Think, he's saying, watch more football, less talking bout it.

{Ed007's Note - Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. I take it you're not getting the irony in the fact their text was talking about football and so are you on here.}

I'm not sure where I seen it but there was a post about Stokes on here the past couple of days?

Anyway I wanted to add that I actually quite like Stokes, not in a 'we are going to get millions for him' way but I think he's a decent player for us.

He's never going to be a lone striker but thought he had a good partnership with Hooper and actually think he's an above average SPL player. No denying Hooper was the better penalty box striker but (I know I might get shot down) I think Stokes offers more versatlity and pace, he can also hit a free kick although granted not recently. What can let him down is attitude and all his off field stuff.

Gone are the days we can have big earners in every position.

He'll probably have a nightmare on Thursday now lol

{Ed007's Note - Is it the new hairdo, is wee Stokesy starting to float your boat?}

I cannae go the hair-do lol

I don't think i've ever dissed him on here and I don't think he's that bad to be honest.

I wouldn't sell him at this moment in time, I don't think we have any better than him on the bench or in the development squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would think that either Stokes or Griffiths would be sold in January.
I didn't know a lot about Scepovic before he signed, but with what people were saying about him, I was hoping for a lot more.
Whether he is taking time to settle in, or whether he doesn't want to be here, I am not sure.
If he finds some form, and they were able to sign Guidetti, then I think they would sell Stokes, but at the moment I think they need him too much.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Stokes has scored or set-up some important goals for us over the past few seasons. The goal v Karagandy where he set up Forrest and the debacle at Kilmarnock when we were 3-0 down. Did not also have decent games in the Europa League a few seasons ago?

I'm not saying he's fantastic or anything like that but if it was down to him and Griffiths, then Griffiths can go.

After speaking to Ed002 (the boss on these things) regarding Lukasz Zaluska being attacked I've been told not to publish any posts speculating on the incident. Sorry lads, but we have to do what Ed002 says when it comes to this kind of legal stuff, her knowledge and expertise keeps us on the path of the righteous.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow Ed a woman that says very little, and could dig you out a whole legally is 002 married mate? :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sadly yes lol. Ed002 knows her stuff Jamie, I can't say too much but it's part of her job to know all about the legalities of football etc. That's why I was so confident of the outcome of the Sion carry on and the Legia game, Ed002 told me what would happen and it did. There isn't much happens in football that Ed002 doesn't know about.}

She is the Oracle. A speedy recovery please Zaluska as he is a good number 2 for us and hopefully the Bhoys will win on Thursday for the big lad

With Thursdays game being a must win for some security in our Europa group. With another win after this match all but securing a place in the knock out rounds in the Europa league and with us finally lowering the injury list. As we get to the final matches of the Europa league we can concentrate on getting back on top of the league.

It's clear skies ahead for OUR club. With fresh modern ideas and our players hopefully buying into the idea of being FULL TIME athletes or being shipped out and those players brought in. It is a new dawn for Celtic FC and I'm certain years down the line when we have finally become a force to reckon with in Europe we will all look back and remember it was Deila who started the revolution. It was Deila who drove players to become better athletes. It was Deila who tore the club up and started it a new.

Hail hail

Right on the money for me mate.Well said.

{Ed007's Note - It must have been another Ed that posted that up, Toprig, I didn't see it. Great post though and my sentiments exactly, it's good to see some positivity for a change. I was starting to feel lonely stuck in this corner, even Timalloy is acting up - I never knew doctors gave you Mogadon after a heart attack - some of his recent posts would make an onion cry.}

Hopefully we will. We need to start stumping up the cash for the quality required though. I'm sick of the whole 'F' word, because, it's just one aspect of being a good footballer.

Quality post Toprig mate just wish the ronny doubters had the same outlook

On Saturday we looked the part, I hope we play the same formation from now on. I thought the midfield of Mulgrew and Brown with Johanson playing the attacking starting from deep was excellent . Keep it up and we will all rave about Deila and the team.

RIP Jimmy McGrory. A true legend who was picked to play for Gods eleven on this day in 1982. Hail, Hail

Hi Ed any news on Izzy and his injury. Think the tackle on him was a disgrace on Saturday and cannot believe it went unpunished. I actually was saying the ref was terrible and wasnt doing anything about the intent with the tackles flying about from Ross County beforehand. I knew someone was going to get injured as he failed to control the lunges that were going on. Jim McIntyre should be ashamed with his tactics and got what he deserved.

{Ed007's Note -So far Izaguirre should be fit for Thursday's match but him along with Sunday's other injuries from the match, Johansen and Lustig will be assessed today. Commons should be fit for Thursday.
James Forrest is one the home straight with his recovery and RD has been monitoring his progress and with Adam Matthews also nearing full fitness we're starting to see a bit of strength of depth in our squad. We also have Tonev, Scepovic and Wakaso working to get their match sharpness/ fitness levels up to scratch.
Remember Guidetti still can't play 90 mins as well, once he gets up to 100% he will destroy defences up here and he'll get goals in Europe.}

Looking good then Ed. What's Dirks situation? Still clinging on by a fingernail to the hope that he might still get back to how he was at Ajax. We certainly play a system that might suit him more now.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Now that I can't help you with, Jimbo, I don't know where Boerrigter is fitness wise, but one thing's for sure he won't be risked until he is 100% ready. Like yourself I'd love to see him get fit and get a run in the team, I thought we had signed a real talent when we got him, I don't doubt his ability and never thought he deserved the 'sicknote' tag, he played for two months with a broken back he picked up training with the Dutch national squad, that's going to cause you problems. I've wondered at times if it is maybe a psychological with Boerrigter.}

Cheers ed. Thought tampon was a bit harsh as you say it was just one serious injury however it's looking more and more like a suitable nickname. That said maybes not tampon isn't as he's not in once every four weeks but never in - perhaps a Govan diaphragm. You may be right about psychological sides of things. Saw McGuiness has upped his role to the senior squad, that's what I thought he'd been doing all along not concentrating on the youths (not that that's a bad thing).

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I think McGuiness will do a lot of good, you just knew him and RD would hit it off. I thought this article was a good read and here's the interview:

Ta mate. Think they do sing from the same sort of sheet. Will give that a listen on my tablet or pc later.

McGuinness could be the real thing for working with Deila, McGuinness's defensive mind will be a great stability affect on Deila's attacking mind .
McGuinness had a novel way of getting the pains and aches out of the Donegal players bodies after a game, he would take them to the sea and he had a special work-out in the Atlantic Ocean .
