Yet another reason Howe not yet in?
Heard this today in a phone call from one of my Celtic Pools buddies.
I thought we were waiting until June to sign Howe as he was getting paid until then by Bournemouth, well my buddie thinks Howe still has about another TWO YEARS left of his Bournemouth contract, meaning if he took another football job before then he would forfeit this money. So EITHER Celtic cough up extra money to compensate him OR Howe negotiates a final cash settlement from Bournemouth.
We keep hearing different stories, and this one is as plausible as any, because I can see our Board baulking at paying extra cash.

{Ed007's Note - There's interviews with Howe online from December 2019 where he states himself that he has 18 months to run on his deal, so that's this summer. Have a look HERE.

I played against Celtic boys club at Barrowfield but the pitch was away down the bottom end and round the corner. The place is bigger than it looks.
The Celtic first team trained at Barrowfield for 48 years before Lennoxtown opened.

@Buzz Bomb another story about Barrowfield I heard was Big Jock instructed all the staff NOT to take any potential new signing to Barrowfield as it was so run down in those days that Stein was fearful a potential signing would baulk at training there every day (it got upgraded eventually)

Had the luck to sit beside tommy burns once in main stand awile after he was manager . we got talking about that during the paradise windfall . "I raised a wry smile in him when I said . was this not brought out to get you a training / development complex". . he said the land they had their was more than big enough for a first class training complex . never went into detail if it was just first team or all levels . got a few laughs out of him when telling him how we should be playing. he politely answered its not just as easy as that . Great memory.

My lad trained a few times with celtic development, the grass park was immaculate and at the bottom was astro patches, it's a bigger area than people think, great idea and on our doorstep win win.

Tommy burns kept signings away from Barrowfield until after they had signed. One of the reasons he was so passionate about Lennoxtown.
We should have named the training facilities after him by now.

The Celtic training complex should’ve been named after Tommy Burns years ago.
Tommy’s Heavenly 65th Birthday is in December and it would be great for his family if Lennoxtown was named The Tommy Burns Training Centre in his memory.

There's a guy on youtube called Hamish. A Real celtic supporter. A nice guy He was asking why Griffiths doesn't get the abuse that Eduardo gets. That's easy. Griffiths is 'Wan ay us'. He ties scarves round goalposts, he waves tricolours at matches, sings rebel songs at fans do's. that's why.
Like Andy Halliday at rangers, he could be pish But he's 'Wan ay us'. Seen a fan wanting Keane as manager cause he's Irish and he's a Catholic. West of Scotland at its worst.

Anyone else feel this seasons been that bad, the only thing you can look forward to now, is hoops88 rumour posts. 😂
I’ve missed him the last few weeks, it’s got that bad on here now, no one even attempts to mention someone lined up for the job🙈.
And the football has been turgid .
I have to admit if the board don’t pull a rabbit out of the hat regarding a coach, I think it’s going to tip the fans over the edge .
It doesn’t look like there will be a change or indeed a notice of intent to the supporters before the end of the season. We have all speculated about timing, leading up to the Sevconians games, after we got best of the Sevconians, new ceo start date etc. Just silence from the club apart from the odd birthday wish. If after all this they appoint Keane, surely some questions should be answered as to why he wasn’t brought in earlier and why it’s taken so long. I’ll be surprised if it’s a coach we haven’t all heard of in the rumour pages . It looks like it’s Howe/ Keane or possibly Clarke . And it seems we are still no nearer a dof, all we seem to be doing at the minute is shedding players / scouts .

Morning Guys, I've shared the podcast from last night over a few social media sites and passed on the Youtube channel to get a subscriber boost hopefully. I can see the channel taking off as it's as honest as it comes and everyone appreciates that. I want to elaborate on a topic that was mentioned in our live chat last night.
We agreed it was very poor forward planning by Celtic, why so many important players only had 2 years left on their contracts at the 9 in a row stage.
Surely good forward planning in the Celtic players negotiations would've ensured that these players remained focused until at least 10 in a row was secured.
It should've been common sense and we've got to wonder how such a simple task in details was allowed to be mismanaged, with so many players at the same time.
Most good businesses have a 5 year plan but it now looks like our plan stopped at 4 years and now our supporters are left wondering Why?

Apparently our share price has rocketed the stock exchange due to the muted talk of a British league, and us and sevco joining, sevco share price well Al leave it there 🙄😉.

The same happened about 1996 when the shares rocketed to about 9 times their value for one day only and it was because there was talk of Celtic being invited into the English league.
I sold my shares the following year for 5 times the value for a deposit on a house.
