Toney with another 2 tonight again can't help but think it's one that got away.

It's always going to be the same every year with us and that's waiting until the last minute or humming and hawing over a hundred grand. I thought Desmond White was bad but PL takes the biscuit (tin) .

Yes, there is a whole team of 'might-have-beens' out there, where PL low-balling, or haggling too long cost us a player and it always feels much worse during a slump or especially when we have players/ strikers that struggle to get fit and actually play.

Very true CM.

Our issue up top is fitness and luck, and LG did us ni favours whatsoever and that's still hurting us

Eddy gruff ajeti and Patrick should be enough

Albeit, never really understood the polish signing noting the team he pkayer for sat deep and counter attacked and so he is learning to be a different player in a different country. good luck to the lad.

I would play a weakened team against Milan, the bigger game for u has to be Aberdeen on Sunday.

100% Gerry, forget the EL circus, give the likes of Dembelle and Welsh a run out. The FA cup to complete the 4 th treble and then the League should be the priorities now. The League Cup and Europe should be treated as fitness and tactical exercises.

I think I agree malika . but coefficient points and profile still has some kind of value

A bit of effort, organisation, togetherness wouldn't go a miss tonight.

Celtic Fans TV have predicted a 4-2-3-1 formation for the game against AC. Milan.
Barkas
Frimpong. Duffy. Ajer. Laxalt
Brown. McGregor
Christie. Ntcham. Elyounoussi
Ajeti.
I would like to see us try a 4-4-2 when Edouard is fit again.
And then when we visit Ibrox in the New Year a 4-5-1 system.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Oct 2020 20:27:57
Brown, McGregor and Ntcham yet again in the same team (if true) ? What is it they say about the definition of insanity:- Keep doing the same mistakes expecting a different outcome.
Those three do not compliment each other in the slightest and if anything they are detrimental to each other and the team.
Turnbull, Soro, Rogic and Griffiths on furlough then?

Agree4 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 20:46:43
Chased Turnbull for over a year apparently hardly gets any game time Soro another signed for good money gets almost zero game time
Players must be disheartened in training no matter how well they do they won't get in the team as some players in this side will never be dropped no matter how bad they play.

Sunday league mentality to management that.

I agree playing those 3 in midfield has past its sell by date long ago.
It does make sense to go back to a 4-2-3-1 formation because most of the players are familiar with that system, for the Milan game.
But it is a dilemma because how are we going to get our strikers fit if we aren’t playing them and going with 2 forwards.
When Eddy is back we need to play 2 up front and we should try a 4-4-2.

Think this is just fake news, released by the mole, who has been identified and turned, by the Parkhead security service, the team that plays against Milan will bear no resemblance to this team.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 21:35:58
4231 formation has provided as much of the horrible football we have seen this year.

AC Milan if they play a full first team will add to our week of misery.

Milan played a 4-2-3-1 in their last match.

If nitcham and moi start then Lennon has some explaining to do to some players. If they can keep their place especially nitcham after Sat then the other lads like Turnbull are wasting there time.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 22:42:50
If ntcham starts that game tomorrow I’m done with it honestly! Young turnbull deserves a run in the team and must be wondering what he has to do to get a game in front of a player who quite frankly has been an embarrassment for a long while now! Bloods boiling at the thought of lennon playing him again!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 23:38:18
4-2-3-1 or a 4-5-1 tomorrow.

Barkas
Welsh Duffy Ajer Laxalt
Brown McGregor
Frimpong Turnbull/ Christie Moi
Ajeti/ Griffiths

Not keen on playing players out of position but RW is a concern as is the fitness of our strikers but Welsh can play RB also and Frimpong may be exposed as RB. Maybe a risk starting Christie too.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Oct 2020 15:45:05
Personally I don't care about the result tomorrow. I'd rather use it to give players game time as all we seem to hear is he isn't fit or he hasn't had enough games.

Barks,
ajer Duffy Welsh Taylor,
Soro
Turnbull mcgregor laxalt
Ajeti

Griffiths rogic Christie on in second half.

Let's those who haven't played gets minutes in before the game on Sunday which to me is far more important. Also gives brown a rest as I feel we still need him for Sunday but not every game. It also leaves out ntcham who has been an empty jersey for weeks.

Scott Brown has received 5 yellow cards in the league so far this season and is one booking away from a one match suspension.
The suspension kicks in 14 days from the 6th league booking.
If Brown gets booked away to Aberdeen he will miss away to Motherwell which is exactly 14 days later.
As it stands Celtic play away to Hibs 13 days after the Motherwell away game.
So if Brown doesn’t get booked away to Aberdeen he will be available to play both away ties at Motherwell and Hibs as it stands.
With the Hibs game still scheduled for the Saturday.

Could debate all day about the unbalanced and inconsistent level of refereeing that has got us to this situationso soon in the season; (Goldson took Elyounnoussi right out the game on Saturday and it was 'played-on' with no retrospective yellow) . Anyway, maybe if Broony wasn't apparently needed EVERY single game we play?

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Oct 2020 15:43:41
So the refs are to blame for you's being played off the park. Instead of blaming everything and everyone else you should maybe try looking closer to home. The refs🤣 its like the 90's all over again🙈😂😂😂👍.

Bad news keeps coming eddy out of Milan game and julien out for a further few weeks. bitton also out he's saying his bout with cv was a right bad dose so god knows when we'll see him but health cones first.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Oct 2020 16:21:56
Still think there's something not right about the Jullien situation, but Welsh did well when he was thrown in under pressure.
Eddy is a blow, but at least we are well covered up front.
Shame about Bitton as he has rarely put a foot wrong when playing and all we can do is hope for a full recovery.
That last International Break has a lot to answer for?

It sort of feels like injured players will happily sit things out for now. very little momentum.

Ryancelt, it's not something that we need to be concerned about and I hope DD and PL won't be waiting for the postman bringing us an invitation to the table.
We're so far removed from Europe's elite that we wouldn't even get invited to the Division 3 set up if they decide to have one. HH.

My team for Thursday would be

Barkas

Ajer. Welsh Duffy Taylor

Moi. Turnbull soro Calmac Laxalt

Griff or Ajeti

Younger more dynamic midfield 3
Much more balance to the side
Everyone working their socks off to deny them space and put an end to zonal marking at corners ( it is lazy tactics by management team )

3 points for milan then.

{Ed007's Note - It'll be 3 points for Milan no matter what team we put out.}

Lennon will play the same team as Sunday that's usually the way he does it.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 12:54:36
I'd go with Soro in the midfield as well. We've obviously not seen much of him in a Celtic jersey but from the videos we saw it looked like his main strength was winning the ball, breaking up attacks and turning over the play to the forwards. We need Brown to do well on Sunday away at Pittodrie and if he's up against the boy Tonali (The second coming of Pirlo) then he could be in for a tough, tough night.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 13:33:06
Reckon he will pick a very similar team to Saturday; apart from Christie for Ntcham and probably swop Klimala for another striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 18:29:07
It doesn't matter what players we have availible lennon will continue to play them out of position anyway (sorry still fuming about the lack of fight on sat) we need something different on Thursday all we can hope is its not a hiding.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 21:38:47
As long as they score less than 4 we can consider it decent and if we can put in a (rare) acceptable performance then all the better. HH.

This shows how far we have regessed.
A year ago we beat Lazio who last night beat avery good Dormund side.
Whilst we have looked like we would stuggle to beat Hamilton.

Maybe Dortmund have regressed and Milan are really really gid.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 08:20:10
When soro signed he said his game was a bit like kante at Chelsea. Sit in front of back 4 and put out fires why aren't we giving this kid a chance with turnbull and Callum it could be a vibrant midfield using broony when needs must. also think Welsh could do a job at rb as well as cb the boy looks very assured.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

21 Oct 2020 09:12:17
Or start Griffiths and or Ajeti, or play Ajer on his much better right side in a back four with Duffy, Welsh and Laxalt/ Taylor?
Why is Ntcham getting away with it every week and why does it take so long to realize mistakes or problems and make 'the proper' subs?
There is a lot right now that is leaving us puzzled and perplexed.

Agree5 Disagree0

21 Oct 2020 11:27:16
Might be NL's stubbornness or maybe he tries these things in training and the players can't cut it?

If they can't cut it ship them out.
