ED why is the rangers rumour page not working good ? no new stuff has been uploaded for hours {Ed007's Note - We have been having some technical problems on all the sites tonight, I can only apologise on behalf of all of us. Things will be back to normal ASAP}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

LOL I THOUGHT IT WAS A CONSPIRACY AGAINST RANGERS {Ed007's Note - We're not that petty :-) we knew you would be all excited but YOU DON'T NEED TO SHOUT!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I just thought it had crashed due to all the money "Mr Whyte" was going to spend on an influx of players. Thought it was inundated with posts HAHA........ suckers

Weebazz {Ed007's Note - I don't think it will come into the equation ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed u havent answered him do u think lennon will keep his job?? {Ed007's Note - I did answer? Read the question}

The Ed s too worried with the goings on at Ibrox tonight lololol

Sorry ed just a wind up rangers ed hasnt paid his internet bill lol so just seeing if there is any news on ur site {Ed007's Note - We are having technical problems with all the sites guys, sorry about any inconvenience. We are trying to get it fixed ASAP}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon has done a very good job but i cant see how he'd avoid the sack if he doesnt win the title this year. Rangers/Celtic dont accept failure two years in a row. (I'm a Rangers fan but i think that was fair comment)

well said Paddybhoy your the first Celtic fan to come on here and give credit where credits due regarding wallace i think it was a good bit of business i would rather see 1.5 mil go on wallace than 3 mil on cuellor.

what do you think is going on with kenny miller aparently he has turned down cardif dont know how true this is but if it is the case he might end up being Rangers wild card inclusion for the CL qualifier on tuesday

Tony

ed do u need to sign up for an account on this site for a user name ? {Ed007's Note - No, Just put it at the bottom of your post, if you leave "tag" in the e-mail field on the rumour/banter form, it doesn't have to be your e-mail address just something only you know, only us editors see it. That way if someone tries to post using your name and the "tag" isn't there we will not post it up. Some people try to post using others names and that is the best way of stopping it. It is better to use a name as people get to know your personality and it is easier to discuss things with a "name". There is nothing to sign up to and everything on the site is free.}

new 2 the site. Every season we ask the same questions about our spending and its never answered we are bankrolled by a multi multi millionaire in dermott desmond he funded robbie keanes wages when we had him on loan we r being treated like mugs again promised big name signings yet we hav 2 pre contracts signed taking gk's on trial payed just under a million for wanyama who looked no bad tbh but come on its a joke the money is there u cand fool the fans think its time they pulled the finger out {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site, you should try and think of a name or "handle" to use as it lets people enter into discussions/banter with you and gives your posts a bit more credence and individuality. Feel free to join in with anything and I hope that you enjoy the site.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Awrite ed how do u sort the name coz i put mine in and ma email {Ed007's Note - Just put your name at the bottom of your post, as part of the the text, and your e-mail in the e-mail field of the rumour/banter form.}

rangers are starting to spend a bit of money and kept all there best players.this will make them a stronger squad and give there manager plenty more options for the season ahead.what everyone in that celtic board room must remember we lost the league.no matter how close we came we lost it to a near bankrupt club.dont be fooled into thinking we aint to faraway.we have 1 good striker in hooper.i think the midfield is pretty strong.but the defence and goalie positions have not been addressed.we have a big squad but it aint fool of quality.it aint answers from the board its actions we need.the season ticket sales are up so come show me the money.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Well said mate my fear is i think if that mob have everyone fit they have a better first 11 than us that was the case last year when the going got tough we had too many let downs in our giant squad and nobody seems interested in any of the players wed like to get rid of

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a gers fans and i would like to applaud those posts. Obvs thats not going to be the opinion of all of your fans which is fair enough.

Its honestly the first honest and non blinkered post i have seen for a while.

I will tell you exactly why we won the league last yr, our spine held the team throughout, Mcgregor Weir/Boogy Davis and Miller/Jelavic kept it together. We started to struggle when Mcculloch got injured as we then had to rely on Edu to compete with Kayal, tbh Edu got bitched out physically hence y u dominated OF games in the latter stages.

You have 4 problems...

Scot Brown ruins your play, hes club cptn so Lennon must feel he has to play him. Ki's better and far more gifted.
Mulgrew/Matrjovic (spelling) are poor imo. Mulgrew is a disaster and the swede gets away with a lot bcoz hes clearly v powerful.... your keepers, you have had 1 gd kepper in the last 15yrs, boruc but his attitude stunk.

You have good players, Izzaguire, Kayal, Commons and Hooper are very dangerous, other than that, its quantity, no quality.

Lennon needed 2 CBs and a permanent keeper, you have went and bought a def MF which he intends to play as CB? hes too young for that. a full back RB, which you have about 12 of?? very random.

watp {Ed007's Note - Good post mate, better than the usual childish stuff Rangers fans try to post. One thing though, Kelvin Wilson is a CB as well, but everyone on here knows I am not Majstorovic biggest fan either.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why thank you .... i knew you had signed someone else but i couldnt remember.

We arent all covered in chibs and sing the sash lol..

Wee Pat im gunning for you.. Winnie_the_blue ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

My God, Rangers sign a couple of players and all of a sudden we're Rubbish and your on about doing this and doing that. The transfer windows open for ages yet and I seem to remember our defence doing no to bad last season, also we played pretty well against Rangers too. Last season we were a new team, we brought in commons and we've now added 3 players for next season. We have to get more players off the wage bill, but we aren't that far away. Celtic are more than capable of winning the league IMO. Mark

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually gotta agree with some of the points made there but big Wilson looks superb, Matthews looks a good one. I honestly think if we get a goalkeeper and a striker our first 11 will be stronger than Rangers. BTW whats with the Rangers start splashing the cash ....... Is Lee Wallace and a pre-contract honestly enough to get you excited ?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2011 18:19:05
over on my own pages ppl are getting very excited about our signings as far as im concerned the jury is still out im glad we are making signings and the wallace one is a good one the american i dont know but lets be honest where any of you guys excited when kayal or izzy were signed

Tony

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Tony, i think Rangers have made a great signing in Lee Wallace. He is young, he is strong in the tackle, he has a good engine. can take players on, and can deliver a cross. I am sick that Mowbray never got him when he had the chance. We signed Danny Fox in instead of Wallace, then when we got our money back for Fox, he signed that person Brafheid. I think Wallace could be a future captain of Rangers, that is how highly i rate him. I really think you have got a bargain there tony.

you guys need to make your mind up for weeks you have been slatting rangers for not paying the 3 mil for big carlos an injured player with only 1 year left on his contract and now rangers are being desperate in signing a guy with 1 year on his contract for 1.5 mil ffs guys you cant have it both ways pmsl at this

Hi ed, hw u doing?

First apologies for my kn*b of a brother he posted a thing about Cardiff seeing someone, first a part of the manky mob n was trying to noise me up.

Secondly after being at the game last night (just got home) keeper although had very little to do, a few times spilled when he shouldn't have and also tool to long sometimes on the ball for me not worthy of the hoops jersey.

Lastly rumours have surfaced again about Jorge Claros and aldo de negris (excuse the spelling) a hope we get these players if I was to choose it would be de negris looks really good.

Hail Hail

The Real Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - I kind of sussed it wasn't you mate, we can see posters IP numbers and I have now noted the "tag" you use in the e-mail field, sorry about that mate}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha no worries, no need for an apology lol, he got a swift kick to his b*lls though lol, have u heard anything on those players at all?

Cumby Bhoy {Ed007's Note - I know there was interest in both of them but how far it went/has gone I don't know. I think de Negris would be a great signing but sadly Claros was shot last month in a car jacking incident, I have no idea of his current health situation although the injuries were not life threatening}

you know something guys if Rangers signed Tevez in your eyes he would be over rated if we signed Beckham he would be to old if we signed wiltshire he would be to young no matter who the champions sign in your eyes he will be pi5h i find it very amusing that only a few weeks ago there were numerous post stating that Wallace would be a good signing for Celtic but now he has signed for rangers he is pi5h lol

Tony

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Afternoon Tony, don't agree mate, if you's signed Tevez I'd actually $hit my pants. Most Celtic fans would do the same. Beckham, soz mate always thought he was over-rated, mega at deadballs but never seen him beat a fullback, including Stephen Carr Wilshere = same as Tevez.

Be honest though, is this buying for the sake of buying? He's prob the only bloke who'd take £6k a wk to sit on your bench, it'll still be a pay-rise to him won't it?

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

So i take it 1.5m for a sub is good business then tony sounds more like desperation, he wont get a game before either papac or whittaker is constantly injured and brain dead too boot would the cash not have been spent on putting better offers in for some of the other numerous players who have knocked you back or there clubs that knocked you back.

Ive just came back after passing the house of fun in milngavie about 2 hrs ago & there are about 20 punters waiting on news it reminds of " the part in the "life of Brian" so youd be expecting Craig White, to come to the gates & say "what do you all want? We want to see ally" "well you cant see ally cos he's been a very naughty boy, & made alot of offers to strangers to come & join him at a game of football, without first asking me could he do it, so he's grounded , "NOW CLEAR OFF the lot of ya

you'd think the forces of darkness have just had an offer for messi accepted the way they are going on, wallace hasn't signed yet could well end up like all the others and knocks them back, he is a very ordinary player nothing special, very injury prone and 1.5m for a player in final year of contract, looks like an act of desperation to bid that amount especially with there other bids being 300k and just under the 1m mark for him

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Wallace has signed my friend so right up u

Agree0 Disagree0

Am I missin summat here?? Wouldn't pay £880k for a proven goal getter but will pay double that for a skinny 2nd choice LB who's made of paper and a bit of sellotape??

Weird priorities. Is Sally following the defensive mindset of Big Eck ?

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not signed ya toss** not had medical or agreed terms yet so get it up ya

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry he has now signed, as for being a skinny we 2nd choice left back, he has 5 INT caps (5 More than Wilson I believe) and as TONY states ealier, look back on this site when the Gers first went in for him a few of yous were saying you wouldnt mind him at parkehead... JEALOUSLY OR WHAT, lets see what your team do with cash and signings before you start to down the Gers for buying one of the young Scottish talents about at the moment. At least we are not offering trials out to players like Sunday pub taems do, great Scouting and Prep work there by your management Ehhhh.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I lol'd - but to be fair I'd rather we checked em out than ended up in the Scheidt again

Shaunybhoy - enjoyin flashbacks now

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree why should we keep going down that route we should av had a keeper in last month.Asking keepers with plenty of experience in club and country and proven is nothing but embarrassing.Come on its the spl there coming to.As for a striker weve no intention of signing a striker just same old p:sh we get every season.Season ticket money is in now.YNWA

cant believe de nigris hasnt been signed yet. he is a goalscorer and more of a target man thats been lacking. £3m now could make us £7-8 in a couple of years

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£7? Christ i know times are tough and every penny counts, but i'd be hoping for a larger profit than that :p

I assume you meant £7mil, but bare in mind this guy is 29 years old. He won't really have much of a sell on value at 31/32 years of age.

Ed is there a chance we could still get Musona ? {Ed007's Note - From what I can see Hoffenheim had first option on Musona, but CFC offered more money. Kaizer Chiefs are holding out for more money, according to Hoffenheim's sporting director Ernst Tanner, which is causing the hold up. Hoffenheim are still very hopeful a deal can be reached, but CFC do have an outside chance of signing him now I would imagine. It looks like either Hoffenheim up their offer or CFC will step in.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This seems a bit funny to me Ed. I remember a Kaizer Chiefs director saying that he was not up for auction and wouldn't just go wherever the biggest offer came from. Now it seems they have changed their mind or have moved the goalposts for Hoffenheim.
Kevbhoy {Ed007's Note - Afternoon Kev, you are right about the Kaizers Chief director. It seems they had an agreement to give Hoffenheim first refusal on the player but no price was agreed at the time so now Kaizer Chiefs could say no to Hoffenheim and yes to CFC because Hoffenheim don't match the club's valuation of Musona.}

Morning Ed007, Tony and Billybhoy1, leaving soon for journey home so probably wont be posting until tomorrow.
Just saw something which angered me, apparently Celtic fan on facebook has made jokes about Ibrox disaster, I have posted on gers site CONDEMNING this idiot, (hope it gets posted) Lets cut out all this bile.

We as Celtic fans should be above all this, lets keep our heads high and get the humour we are known for back. Hail hail Timalloy {Ed007's Note - Morning Tim, have a safe journey home mate}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said Timalloy there's a line there which we know we can't go past with jokes about each other but there are fans on both sides who simply dont care. Good to see you condeming it though

Billyboy1

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to love bringing the Ibrox disaster up when the knuckle draggers spouted their '' garbage. I would say 'Is this the same Big Jock that ran across the Ibrox pitch to help the victims of the disaster'. This would make them think for a good 30secs before calling me a Fenian b*****d then walking off. Knuckle draggers hate being told things that are actually true and/or relevant.

TrampsPants

Tramps Pants = Racist

Agree0 Disagree0

How exactly is that racist?

Agree0 Disagree0

As a celtic fan, and a human being, I don't feel the need to condemn such things because I would hope that people realise that every celtic fan, apart from the small few who say these sick things, do condemn it and are horrified at what happened in the ibrox disaster. These people should be locked up because IMO its worse than singing some of the songs that are getting people into trouble.

Not so much a rumour as a commentary on our delightful media. Was checking Google to see what news there might be on signings and the game against Cardiff, when I saw a link to a story in the Telegraph:

"Celtic's new season could be hampered by taxing series of friendlies admits Kris Commons"

When I then went back to the team index in the Telegraph's web site the link to the story says:

"Celtic players exhausted admits Commons"

Have a look for yourself if you don't believe it I've looked and searched but the words exhausted, tired, or slightly weary don't appear anywhere in a quote from Commons, he merely says the list of friendlies and travelling is not ideal. I'd happily concede that, but who twists this into "players exhausted" - presumably some excited online content editor, however I make no judgement as to their motivation for the twisted link.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

21 Jul 2011 11:02:33
Is whyte tying his most valuable assets on long term deals in the knowledge that when the shame lose the tax case he will get decent money for them? This would explain why they are not cashing in on players at the moment because the rangers fans would expect that to be reinvested into the club. Also, do you think that rangers are pitching deliberately low bids/wages for players in the hope that they will be rejected? This would give the impression that that they are linking themselves to players to appease the support but have no actual intention of signing them. Miller is a prime example, Bursa want £700k, rangers get £800k from the Adam deal....Why not spend this? Because whyte is an asset stripper and wants to pocket as much cash as he can before the taxman cometh.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

21 Jul 2011 10:35:13
Morning ED007 I can't believe it on our page I think they want to commit suicide. I just put a message on telling them all to get behind the lads. We are after all starting with probably the same squad size we started with last season. Obviously I wanted to see at least 4 new players in by now but some people just have no patience.

Billyboy1 {Ed007's Note - Morning Billy, you can understand Rangers fans being angry, nothing they were or have been promised seems to happening except new contracts for players, and we all know why they were offered}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think he deserves the full transfer window first before we judge. If you were as quick to judge Lennon he would have been out the door by last Christmas as it was the 2nd half of the season the team got stronger.

Billyboy1 {Ed007's Note - It is the lack of transfer activity that is irking them, as I have said McCoist is showing a lot of naivety IMO, just as NL done last summer, talking to the press about players before deals are done or even close to completion}

Agree0 Disagree0

It bug me as well ED but i'm still gony go to games and get behind Ally because lets be honest he deserves our fans full backing. Whyte does need to show McCoist that he has his backing by bringing in some players.

Billyboy1 {Ed007's Note - It is not McCoists fault Billy, but he will be the fall guy if it does go wrong, and there is nothing wrong with backing your team through thick and thin mate, that's what being a supporter means. I've been through it all with CFC with the Fergus McCann take over, before that, and even sometimes during it, there were some black times, can anyone see the comparison between Jock Brown coming into CFC and GS at Rangers? I would bet that Whyte talks more to GS than he does to McCoist and that can't be a good thing}

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see where your coming from ED I just hope he backs McCoist because the guy is a Rangers legend and I would be gutted for him if things went wrong but lets not talk about footballing matters. How the game last night?

Billyboy1 {Ed007's Note - Typical pre season friendly Billy, it never really got going. The GK never really got tested, but like I have said, he isn't on trial, it is more a very thorough medical to check his fitness rather than his ability.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone else think we should make an offer for Kenny Miller, him and Hoops up front would be awesome. Crying out for another striker, you never know what you're gonna get from Samaras, too inconsistent, Murphy is a donkey and Stokes is an idiot off the park. Anyone agree?

Paulo67

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Sorry mate, but NO. He's the devil.

Stokesy might be an idiot off the park but on it he's a superb partner for Hoops, these 2 are just looking better and better. Lenny needs to give Stokesy one more chance to wind his neck in. Fair play, bin him off if he's dumb enough to blow it. Defo need a better back up than Sammy/Murphy, the African lads we're linked with will brick it when they see some of the cloggers in the SPL, need an old school Sutton/Hartson type who gives as good as he gets for me. Not Carew though.

Hi Tony, just read your post on your own site, OH DEAR are you disenchanted with Mr Whyte. Again he has made a rod for his own back by promising £15m.

hi Tim hope you are having a good hol and yes i am starting to get a little concerned regarding whats going on at Ibrox as i have stated before im not like the some of the short sighted ppl who use the Rangers and Celtic pages you know the ones who can only see through blue or green tinted specs if something is wrong then its wrong. if Whyte is being a knob then its Ally i feel for because he has been lied to just as much as the fans.

i don't think whyte realises the backlash he will get if he does the dirty on Rangers look what the few moronic rangers fans did to Lennon just for being Celtic Manager, Whyte will have to leave the country.

i would have loved Kenny Miller back but i never could see that one happening even if we matched or beat cardiffs offer for him then we would have lost out on wages as our top wage is now £25k pw and cardiff have offered him £35k per week and kenny looks after kenny and rightly so.

i also stated that with the current squad we have should be able to see of Malmo and the first few games of the season i think we may struggle against your lot but by then the transfer window will be closed and hopefully we will have a few new players in.

put it this way without new faces we can kiss 4 in a row goodbye

Tony

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Afternoon Ed, fellow Hoops and our old muckers Tony & Billyboy1.

I commented a few days back that I thought the league would be over by Xmas.

Admittedly it was mainly to get a reaction but it was also having seen some of the bids Rangers are putting in. It genuinely looks like a cover-up, Shooter doesn't want to part with his cash and Sally will be blamed for not attracting players to the club. Even heard Mark Hateley on radio this morning saying Celtic are looking like favourites looking at the current squads and we've not exactly strengthened dramatically.

I don't even think KM got as far as wages, Gers wouldn't pay £880k for a guarenteed 20 goals, whether he's a person is irrelevant, he will defo score tons in SPL. Less than £1m for 20 goals and Whyte doesn't bite? That's the thing I'd be worried about.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - Their bid for Miller never really got off the ground, they made a bid, Bursaspor rejected it and that was it. Like you say Shauny, he would have scored goals, that's a cert.}

So no money to spend now for the GETS, ASSets Davis, McG, Whit and Nichola Jellyfish will all be sold next year to bring in money as there is none in the Tin thats why they are on 5yr deals with allocated money for wages at £20K plus bonus per week. Relying on European money is not a certainty when trying to beat a fit Malmo team who are half way through their Season, according to Henrik Larsson or Peter McCloy - out of Europe and probably wont be in the top6. If Jellyfish gets injured then they will toil with no cover. New signing Aggie in the Merchandise Shop looks the best signing :-) Hoops will burn it up this year and come out the traps firing on all cyliners. I Lennon We Trust
