After watching his last fight I'd like young Connor Benn to fight Jake Paul. Connor is only a Welterweight so he'd be giving away a fair bit in height and weight, but I'd say Benn would knock him out in Round 1.

Anyone notice at Aberdeen Goal there were at least five Celtic players marking no-one. I know the season's over etc etc but where is the game mangement professional pride. Brown McGregor and Ajer should be ranting and raving. Gone out with a whimper. Capitulation.

I have read elsewhere that The Daily Record are saying that David Turnbull could receive a ban for something that happened during last nights game, are the Record doing there bit so he misses the Derby game with Sevco, if they are so interested in things that have happened l would be interested to hear of there coverage of the Sevco C.V. idiots that are still being allowed to play, or is that getting played down.

There is chatter about a British Super League as a potential alternative to the ill-fated ESL. I'd definitely be more open to this sort of thing than the ESL where it's more sensible geographically - like the Dutch-Belgian merger that's being spoken about. However, we can't pontificate about the greedy few and then jump ship to a different closed shop. For me, there would need to be a proper Scottish-English pyramid merger with a fair promotion and relegation system where not only us and Rangers have the chance to play bigger games and make more money. Unless the other Scottish teams had no interest and told us not to let the door hit us on the way out.

P. S. Well done to the women's team last night, maybe Kennedy should make the men watch their game today and show them what it's like to show a bit of heart and pride.

I think I’d need to feel British before I didn’t have an issue with Celtic deciding to play in a British league.

Secondly the ESL proposal was morally bankrupt. An elite club for the privileged. Salvation for the few. Did you ever see the film Titanic? Do you remember the character dressed as a woman pushing woman and weans out the road to get in the lifeboat and secure his escape?

He was Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea. If Celtic took part in anything remotely similar that would finish me. Some things are bigger than money and success. If the Church of England is the Tory party at prayer the six aforementioned clubs are the Tory party at play. And even the Tories thought the ideas was reprehensible.

Like it or not, we're based in Britain JFP so you should be comfortable enough with it by now lol. Think we definitely agree on the morality of the ESL though. There would need to be total transparency and fairness for any restructuring to even get off the ground.

I'd take it or leave it Kev. Like you say, providing it was a proper league system with relegation/ promotion. Part of it excistes me, part of me thinks I've enjoyed watching us in a 'backwater' for 30 years so what's another 30. But we hear this every year and the answer is the same. There's plenty clubs down here scared of Celtic, or at least, what they could become.

There’s a big difference between being located geographically within the British Isles and feeling British with all that entails.

Anyway I still haven’t given up hope to an engineering solution to the border from the Solway to the Tweed. It’s Ireland’s greatest gift the feckn Irish Sea.

A few years ago the English were talking about reconstructing a Premiership 1 and a Premiership 2 and we would be invited into the 2nd league.
It prevented Celtic from starting at the bottom of their pyramid and it also kept some English clubs contented, that we weren’t going straight into their top league.

Border patrol would be busy on a Saturday! 20 years ago when I was a young lad I would have been right up for it. Now I think no way. Horrible league that only cares about money. All clubs should be looking to improve the Scottish game. We have had a lot of good young talent in recent years. Hopefully the new conference league will give Aberdeen a good chance to qualify and we can continue to build the reputation of the league. With Hearts replacing Hamilton and possibly Dundee coming back in place of County or Killie next season should see the standard improve. Onwards and upwards.

Leigh Griffiths has once again maintained our record of scoring on every visit to Aberdeen in the last 20 years.
It's the second time Griffiths has scored in the 90th + 3 minutes to maintain that record.
Leigh also scored an injury time consolation in 2016.
It was the game that Fraser Forster was finally beaten in the league for the first time in over 20 hours by a Johnny Hayes screamer.
The last time Celtic failed to score at Pittodrie was in December 2001.
That game will be best remembered for the home fans hitting the Celtic players with snowballs.
It was the last league game Celtic lost that season.
