Not long back from a great day with friends at their barbecue, thankfully weather has saved us from a boring Sunday of English dominated sport on tv.
Are there 3 more boring television sports than Golf, Cricket and Cycling. Do not know who won what and do not care, bring back the fitba, NOW.
Going to first home game Tuesday and girls and I cannot wait. Come on you bhoys in Green. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Nothing wrong with a bit of golf Timbo, I miss not being able to play and, it's a good way to relax and have a think about things. Watching F1 racing seems pretty pointless to me, cricket only interests southern-softy shandy drinkers and I'd rather watch Jeremy Bile than cycling!!}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Got to agree with ed tim, nothing better than a game of golf and a few pints afterwards, especially in this weather. But in saying that the open was a bit of a let down no real drama at the end. Cricket and cycling? Zzzzzzzzz!

Briggs

Agree0 Disagree0

Not having that Tim! The golf is the business after the football. This weekend showed the problems even the top pro's encounter. green jhedi

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the game on tuesday on the season book . happynoods

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh come on! I know we got belted but you can't go past Test cricket for sheer anticipation. Cycling is mince though. And Golf is crap on TV, you're much better off going to watch it in person.

What you all need by the sounds of things is a dedicated AFL channel for your summer. The next 6 weeks are huge leading into finals. This Friday night in particular with 1st v 2nd, my boys Essendon taking on top of the table Hawthorn. Go Dons!

Melb Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cycling is interesting if you watch the big climbs and fast descents. If you watch the tour de France live it really isn't so bad. The French crowds are very entertaining. As for golf. The sport of the common man in Scotland is truly obscene as a spectator sport with these strutting peacocks and multi millionaires who don't even get out of breath. Its a nice sport to play but if I want to look at a pot bellied middle aged man in a ridiculous sweater I just have to look in the mirror on Christmas day.
Test cricket. Now that's a real joke. The game of Empire played mainly by spoiled rich kids from independant schools. Or in Scotland we just give a few guys from the commonwealth a game and call it a Scottish team. Lol. Its nonsense. The sound of willow on leather. Geez a brek! Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it wasn't for Celtic and Golf I'd get no peace from my missus!

She was once told "when you see a team in green and white on tv you stay quiet." Lol. Luckily she seen the funny side.

I've often thought golfers were a bit silly with their clothes though it's all part of the fun I s'pose. I have played once or twice and did quite enjoy it. I've nothing against golf, despite it being an allegory for freemasonry. pea {Ed007's Note - They are tiptoeing around it while all the outrage about allowing women in is going on.}

A free tansfer bargain at 29 years old and still got a couple of good years in him! can't deny he knows how to score

Skinnybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He's too old now and was a fool to leave - like many who have left Celtic and are soon regretting it.

No not for me

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance McDonald is a better striker than Hooper. Would I have him back - probably not. Good wee poacher but that's about it. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

2 old? Lol he's only 29 or 30 tbh a blame mowbray for him leavin. A would take him back in a second scores for fun and no transfer fee and low wages its a no brainer. GunnieBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep. He'd be great foil for Stokes. I think he would make Stokes a better player, bringing enthusiasm into the forward third. He could also help with the young guys behind the scenes, he loves Celtic and would relay that to those coming through.

Melb Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

As a free, yep, take him in a minute
Ska Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Never wanted us to sell Skippy in the first place he didn't want to go and I have been hoping for us to bring him back since. I tend to watch Championship games when they are on so I have caught Boro a few times over the last few seasons and McDonald still has it, No doubt about it.

Free transfer so its a no brainer for me. I think he would definitely take a cut on his massive salary to play for his hero's. He would recognise it would be worth it at this stage in his career to get a move back to Celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our new "markee" signing. Dragged from the over paid underperforming mediocrity of mid table championship to the dizzy heights of trialist with the Tic. NL may fancy him and there are a few Aussies at the club so its a good excuse for a piss up on Australia day. Actually we need to increase our exposure in Australia so for that reason alone we may go for him for reasons other than purely football. Sopotcelt.

Ed what do you think about this? Gary Hooper knocks back QPR digs his heels in and says he doesn't want a move. That will surely force Celtic's arm to offer him the terms he wants. New contract and then sell him next summer. {Ed007's Note - I still fully expect Hooper to leave in this window.}

For a while now Hugh Keevins has been banned, rightly so in my opinion, from Celtic Park.At the time the ban was announced there was some who thought it was a ban on free speech, and I can understand that viewpoint. This is not the case.Mr Keevins was banned because he consistently printed untruths regarding Celtic. This is a fact.

Since the commencement of his ban he has, in my opinion, became worse. In his column for a Scottish tabloid it is largely understated.A bit more subtle. He has however used the medium of broadcasting, on a local radio phone in sports show, to maintain his negative slant on Celtic. From crowd figures to maintaining Celtic need sevco in the SPL, he rarely misses a chance to skewer the facts in favour of sevco.

When questioned live on radio by fans, not all of Celtic, he will not commit to a straight answer regarding sevco. His go to phrase is he does not deal in 'hypothesis', he will however hypothesise all night long on matters Celtic. As ever with reporters like Keevins the mask always slips. I have just read the most fawning, sycophantic piece of PR for sevco since the halcyon days of succulent lamb.

Sevco it seems have no money problems. They, or more importantly to Keevins, the cardigan are playing it cool. The Germany trip it seems proves this. The cost of the training facility and the flights prove this.He seems to forget that they have just sold over thirty thousand season tickets.A huge influx of cash by any ones standards. And before any sevconians claim the money is not all in, that is easily circumvented. He also claims Murray Park is worth £14m! But Hugh, Chuckles bought the lot for £5.5m, remember, when the old club died?

Like a corporate version of Hyacinth Bouquet they are keeping up appearances. Companies do this all the time.Craig Whyte did it and Keevins and the rest of the Scottish media bought it.Before printing this gushing nonsense do you think he did any research? me neither. But again he slips up.

He claims the cardigan had a word regarding an article Keevins wrote a while back. I wonder if it was the same type of word he had with Chick Young a few years back? Is this the cardigans job? Is he sneaky's enforcer? Some of the stuff in this piece is truly ridiculous.I would quote some but I need a shower after reading it. Quite simply, any one who thinks, or has thought, this man has no agenda regarding Celtic is wrong. green jhedi

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If I remember right there is a 99 yr ban on building houses on the still to have its name changed Murray park rendering it worthless to most buyers

Alright Ed? Long time no post!

You may remember about a year ago I posted a list of players myself and a friend compiled of possible Celtic targets that we thought could work out well for us.

Happened to come across it today and seen a name that rang a few bells: Omer Damari.

Still got a great record, still got a 3mEuro buyout clause, still would be a great addition imo!

If anyone is interested in the list, you can search my name and find it easily!

Cheers, from sunny Tunisia,

They will be supplied with a new bus but are claiming it will still be the same bus . They are also claiming the history of the MOT and mileage . Sources say the fire could have been started because too many steak bakes were found in the luxury micro wave . " We don't do driving away " . DH

I got a new name for Ally and Wattie and an idea for a movie. Just like the world famous special bus, ramsdens cup run, swift promotion back to SPL and the chances of the sevco zombies being alive after Christmas. The new movie is called Cheech and Chong = up in smoke! LOL HH ShottsBhoy

Don't know if anyone else seen this but I was reading a gutter press paper online this morning and saw that the new Sevco team bus had been set alight (shocking and unacceptable behavior from personic people stupid enough to put people's lives at risk). However what gives the editors of the paper the right to put pictures of Celtic fans pitch invasion at Brentford all over this story with no mention of the game itself? Surely this is slander with them assuming it must have been a Celtic fan that did this. After the stuff made up about singing at the Brentford game by the sevconians can we really disregard the fact this could be another act of hatred and jealosy by them? Another prime example of the Scottish press and their blue tinted spectacles.
cw-88

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah the bitter bigot JG on the other site is trying to deflect from his own low life clubs antics! And quoting the papers verbatim lol he tells all his other low life pals to ignore it when it is referring to his new club but quotes it like gospel when it's fabricated garbage about celtic!
The guy is an absolute joke of a human being!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be amazed if CelticFC don't complain in the strongest terms about the S*n article. Lower than the gutter.

Pure jealousy, that's what it was that burnt down that bus, pure pathetic jealousy, I mean what else could have been? That kind of stuff makes me so ANGRY. catch theese bags!"
Signed I m and eejit

Nothing like the honesty from these idiots is there! Are their new board members not in the bus business?

Agree0 Disagree0

The police are looking at who might have a grudge against the newco. That might take some time. There will be a lot of angry people where they are concerned. This appears to have been a 'professional' job. Luckily no one was hurt, which is the main thing. There is something odd about this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Knew the edit was coming ed, had to write it as soon as I noticed it. Makes me so angry that they start p**h like this because none of their journalists are talented or skilled enough to write up a decent story regarding Scotish football. I hope someone has a screen shot and we do make a complaint.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate the glorious 140 mile history of 'THE BUS'. Ally is said to be deeply shocked that he won't see it again. I fully expect this to be announced soon judging by the attention, in print and broadcasting, this story is generating.

More serious is the fact that Celtic fans seem to be getting dragged into this. The overplaying of the fact that the sevco bus was inside is a blatant attempt to push an agenda. No one was killed, thankfully, and they will be fully insured. I am sure there will be CCTV covering all areas of the garage, end of story. green jhedi

Reports today that suspicious fire in Lanarkshire coach business destroyed the new rangers £500,000 bespoke coach and stand-by second coach, third and fourth coaches.

Police are obviously investigating the possibility of an insurance scam and also 276 stiffed creditors of the club and 70 million taxpayers. Ticketus and HMRC refused to comment.

Craig Whyte maintains he was in the Cayman Islands at the time signing documents for his company blue pitch holdings.

Legal experts Pinsett Masons are to write a report confirming Craig Whyte was not involved in the purchase of the bus.

A police scotland spokesman stated they would leave no stone unturned, after all we're all fans, We are Ra Peepul.

Rumours four drivers and a watchman, former debenture holders, were known to have an illicit BBQ are unfounded.

Ally McCoist complained he had left his best trainers under his seat with a winning lottery ticket and a wallet with £5,000 in paper notes. As have all the players.

Durrant said he never liked it anyway.

No EBT documentation has been reported to have been left in the coach. Although a copy of Lord Nimmo-Smith's landmark report on sporting advantage was in each pocket on the back of each seat.

Legal Ownership of the bus remains a mystery and Brian Stockbridge, as yet, has shown no documents nor yellow folders.

Former legend bomber brown says he has several legends on board with an initiative for fans to chip in money for a new bus and that the fans don't know the half of it.

The SFA's Stuart Regan is taking the matter seriously and may or may not hold his own investigation.

Silent Jim Trainers, rangers media and communications director remained, as always, silent.

Finally, Scotland's grade A referees are all upset as they had been looking forward to travelling to all New rangers away matches, in third tier, on the bus.

Japanese tourists who had bought Visit Scotland tickets to view the bus are deeply disappointed. They will now be treated to the Waverly paddle steamer instead.

I'm sorry guys but if hooper stays without signing a contract then Lennon should be strengthen his team without hooper throughout season I think hooper is great but why should he have his cake and eat it rejecting new contract, leave for free and command a starting place wouldn't happen at any other big club so why at celtic, if he doesn't want to play for celtic then he doesn't want to play games freeze him out the clubs bigger than Gary hooper

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have posted similar a few times. I don't think 'freezing him out' is the way to go though. Just let him know that he will not be first pick as we have to think of the future. He can have no complaints with that.green jhedi

Do you know what, let hooperman stay and honour the last year of his contract. Four years excellent service for £2m is great business. I'd like to have him another year.
