload of goals is neither team has a decent striker. If the get up next season they'll struggle for top 6 in my opinion both teams

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2015 15:55:53
Killy who would u take out the team for him to get a game have to remember he's still young and a year of first team football will do him world of good come back next season a better and experienced player

23 Aug 2015 19:46:09
Personally I think hendersons overated and will never gwt near our first team, I hope next season he cones back and proves me wrong but I just think he's going to be another forrest

I read he's being offered to united for free? Don't know where the logic in that is. Said they're looking to spend £166m of 3 Brazilians Neymar being one and Lazio striker too

Re all the rumours about Gary Hooper coming back on loan. He was great for us, we made a profit and I for one, wouldn't swap him for LG! HH :)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

23 Aug 2015 10:58:11
Like many before him, he was keen to get away to test himself against 'the best' and earn a small fortune; however the grass is not always greener and there are very few bigger or more special clubs in the UK as Celtic.
I see too, that Wanyama is unhappy and wants to leave Southampton.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Aug 2015 13:35:14
JungleJim I think someone posted during week saying Hooper was on £32k a week. Our cap is £25k a week. I have never understood why anyone would sacrifice winning medals and playing in CL for a team who will realistically always be in a relegation battle and all this for £7k a week increase. Its a lot of money to us, but nothing to footballers judging by some salaries

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Aug 2015 13:54:15
Griffith works harder on the pitch and seems to be a better scorer than Hooper ever was . We must keep Griffiths

Dn whilst I agree with your point about cl and medals over relegation battles. Look at it from hoopers side. He's English, he believed he could make it at Norwich and put himself in the shop window for the national side and bigger moves, maybe Spurs who were mentioned at the time. We hear this all the time about the grass not being greener so players should stay here when the truth is our own owner would move our full club to mid table obscurity in England over league titles in a heart beat. And a lot of our fans are exactly the same. They slate players who dare to try and better there careers in terms of finance and level of competition but they would jump at the chance of our full club moving to epl. I wish hooper well I hope he can turn it around he gave a lot for our club and unfortunately he chased the dream of England and top 4 and it hasn't happened I hope he finds form again.
