Not been able to post for a while but have been an avid reader and it seems most of us have started believing our own hype in thinking we should be winning trebles without question and spending millions without fear and that our once prized asset ( Peter Lawell ) is now nothing more than a con man. changed times indeed

So what? You lost your keyboard or something?

None of our ex managers letting themselves down as pundits on national TV, Infact they are head and shoulders above what the rest have to offer.
Isn't Chiles a spiteful sneakit wee Bassa.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Chiles seems to have forgotten he became popular as an 'ordinary bloke' who was on telly.He now seems to think he is a smart ass.

True GJ. Chiles is just a presenter who likes footy. But a dull one. It would be much better with Frank Skinner or Colin Murray. Generally, with the pundits who are ex pros, you can tell who coaches or even manages and who does neither. Henry, I think he would be a great coach. Then again it's easy enough to talk a good game. Doing it is something different. Tim Vickery is a great indication that more journalists should give their opinion before and after games. Sunday supplement talks more sense than any other footballing show.

No2 at a club should be seen but rarely heard. JC likes the limelight too much.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

At least let the guy settle in. get a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope it works out. So long as he keeps his mouth shut

Agree0 Disagree0

What a sh$te post, if he's asked a question is he not allowed to answer, or is asked for an interview is he not allowed to give one don't slag the guy for the sake of it remember big Johan sayin plenty but that's ok

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder why if J C is so well thought of in Monacco he isn't actually working there . However we have him now, and hopefully he will take a back seat like MO'N, WGS big Tony and Neil Lennon's number twos remain well in the background and allow the boss to be not only the boss but seen to be boss. We could well be on to something really good and it would be an awful pity if someone's ego got in the way . Let's hope not.

Agree0 Disagree0

If celtic appointed mourinho as manager and pellegrino as assistant, some fans would still find something to moan about.killy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I very much doubt if many Celts were interested in having Mourinho as manager .

Are you joking yourman? I very much doubt the Seville final, or it's justified outcome would sway most Celts from accepting Mourinho as manager, surely not given the overwhelmingly positive response to the underwhelming appointment of RD.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only in the Seville final of 2003 Mourinho has shown himself to be a horrible con man of a manager, trying to bully referees and opposition in a manner next to Fergi . If he is the type of manager Celtic fans want, there is definitely a massive change from what our founding fathers wanted . In fairness most if not all our managers whether successful or not, have always attempted to play the game within the rules .

Agree0 Disagree0

@4. its going to be interesting to see how JC adapts to being a number 2 after being a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jump and Yourman, I totally agree with Mally this is a $h!te post. Ronny has already stated he wants people around him with strong opinions and who are not frightened to speak their mind. JC has already said he will be there to support the manager if and when he is required too. Give JC a chance, let both of them settle into their new roles. I think it will be a strong management team and it will be good for the players we have at the club just now. Hail Hail

Agree0 Disagree0

We would hardly expect John Collins to say he is going to take over the show.
However he is looking forward to coaching in the champions league . I thought his duties would be to bring the balls in and out for training and arranging the cones .
Honesty I do think that we do have a good set - up with Ronnie and John but if John's ego takes over it could all end wrong, but hopefully not .

Agree0 Disagree0

Al take it your tongue was firmly in your cheek re balls n cones, think he'll have a wee bit more input than that as long as he curbs that big bad ego!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You still aren't quite grasping what an assistant manager's job is, Collins will be out on the training pitch setting up training excercises the way Deila tells him, setting up cones, handing out bibs etc. An assistant manager is there to assist the manager, that means doing exactly what the manager wants him to.
Man management is the most important part of an assistant manager job as he is the buffer between the manager and the players. Any input he has on the training ground comes from the manager's instructions, he's not there to be a divisive character.}

Think I know what an assistant managers duties are thank you, there's a bit more to it than you think . If he wanted somebody to just put out cones and give out bibs I could have done it for a fraction of the money JCs on, he'll have input on the training ground, on player selection, on player acquisition, and much more than you think but ultimately Ronny has final say that is normal manager/asst relationship.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You might think you know but you obviously don't. There's no need to thank me it's a real pleasure to read what goes on in your head, if only for the insight into what it's like to go through life being a moron.}

Let youself down again, every post you respond to re me is the usual flippant cheeky digs, because you don't maybe agree with my posts but I don't think there's any need for name callin grow up man

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's not that I don't agree with you, it's that you're usually wrong and try to pass off what goes on in your tiny mind as fact. If our assistant manager does everything you think then we didn't need Deila and we don't need John Park or Peter Lawwell. If you're saying you're not actually as stupid as you seem perhaps you should give these people a call, 01785 810762, I'm sure they will be able to help.}

You just keep lettin youself down did your mother not teach you any manners, since you know so much about fitba maybe you should do the callin, btw if your going to respond to my posts that's fine but let's keep it civil

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You're actually even more of a wanker than I wish your father was, your brains obviously must have been in the bit that ran down your mother's leg onto the pavement.}
