Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

So now that Simonivic is nearing fitness I am looking forward to see him partner Sviachenko in defence. Keeping him fit gives us so many more options for instance a back 3 of them plus Toure with Gamboa and Tierney as attacking full backs.
Or a back four of Lustig, Sviachenko, Simonivic and Tierney with Toure as a defensive midfielder allowing Brown further forward.

Sviatchenko should be dropped. He's not good enough and never has been. He's as slow as a week in the jail.

Has kolo Toure ever played dm? Not to my knowledge.

Pedro Toure started out at Aresnal as a DM before moving to centre back. I remember him scoring a a goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge from midfield although he may not have the legs to play midfield now.

Haha Old Bhoy. Just one of those games that sticks in the memory. Think it might have finished 2-2.

Obviously we have had defensive problems for a few seasons and the addition of Gamboa, De Vries and even Toure has had little effect. The return of Simunovic may work out well and if you add Lustig, Toure and Tierney, it may be the best back four at our disposal?
However, we still have a goalkeeping problem and a surplus of poor defenders that we need to address in the January window.

That just be over 10 years ago at least. There's not a chance he has the legs to play DM Think the suggestion was made trying frantically to fit 3 CB's into a round hole.

@joeshmo, he might need a game or two sitting on the bench but to say he is not good enough and never has been is utter tripe. He is not as slow as some people make out, either.

Why does he need a game or 2 on the bench? That's right, because he needs a kick up the arse as he's not good enough. His love of Celtic is to be admired but I'd rather he concentrated on defending and not getting turned inside out like he frequently does.

I wonder if Rodgers will make a point of playing De Vries tonight to say "This is MY first choice keeper" when usually in cup games against lower league opposition the back up keeper would play. Gordon has his faults but he is a far better keeper than De Vries. Hopefully we will splash a bit of cash on a top class keeper in January.

George Connolly put Marshall good form when he came on against Barcelona as been fearless because of his youth . As he got older he started doubting himself and made mistakes .
I haven't watched him that much over recent seasons but I have seen him stop a good few shots, I don't know about his distribution.

Seem to have a few 'disagrees' for my back 4 four suggestion. However, good to see BR has taken my advice and went with Lustig, Simunovic, Toure and Tierney = Lol.

Aye i said that back in the summer mate i think he would have jumped at the chance to come back home to Paradise. 3.5m was a steal for him.

Evening bhoys and ghirls. I'm looking for some advice, a steer in the right direction.

Living in England means a season ticket hasn't been a realistic option since the kids came along, but me and my bhoy come to as many games as we can manage. However I have managed to book a little trip to moenchengladbach via Amsterdam and obviously would love to bag a ticket for two for the game.

The club policy is ST holders with travel plans, for obvious and understandable reasons.

Does anybody know if others have got round this for away Euro ties? I know there will be plenty of people in the same position but thought I'd d ask you knowledgeable lot.

Thanks for giving your thoughts/ advice. We will go anyway just to be part of it, and maybe strike lucky out there. I am also now a member of the BMG supporters club to see if there's another option! 🍀🍀 HH.
