so disappointing today seem to dominate midfield then play sideways back to sideways not entertaining enough even craig gordon trying to start things from the back nobody looking for the ball so frustrating.

I reckon we are a consistently creative midfielder away from a decent team we need a player who can unlock defences all the time bring back lubo lol.

Was at game today and tbh it was awful if we can't break down kilmarnock i can't see us breaking down ajax am fearing the worst for thursday night the feeling i get with rd now is we have to go backwards to go forward i think once we have the right players for the way he wants to play we will hopefully be laughing these crap performances off next season! Maybe am too much of an optimist though another thing i hope celtic match the money the gb raised today because that's not on people in glasgow going hungry in this day n age.

Good post. The weaknesses are there for all to see. It's just a jigsaw with missing pieces. Time will bring it together. Both in a sense of some good windows and the benefits of the youth coming through under RD. People need to understand that what he's trying to get going, a conveyor belt of talent coming through, takes a bit longer than a year and a half.

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Nov 2015 20:31:45
I think the same but its still hard to watch and its really frustrating i think rd will get us going places eventually but what gets on my nerves is the wee team fae govan their manager gets quoted for epl jobs when he is struggling to pull away in front of what is essentially a part time league n our very own ronny deila is slated at every opportunity its messed up.

21 Nov 2015 20:50:14
It is frustrating dude but that's what patience is. It's taking the shit on the chin with the confidence that it will come good. Under the current constraints of the club RD is about as much chance of progression as we have. And I know why it may be hard to see. But to those that want RD out I have not seen a single suggestion of coaches/ managers that haven't had money to throw at a problem, even then with little or no success. Really though Stef I wouldn't worry about clubs in other leagues or countries.

Steff88 I wouldn't put too much weight behind the hats head hunting stories. He ticks one box . English coach. and that's enough. added media nonsense. Plenty of hapless journeymen coach and player alike that make a good living down there.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Nov 2015 23:01:39
Yeah but these people ridicule Rd n the way celtic are heading and yet the loaf man is hailed as a saviour! Ronny i genuinely believe will get it right bit still doesn't make these woeful perfomances today easier.

22 Nov 2015 00:43:35
The manager is useless, he is a cheap option and it's quite clear we are getting what we pay for a second rate coach who can't do the job.

Agree2 Disagree1

22 Nov 2015 14:19:05
How in the name of all that is holy can Celtic, playing in what knockers will you refer to as a one horse League race, expect to attract a first choice coach and afford to pay him . First class and indeed some 2nd class footballer's earn six to ten times as much as our highest paid players . I would imagine the small group of first class managers would rather manage these players .

Think what you like about Commons but take him out the team and you don't have ONE! player who can cross or find a clinical forward FIVE YARD FKIN pass!

Awful to watch and endure especially after a break too just hope SB is okay for Thurs!

JimTim, I like SJ but he another like CG who has not produced this season SJ is a better CDM IMO (y)

With Commons being unwell, would this not have been the perfect opurtunity to give Allan, a full game, to see what he can do in a creative role.

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Nov 2015 18:41:04
I like Commons. I've criticised him for several aspects but between the two of KC and SJ they're our more influential players going forwards. It's just a shame neither were available. Generally we lack pace and width. It's been the case for a while and it's also a case of square pegs in circle holes. We need to see the correct players brought in for the shape/system. It's just a draw. Not another reason for people who don't see the wood for the trees to be calling for RD's head. Top of the league and people calling for his head after a domestic draw again? Silly. Aindoh I would rather have seen Nesbitt get in than Allan I think it's the area we were lacking not CM.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Nov 2015 10:57:31
Commons undoubtedly brings a skill and vision lacking in most of the squad but his attitude and behaviour stinks at times. We have too many tippy-tappy sideways passers and need more flair, creativity and pace in my opinion and a bit more power and directness up front would give us an option at set pieces and stubborn defences.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Nov 2015 14:22:16
After what Commons did in Norway, I wouldn't have had him anywhere near the first team squad . In fact I believe the team haven't played well since then . He is the type of trouble-maker you would want in the club you dislike most first team squad .

Ronny's time is now up for me, that's the last straw.

He's become so predicable now that I actually said before it happened the subs of both Ciftci and GMS coming on for Rogic and Armstrong would happen and that he'd also switch Forrest and GMS on the wings, giving Allan only 8 mins is a joke as well. Ronny has turned us into a bang average mediocre side or worse. If he cannot see that guys like Boyata, Armstrong, GMS, Ciftci, Brown, Johansen aren't good enough which he clearly can't then it's time up I'm afraid.

Not to mention he's cost us the guts of £40M CL money over last two season, another fortune of about £3-4M income for pre season friendlies in locations such as America or Austrailia and then there's not one player he's brought in who looks like we could get some money for. EVERY player we've sold for decent money under Ronny has been from a signing made under Lenny's tenure. Also players like Boyata (£1.5M) , Ciftci (£1.5M) and Armstrong (£1.75M) does anyone feel we have any chance of recuperating this money for these duds? No chance.

I say either bring back Lenny or go with Roy Keane which was Dermots choice but what I do know is I don't want Ronny anymore, I have given him more than a fair crack but it's just not working. I was actually willing to give him the final two Euro games but I feel we have absolutely ZERO chance in either game and that deeply saddens me as a Celtic fan in what we have become under Ronny, enough is enough.

Believable3 Unbelievable8

21 Nov 2015 17:51:55
Agree that Ronny is becoming hard to defend but we are not going to get any of the replacements you suggest man. He is predictable but worse than that the approach of every Euro team we play seems to be 'let them come at us and wait for the slack pass, the back four will fall apart' He hasn't won any big game yet and doesn't look like doing so. My daughter is in hospital so I will miss the Thursday game. Normally, I'd be gutted (obviously she's the priority) but this time I'm not so fussed. We missed a trick with Steve Clark and now I am genuinely stumped to think of any realistic candidate. Stubbs and Hughes both preferable but I think we're stuck with RD til summer at least and options will remain thin then.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sorry to heatr that about your daughter mate, hopefully she's home and fighting fit very soon.}

21 Nov 2015 19:07:46
Ronnie is still learning his trade and I can't see any wY he will make it. i am amazed at PL showing so much support for RD at the agm? He has commented about Ronnie building something and Celtic always giving their manager a chance so when we get beaten on Thursday and then against Fernebache does he really allow RD a third crack at CL? When is enough enough? It can only be when we are behind Rangers in the league because getting beaten in Europe almost seems acceptable? Also we sign Carlton Cole and he is a RD signing without any doubt. Where is he? We all knew it would take him to January to get fit so we have signed him for half a season, when we are out of Europe. What is going on?

Agree2 Disagree1

21 Nov 2015 19:21:45
There was no excuse for today; most of them were well rested during the international break and we were at home against a very, very ordinary side - but (including Europe) you never get the same performance two games running.
I had a chuckle after the Aberdeen game when the sports scene blue-nose pundits at the wind-up, virtually conceded the title to Celtic in October!
However this team and manager have a lot, still to prove and improve.
I miss the Celtic teams of old who fought for 90+ mins and came up with so many late winners when we were struggling and maybe teams reflect the manager In those situations? Whatever the case 2 points dropped is poor.

22 Nov 2015 14:29:56
I wonder what type of manager would satisfy some of the experts on here . Mowbray was the last experienced manager we had here and he certainly didn't please everyone . Before that WGS didn't please you all either .
Yet here we are a couple days after the AGM, where the whole talk was about Lord Livingston and the pay of the lower earners at Celtic Park and the board were put under no pressure re Deilia and team, yet on here we have to read the moaning game after game, week in week out.

Ed what box you got. Am sitting with ma wee 30 box it's served me well but time for an upgrade I think. When I can't get watching a Classico am not happy.

{Ed007's Note - It's a T8 mate, I only got it a couple of months ago and I'm delighted with it so far.}

{Ed007's Note - Not really a technophobe, I just like everything to run smoothly with the minimum of effort.}

21 Nov 2015 18:40:21
I well that's why my box spends a lot of time redundant. It's a pain in the arse to watch anything on it. No stream available back out. The next one is freezing and buffering. Forget it al watch council telly.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I've hardwired mine (use an ethernet cable instead of wi-fi) and that's supposed to help with buffering.}

21 Nov 2015 19:39:00
Thanks mate I will try that. I still reckon I need a better quality box. I've got a guys number who updates your box for a tenner at least if I start using him every few months I'll no I'm getting the most out of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

21 Nov 2015 22:24:46
All you have to do with the box is google whatever you want to find out I'm not the brightest but I install and update it by going onto you tube and typing whatever it is I want, honestly save the tenner its not that hard to do.

I have Apple TV at home, is there any chance we could see a CelticTV app on there? It would be much better to give my money directly to the club instead of giving it to BeIN Sports. I just want to watch Celtic, I couldn't give a toss about Burnley v whoever.

Have you got Twitter melb bhoy.

If so, some of the bhoys can post you links up there and you will be able to air play it from your iPad to Apple TV.

21 Nov 2015 05:39:28
Ahhh I guess I could do that from my phone if there's a Celtic tv app. I already air play BeIN if it's not live on Cable but live on my phone app. Cheers Frewbhoy that might be the best way to do it.
