Today I happened to stumble on an old Glasgow derby from 1998 (the Wim Jansen year) on Sly Spurts
Celtic won 2-0 with goals from Craig Burley (yes I had forgotten him too) and Paul Lambert. The referee was the proven bigot Dallas. At the first goal, all the players ran to the side touchline to celebrate with the Celtic fans, the bold Dallas raced in front of them and stood BETWEEN the players and the fans to stop us celebrating. But best bit about it was his face, he was clearly RAGING at us scoring hail hail.

Burley was a good player for us and would be thought of as a hero to us just like the rest that stopped the ten but he became a bitter wee 30 pieces of silver prick and ruined his legacy.

Burley like Armstrong was never a Celtic man. Posh boy is more intelligent which wouldn't be difficult but no green and white blood between the pair of them. PS: Broonie for me has earned the right to be considered a great Celtic captain. ☘️.

Nonsense jfp because they where posh what has that got to do with anything we are a club for all. p. s brownie grew up a hun does that mean he doesn't bleed green and white.

Gordo what are you smoking. The point I was making that there was nothing posh about Burley who was as thick as the proverbial in the neck of a bottle? And who feckn mentioned Broons religion or what he grew up as? You! It's of absolutely no interest to me. I said Broonie has earned the right to be considered a great Celtic captain? As the great Jock Stein said 'Celtic weren't my first love but they'll be my last'. I'd have Broons picture on the outside of Paradise now. Go read my post again look up the word apologise in the dictionary and I'm here if you feel sorry I misinterpreted your post is in order. You lost me. ☘️.

Doesn't matter what most our players grow up supporting. Once they've pulled on that jersey and played in front of our fans most take our club to heart. With the exception of knobs like burley walker and Nicolas.

Why do you want an apology you won't be getting one from me you say there's no green and white blood between burley and Armstrong I say when they pulled on the famous hoops they bleed green and white that was my point doesn't matter if they where a old rangers supporter or posh I didn't mention religion either so think you should go back re read my post and apologise.

Gordo-Burley and Armstrong wear the jersey and take our wages that doesn't mean they bleed green and white. KT, Paul McStay and Tommy Burns bled green and white. Did I misread your post or did YOU not raise the fact that Broonie who I've described as earning the right to be considered one of our greatest captains as having 'grew up a Hun'? Why is that relevant? ☘️.

Guys my original post was about that fud Dallas, not the other fud Burley.
Stop squabbling among yourselves and remember our club embraces all faiths and none, and to make my point many years ago before that other fud Mo Johnson jumped ship another player went the opposite way Alfie Conn from the old dead club to Celtic. We Celtic fans welcomed him and sang this song
He used to be a HUN,
But he is ALL RIGHT NOW,
Alfie, Alfie, Alfie Conn.

burley ruined it by becoming a pundit on tv channel of the day - setanta maybe, remember them. Used to cringe when he came on, liked his as a play but ho le fook he was critical for no reason like no other. Posh lol he was a thick as mince.

which makes me ask, why is commons on the telly all the time. Celtic fart, let's go live to Commons for a Comment. nah.

Loved burley, Lambert’s family are all blue noses and stopped speaking to him and his Dad when he signed for us. I’ve also heard Armstrong’s grandpa is a tim but really couldn’t give a monkey who they supported as long as the perform for the hoops.

What you got against Armstrong?, grow up will you, they all bleed the green and white as long as they are getting paid obscene wages.

Burley is on the list of players I wish had never played for us along with Nicholas Walker and a few else! Arrogant tossser of a man! And an absolute pea brain to top it off!

Burley ruined it? Strange comment for me.

Burley was a massive player in the 1998 season and contributed to stopping 10 in a row. We should never forget that.

Some players love the club (most I hope) , some don’t. Some more than others. Either way I only ask for maximum effort when their on the pitch. The special combination of Celtic player ie talent and love for the hoops, will always be my favourite type of player, but I still love the memories of all our players (the good ones)
