I know this is never gonna happen but would love to see celtic like
bilbao in spain only sign and have players from there region on the
books, better if all scottish.

another note why cant celtic and and rankers join the epl and have a b
team in the spl that can only play scottish u21 players. we could have
the money from the epl and be still helping out scottish football by
having to play scot u21 players and giving them exerpience.

Right,off on holiday for a month with the landscape of Scottish Football still uncertain.When i return i fully expect rangers to have been liquidated but from that point,who knows?Will there still be a rangers in some form?Will ibrokes be their home or was the Hampden rumour true? As I say Ed, I'm with you I think Hooper should go but its the comparissons to Carroll that annoy me, completly different players. I don't rate Defoe at all and the only reason Welbeck is going is because he plays for United but enough of England lol, who cares, I will be supporting the LFC players no one else. Who are Celtic after to replace Hooper Ed? Any 'big names'? I'd have thought you would want to make some sort of statement if he leaves to show the clubs ambition.

Smithy {Ed007's Note - I would be disappointed if we didn't push the boat out and do all we can to get Rhodes, we signed Hooper over him, and he knows what the club is about from his international allegiance. He would be better coming up here for a few years rather than sit on an EPL bench, the SPL could be a good bridge between League 1 and the EPL. At CFC he would have the chance to win things, gain European experience and force himself into the international set up (more experience) than he would hovering about some mid-table EPL or playing for a Championship team. Unless his motivation is money I think a move up here would be better for his career than signing for someone like Fulham, a few good years up here and his profile would rise even further. As you say mate, we need to make a statement and it would be quite a coup if CFC could get Rhodes, everyone has been talking about him all season, for people to suggest CFC couldn't afford him is just nonsense.}

Rhodes would be the perfect replacement but i wouldn't be surprised to see us go for Goodwillie.Hasn't really played down the road and might be itching to come back to Scotland.Might even be cheap due to relegation.

Just stumbled across this Ed, but Carroll and Hooper are completly different players, as far as I can see you all want a Carroll like player to play alongside Hooper or his replacement so why compare them? If you are going to compare Hooper to any striker in the England squad it should be Defoe, not Carroll. I agree he should have gone but fed up of the Andy Carroll bashing that seems to be going on and thought I'd defend the big man.

Smithy {Ed007's Note - I don't rate Defoe either Smithy, he has only scored 20+ goals a season twice in his career. I have said to Ed001 a hundred times that for an out and out goal poacher, England don't have anyone better than Hooper available, and don't even start me on Welbeck!!}.

For all the Celtic fans who wrongfully claim HMRC dont do deals check out HMRC vs Darlington fc £404,736 owed HMRC agreed to accept 0.0009% of total bill (£3.64) hard to believe but true and undeniable proof HMRC do do deals with English clubs. Now can you imagine how much trouble HMRC would be in if they refused a club who offered a better % deal just because they were Scottish especially in a year when the Scottish people have a vote coming up that could cost them Billions in North Sea Oil revenue, (wars have started for less) {Ed007's Note - There is no precedent for the Rangers case. I wish Rangers fans would stop comparing every case HMRC has ever had with their club's. Some cracker even tried comparing it to Harry Redknappers. Doncaster Rovers were not accused of illegal use of EBT schemes, neither was Harry, or Portsmouth, or Leeds or even Vodafone. There is NO case you can compare this with. I take it you were kidding when you said this,

I'll make it easy for you guys. Administration and liquidation happens when you owe somebody money and can't afford to pay them and they aren't very happy about it. In the case of Rangers, that's HMRC and other clubs, like mine, Hearts.

The primary creditor for us is Romanov. So, he owes himself the money. Why would he then force his own interest into insolvency? All he'd be doing is telling himself he's not getting paid, while watching the capital value of his asset plummet and the football team incur SPL penalties as per Rangers.

We'll be here for a while yet despite hearing 'you're about to go bust' from all quarters for years now. Zzzzzz.

On a different note - Hampden is a national disgrace. There are better stadiums in the English Championship.

Just watching Last Of The Summer Wine and wee Compo puts me in mind of Charles Green maybe its the accent or something,but the only difference i can see is that wee Compo knew he was fighting a losing battle with Norah Batty,can the same be said about Charles Green and Rangers.MACCA

Lads i just watched Sporting Lisbon vs Academica in the portuguese cup final.

Brought back some memories watching the green and white hoops running around the estadio nacional.

The strips are were the similarities ended mind you, sporting were rank rotten and were beaten 1-0 by Academica.
